Service here is always great. It can take a little while, but everyone is so friendly that I never mind waiting. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. I came to pick up breakfast but ended up eating in with my son, and the staff was so sweet--they offered plates and silverware so we wouldn't have to eat out of the takeout containers. The bagels are perfectly fluffy and chewy, and the sandwiches I've had are always generously stuffed. Prices might seem a bit high, but for the consistent quality and genuinely kind service, I'm happy to pay a little extra. read more

Terrible customer service. It's really a shame because the bagels are good. The managers and cashiers are always rude. Every time we go in they are mean and have a bad attitude. Food was great over overall service was good. My problem was with their pricing. Their so-called menu in their store has not been updated to reflect their pricing upon my checkout. I only learned that my final bill was an extra eight dollars when I question the discrepancy they told me prices have changed. None of those prices are reflected in the menu this is not a good business practice. It should be fixed right away. read more

The owners of this store are unbelievable: They charge a 4% credit fee when credit card transaction fees are no where near 4%. Listen, if you want a bagel it's fine. If you want something from the grill be prepared to wait until everyone else has left the store. If it happened once I wouldn't even post about it, but it's a pattern. You could walk home and make yourself an egg sandwich before they got to it. The Bagel Loft is tucked away in a somewhat obscure strip of stores near the Crestwood MetroNorth Station. I like their bagels more than other Westchester bagel stores (such as Bagels by Sofia, in Larchmont, or Lenny's, in Pelham (which has a more interesting selection (I recommend the Bad Boy) but but whose bagels are otherwise not all that great). Their bagels are more like the bagels from Brooklyn Bagels (see my review)). Good bagels, worth the trip. read more

Very disappointed with the service . They were out of an item on their menu that we ordered. They called us to let us know and asked us if we would like to substitute for another item - after we gave them a substitute order they advised us they would not send us the food substitute and would just refund us. That did not help us with the food we were missing for someone to eat. , We tried to get them to send us a replacement order that we were willing to pay for and again they refused . I don't think there's a good excuse for 6 people behind the counter making people wait 15 minutes for a sausage egg and cheese. If you have all the time in the world, go for it. Just stocked up on bagels to go back to Boston: Whole wheat everything, sesame, and salt are SO good- huge, perfect crust with soft and chewy interior. The muffins are also awesome! Thought I would give this place a try , the 2x I went the food was not outstanding for the very overpriced bacon and egg, the wait was stupid and so not worth it, i decided to go in again since it was on my way , I waited patiently for a good while and when the staff member was done she completely ignored me and took someone else, I had forgotten you have to line up in a specific order here , so instead of reminding me of that she robotically took The guy in the correct spot , she must not be too bright as she was not able to process how to deal with a customer in the wrong spot. I seriously crave their bacon tomato cream cheese. I have never found anything like it at any other bagel place in the NY metro area. Not to forget that their bagels are perfectly crusty on the outside and chewy and delicious on the inside. Food is good, staff, especially owners are extremely nice, but if you're on your lunch break, be prepared to wait the entire break just to get your food. This is not intended to hurt their business but when you order a small container of tuna salad to go, it shouldn't take 15 minutes, especially when there's nobody else online . Small orders have taken over 20 minutes multiple times it's fine if you have nothing to do for the rest of the day but when you're on a brief lunch break it's not efficient. Kudos to these fine people! I am in my third trimester, and my husband and I decided to walk along the Bronx River pathway on a warm summer day. I thought I had brought enough water with me to last through our walk, but I was wrong. I stopped into this place to see if they might spare me some water, and the young woman behind the register was extremely sweet. Not only did she give me water, but she gave me a couple bagels to try, too! (We came late in the day so they had some extra to throw out.) It totally made/saved my day, and to top it off, the bagels were excellent, too!! We live in Scarsdale but will definitely be back to this place! Really shocked by the reviews here; but, maybe it is because I generally come for lunch during the week instead of the busier times (e.g. mornings or weekends). My "go-to" is a fresh chopped salad where you have the freedom to choose your own ingredients. At most places, this type of order usually turns into a pricey salad where added veggies are $.59-$.79 each -- that is not the case at the Bagel Loft! Note, premium items such as protein and avocado will result in up-charges though. My order of a large spring mix salad with chicken, avocado, and 5+ veggies comes out to $13 and keeps me (a 6'4" 220lber) full until dinner. This same salad at a place like Chop't or other competitors would easily be $20, plus I know I'm supporting a local business coming here. Most of the negative reviews seem to be centered around the service, which I haven't had any issues with. I've been here 10+ times since I started a new job nearby in Sept '18 and service has been incredible every time. I don't usually write reviews, but I love this place and felt it was important to provide an alternative perspective. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews of The Bagel Loft, but I really enjoyed this place. It reminded me of a Long Island Bagel store (where I am originally from) with many options of Bagels and Cream cheese, as well as a nice breakfast and lunch menu. Bagels came out quick, and were hard on the outside, soft on the inside: which is key for a good bagel. My friend from out of town, who has never had a NY bagel before enjoyed hers as well. The customer service was fine... Would not agree with other reviews stating it was poor. They were people doing their jobs, and getting the food out quickly. There was also plenty of seating which was great. A pretty big storefront. I may make this my new bagel store going forward, as it isn't a bad drive from my home. My only wish is a private parking lot, which is wishful thinking. read more

