Driving by on an early Saturday morning, I noticed the sign and decided to get breakfast. I walked in, and I was surprised at how packed it was. There was a line, but it moved very fast. The place is big and has tables to sit at. The thing that made this an efficient trip was the service. The person taking my order made my order, then rang me up. It was shocking how fast I went from standing in line to enjoying my breakfast. I ordered a regular coffee with milk and sugar, simple and delicious, and a raisin bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was toasted and heavy on the cream cheese. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, I couldn't stop, which is why there isn't a picture. Next time I pass by, I will definitely stop by to try something else. read more

Fresh, delicious and picturesque! This place is always packed and with good reason. The sandwiches are really good and come with a little complimentary side. There's a good seating area which is hard to come by at bagel shops and delis in the area, There is a bit of a wait but it's worth it and the service is great. The wait is reasonable and orders are accurate. The coffee is delicious. I am all around pleased with this place and would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone in the area of Rockland Lake. It's worth veering off course of 287. It's really that good! read more

So I came back to this establishment after having a bad experience a few months ago. I've been coming here since I was fifteen years old, I consider this place as my second home. I came here with the intentions of getting breakfast and go on with my day. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and Paula was the one who was there to take my order. What can I say about Paula? She is one of the best people to work at this establishment. I honestly can say I've never seen Paula have a bad day, and if she did have one she doesn't show it off to her customers. So while I was waiting I spoke to John who I've known for a few years now and he told me listen we are sorry about your experience and the sandwiches are on the house. Personally I didn't care about getting the sandwiches on the house because my intention was to pay for it. When it came to ringing up my order Paula was like "Felix this is on the house and we are so sorry about your last experience with us". One thing I can honestly say is this establishment has treated me so well since I've been coming here. To see Paula and John expressing how sorry they were, definitely made me feel like they both cared about what I went through with my previous experience. Stopped in here twice this week. It's A well known local spot within Valley Cottage. When I worked in the area, bfast from here was the go to. I had the customary bacon, egg & cheese on A Honey wheat bagel, w/salt & pepper and ketchup. Along with A cup of hot lipton tea, milk and sugar added. It was satisfying per usual. read more

Simply the best place to get your fix for bagels and cream cheese in Rockland County. Their everything bagel never disappoints. I have been to all the Davids bagels in rockland and this 1 sticks out from the rest. They are always very consistent even in their busiest of times. Over the years this place keeps going farther and farther down hill. It used to be our go to breakfast place every weekend and still is - but that's only because there's no competition. The bagels are good - I'll admit that. But now their prices are higher than when I'm in Manhattan. And by almost 30%! Ridiculous. And the service might be the worst I've ever seen. They hire dumber and dumber employees every week. How you forget about half the sandwiches (when I only ordered four) is nuts. And how even after writing it down, you ask what you wrote down and then still get it wrong. Everyone I know goes here and everyone I know complains. They should shape up and fast before some competition opens and everyone stops going. read more

I've been here quite a few times (I live around the corner) and while the times I've gone have been OK, the last time I had visited David's in VC will be the last. I walked in and there were two people ahead of me. I waited in back of them while they ordered. More people eventually came in in back of me and a line formed all the way to the door(as usual since it's a busy place) I stood there getting looked over as it got busier and busier, but was patient because everyone had big orders and all I was ordering was a coffee. After 10 minutes of being ignored I mentioned to the guy who was behind the counter that I had been waiting at least ten minutes and he told me to hold on. He had gotten (who I believe is the manager) and she (who is usually pretty pleasant) was a bit rude and told me "the line is back there" when I explained to her that I had been on line for what was now over ten minutes she said "uh well, idk that. The line is back there" I left and never went back. It wasn't a scene or anything, I'm a waitress myself. However, it left a sour taste in my mouth. As for the food... It's good. Over priced for VC but good. Iced coffee is good too. However I will be taking my business to VC deli for now on. read more
