This is one of my go to places. You can always get a good breakfast here. You can also get a good lunch here as well. They do not make their own bagels here as far as I know. I have been going there for a while because it is the closest bagel store and deli near my home. I now drive out of my way to go somewhere else. The owners are extremely rude. I hear them speak very badly about their workers and their customers. If you sit there long enough you will hear horrible things that you should never hear in a business. The bagels are just okay. They are overpriced. Sometimes The credit card machine breaks down so you only can pay cash all day. Sounds like a scam to me to avoid taxes but that's not my problem. As a consumer I want good service and a clean environment. Not the rude comments and filthy tables. If you guys don't like being in the business then sell the business. All the food is first rate truly and basically made to order. We go about once a week, it's not trying to be something it's not. I love bagels and they may not make them on site or at all, but whoever does make them does it right. My plan B place for bagels makes their own bagels but this place is much better. This place is so clean I wouldnt mind dropping my bagel on the floor and picking it back up to eat. The location is great, I can always find parking. Food selection is wider than what you'd expect because of the creativity of the staff. The bagels are fluffy and have taste, and the sandwiches are crafted so that they dont fall apart when you bite into them. Completely overpriced for everything I've ever ordered with service being less than adequate.$9 for a bagel with cream cheese and lox is astronomical. So when I opted for the lox spread on my bagel instead, I received a bagel with a salmon colored cream cheese, it didn't contain even one tiny piece of salmon. I wish there were more bagel stores in this area because I can't stand giving this place my business. Good bagels. Good breakfast sandwiches and wraps. And like many people said, the place is very clean and the service super-friendly. I can't say it stands out from most other decent bagel shops in my hometown, and I still have yet to find a bagel joint that rivals the Bagel Store in my former hood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. But when visiting my in-laws in Briarcliff Manor, the Delibagel Cafe serves our family's breakfast needs quite capably. Given some of the reviews I've now read, I may need to come back one day and try out some of their lunch options, which are a little more unique than most other bagel shops. Meatballs, mac & cheese, and pasta are among the selections people seem to rave about, which I would not normally expect to find in a place like this. But clearly, they have their fans and I can see why. A little more seating might be nice, though they do have outdoor tables which was great on a beautiful July day like today. Also not a fan of the $10 minimum on credit cards, since I live by my Amex and rarely carry cash. (I know, first world problems...) But all in all, a good experience. I'll be back. read more

Friendly place with a steady stream of regulars whom the guys behind the counter all seemed to know. No bathroom so they suggested the Subway next door. That bathroom is nasty. Don't go to that bathroom. Or Subway for that matter. Anyway, got an egg white, bacon n cheese on a plain bagel, coffee and oatmeal chocolate chip blondie while waiting for my car to be fixed. The sandwich came out fast and was very hot but was an average deli sandwich, nothing special. Bagel a little plain tasting but it was soft and fresh. It was noon so not a lot of bagels left but think there should've been more of a selection. The blondie was a little dry, I've had better. Pumpkin spice coffee ok. So not bad and not out of this world. Good prices and decent enough if you're stuck and waiting for your car, although the ambiance isn't much to soeak of if u have to hang out for a bit, which most of their regulars didn't do. Long time Ossining residents have been without a local bagel place since the Bagel Emporium closed back in the early 2000's so when I saw the sign for this place go up I knew I had to check it out and see if the bagels were just as good. GOOD NEWS - they are! The place is clean (spotless!) and the prices are great. I've been here at least 3-4 times now for both weekend bagels & cream cheese and lunch and the quality is always top notch. Bagels have that great quintessential New York taste (slightly crunchy outside with that warm soft inside) and the cream cheese is top notch. I've bought a dozen bagels and they're still great even a couple days later. I LOVE the scallion cream cheese. I also highly recommend having one of their bagel sandwiches. I've tried both the turkey and the roast beef deli sandwiches and the meat is not only piled on, it tastes fresh and flavourful. They also serve smoothies which I have yet to have but I'll be grabbing one my next time there. The sit-down area is small so it's more of a "pick-up" place but if you do want to sit down they have a monster HD tv to watch the local news (channel 12) on. They also have delivery and a delivery menu so make sure to pick one up the next time you drop in. The staff is quick and friendly. If you need some time to check out all they have to offer they don't get impatient (which if you been to the bagel place in Croton you KNOW what I'm talking about). Most surprising (for me) was the drink case. They have a great selection of flavoured seltzers (I think there was like 7 different flavours), iced tea, and last time I got myself a blood orange pellegrino (yum!). Feels like my old NYC deli from when I used to work on the UES. The only bummer (for me) is that they close at 6pm (which is normal for a bagel place) because I often find myself craving a bagel sandwich for dinner from there while driving home from work. read more

This was my third visit in this shop this morning. None of my visits were pleasant. This morning I placed my order of 18 bagels and three types of cream cheese. The counter person and the owner took care of two other customers before me, however I arrived there first and placed my order first. It is very unprofessional. During my first visit I asked whether their bagels are kosher and the kids at the counter were laughing at me. This was about the time when this store changed from an ice cream store to a bagel shop about one or two years ago. Since then the kids are no longer there. This was very unprofessional as well. I sense a bit of discrimination spiced with favoring male customers vs. women in his store every time I come here. I don't think I'll go back again. Three visits and all of them left a bad taste in my mouth. Firstly, let me say the bagels are actually quite good. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Walked in this morning, the place wasn't busy at all. Stood at the counter for five minutes while the staff were doing busy work. Finally, one asked me if I was being helped, and I ordered two bagels. The owner, who seems like a very nice person, rang me up, and I waited for my items. I only received half of my order, and the employee went back to his mindless chores. When I asked about my second bagel for my co-worker, the owner asked him what happened to it, and he became immediately defensive and aggravated, stating I had only ordered the single bagel. First thing that is important to know is that deli bagel cafe does not make their own bagels. This in itself is not a bad thing. You have the advantage of picking out the best bagel bakers and serve their bagels. For example, Millwood Market doesn't make bagels, but yet their bagels are amazing. Unfortunately the bagels here are not that great. They remind me of supermarket bakery bagels. On the plus, their coffee is really good. The staff seems to be really nice. Absolutely the best bagels and the best catering you would ever imagine. Most people think this is just a coffee and bagel shop but it is so much more. We have been using deli bagel for years for catering all our parties. The owner is one of the nicest people you would ever meet. He is a absolutely fantastic chef and makes the best Italian food you would ever taste. We most recently used him to cater a party after a funeral. They could of not been any more helpful. They offered confidences to my family, gave me an awesome price for the most delicious food you would ever taste, told me that they would help out with what ever I need and I felt like I was being treated like I was a family member. I order slot of food on an extremely short notice and they took care of everything. I would never go Anywhere else for catering. They also have the best bacon egg and cheese in town,delicious coffee, fresh delicious bagels, and their wings are awesome.!the staff is extremely friendly and the owner treats you like family.
