Honestly one of the best spots to get a bagel around westchester for two main reasons: the food smacks and the service is top notch. My recommendations are both the cream cheese and bacon egg and cheese bagels. This store prides itself for providing a variety of fresh bagels and I can guarantee after my dozens of visits they have never disappointed. Over everything, what I enjoy most about this spot is the community it has built. The owners are so welcoming to everyone and the service is always great. You always see familiar faces when you walk into the store and they never fail to great you in. Seating area here is not too spacious but after their new renovation it's actually quite nice. There's bar and tables to sit at if you plan to dine in. A little perk this place has is it's location on the mamaroneck ave. It's right next to Dunkin' (literally shares a wall w it) and there are a variety of other spots you can check out to get a drink. There's a farmers market right across the street if you're feeling an Arizona tea and Green Life if you're feeling a smoothie. Just to clarify the bagel caffe does offer drinks too but im just listing some options you have in case none please you. I am utterly disappointed. I work on Mamaroneck right next to the Avenue bagel place and the girl is really really rude. She gives you an attitude for everything, she rolls her eyes if she doesn't agree with what you are saying and she makes it very unpleasant to want to order anything. I called to place an order and she took my order wrong then gives me attitude when I tried to correct her. Then another day I called to place an order and she had the audacity to say hurry up I'm too busy mind you after me holding on the phone for 6 minutes. she is rude and disrespectful and I am NOT ordering from there EVER AGAIN !! Now that I have been to Avenue Bagel Cafe a couple times, I only feel it's right to give them a positive review. This is a small place right in the center of Mamaroneck. They have a good variety of bagels that you can see through a glass window. You can then pick how you want your bagel (toasted or not) and if you want it to be a sandwich or what kind of spread you want. The service has always been friendly and quick. The rye bagels are loaded through & through with caraway - epic win right there. Definitely prefer these over the place near Trader Joes on the post road, but those aren't bad. Pretty good bagel spot. I often go there on Saturday mornings because my son goes to Tae Kwan do close by so to pass the time and get a bite I go here. They have turkey bacon, which I love on my egg sandwich, and the food overall is good. Hard to really mess up bagels. Staff is friendly and they always have a good line of people.