I'm a regular here and rarely does my order ever get messed up. Last time I visited, I had a two part order (some to go bagels and a couple to stay) and had a feeling something might get messed up especially since it was a busy Sunday morning. Sure enough, we waited and waited for our to stay order and it never came. I asked the cashier to check on the order and she got back to me admitting there was a mistake. She addressed the issue quickly and professionally and offered a free item to make up for the wait. When we finished eating, I asked her what my options were for the free item and another staff member stepped in and together they both gave me a bag filled with bagels, muffins and cookies to take home to make up for the wait. Super unexpected and so kind of them! Other than the friendly and professional staff, the bagels are fresh and their iced coffee is delicious! I highly recommend! read more

In order to speed things up, they really need to have each worker behind the counter dedicated to "one" customer at a time - from beginning to end: taking the order, preparing the order, and ringing the customer up. The bagels here are some of the best in the area. We're used to NYC bagels and were nervous upon moving here that we wouldn't find something comparable, but this is pretty damn close. The bagels are huge and perfectly doughey. They have all the typical accompaniments like flavored cream cheeses and BEC. They run out of everything bagels quickly so get here early. They handle orders inefficiently. I went here a Saturday morning, which was busy. Ordered 2 bagels and a bacon, egg & cheese. Guy behind me also orders a bacon, egg, & cheese. He gets his order before mine somehow. I waited for a bit, but eventually inquired about what was happening. Turns out it was sitting on the counter, just never bagged.... Tried to come on a Wednesday morning before work. There was 1 other customer in the whole place. Not surprisingly, he was complaining about his order being messed up. Took that as a sign along with not being addressed when I asked to order, quickly left. Go to Highridge Bagel, better service and prices. read more

I had to post a review because the reviews here are wild. I eat here all the time, work nearby in Eastchester. On one or two occasions I did have to wait a bit of time for my meal, but those have been one off experiences. Their bagels are amazing and I am very picky about bagels. The cream cheeses are all amazing as well. My only qualm is it's a little pricey, I'm still used to Bronx prices, but has nothing to do with the food quality and this is Eastchester so not too surprised. In my personal opinion I think there is some lightly veiled bias against employees, all of whom are Hispanic. On one that one occasion I have seen customers berate employees for small things and then complain to others about the staff speaking Spanish to one another. All that aside I've never had to return food r had an order wrong and everything always tastes amazing read more

a bit puzzled about the many bad reviews of bagel loft in tuckahoe cause the few times i have visited has resulted in only positive trips .the service is quick and friendly , covid 19 rules in effect , place is clean , the food products are out of reach of customers and only handle by guys behind the counter. good variety of bagels , spreads, sweets , etc. my egg white on plain bagel , blueberry muffin ,was just what i needed on a cool windy morning . did order a turkey and swiss sandwich for later on for lunch and for the price they dont go lite on the cold cuts . i enjoy good hot fresh bagels at least twice a week for breakfast and bagel loft in tuckahoe is a good place to pick some up. read more

Careless staff.. This place has so much potential. Pretty good bagel. Seems like they use quality ingredients. I've been here over 10 times since they opened and although I keep going back in hopes of a better experience, today I decided to finally sign the divorce. Again, good bagels but consistently terrible service. Just about every time I order, whether it's over the phone or in person, something is always messed up.. and to be clear, we're referring to a simple breakfast sandwich/bagel order. It's clear there is no order taking system put in place. Unfortunately for me I have a very finicky family when it comes to eating.
