    Lattes and pumpkin bread
    Melanie M.

another stop at cafe deux and this restaurant continues to amaze me!! i got a latte and pumpkin bread. the latte was super smooth, not too bitter, and had a wonderful coffee flavor. they also put the cutest latte art on top! like literally perfect. the pumpkin bread was sooo moist yet also fluffy and had the perfect amount of spice. i was shocked to find out it was gluten free. as a food scientist, i know first hand how hard it is to make a baked good gluten free and moist, but this restaurant does it perfectly. so, on my way out i grabbed some gf cupcakes for a picnic later today! so excited to share them with my friends! service was also kind and attentive

    $17? sure, gladly

This place is silly. The food is okay, kinda plain. not good, not bad, just fine. The service was absolutely terrible. Between the disinterest and being annoyed almost when we had questions for them. The prices are insane - like a casual little diner/cafe..no need for an egg on a croissant to be $17...heaven forbid you want a cobb salad..I think it was $35 The vibe is like that show on Apple TV "your friends and neighbors" which is an incredible show. Like a table of neatly coiffed wall street dudes having lunch before jetting off to the hamptons..polo shirt tucked in to khakis (with a pleat, a la 1985...kinda respect it to be honest!). Another table of bored housewives yenta'ing it up. If I was in the area, I'd probably return if they had a 50% off everything sale and I was hungry.

Homemade baguette and jams and bacon

I'm gonna be so real with you... we were just passing through on a roadtrip looking for a quick breakfast spot. Google brought us here and when they said it was reservation only or bar seating I was a little taken back lol I was like "is this place actually that good???" YES. Yes it is. Holymacaronis. I was hungover and couldn't stomach anything too heavy so I got a whole baguette to myself. Everything was so fresh and homemade with love and DELICOUS. I was debating on getting a whole other loaf to myself lmao. And my coffee!!! It was RICH with flavor. My only complaint is I was not a fan of the thiqueboiiii bacon. My fiance was in meat heaven tho. Our friends enjoyed their meals thoroughly. Make the reservation and GO! 10/10 would recommended, would go back again if in the area

Best French toast ever! I come with my family just to eat it. Great place for brunch, but not a big space. Make reservations!

From the door, we were kindly greeted and immediately sat. Evelyn, the manager, frequently came to check on us and our experience and truly made our night special. Our server Cole was attentive and made great recommendations. Let's get to the food...I know that's why you're here. We started with the escargot, duck wings and the bone marrow app special. It was my first time having escargot and I pity any other restaurant that may serve these to me moving forward. We were given extra bread just to make sure we could dip it in all of its garlicky, oily wonderfulness. The duck wings had a great Asian, sticky-wing type of flavor (another first for me) and the bone marrow just melted in your mouth. If you like the fatty part of the steak, say "yes" to the marrow. *chefs kiss* For entrees we had the chicken leg special, steak frite (you get a choice of cut) and the salmon. We were all just taking bites off of each other's plate all night. The gravy that came with the chicken special was perfect and paired amazingly with the crispy skin of the chicken. The steak; cooked PERFECTLY! (You see the pics!) & that salmon in the beurre blanc?! More perfection. Like the good children we are, we ate all our food and felt we deserved dessert. We ordered two apple tarts, which they outsource, and the crème brûlée. The apples were sweet and tender and I never have any bad words for crème brûlée . We also ended our evening with some cappuccinos and a healthy pour of amaro noninno; just devine. To top it all off, we noticed a DJ setting up towards the end of dinner service. What began as the dining area quickly turned into a dance floor. We had such a great time and can't wait to come back!

We had a noon reservation and there were only two or three other parties, so it was super easy to book and felt refreshingly unhurried. The staff was fantastic. They welcomed us warmly, even offering to take our jackets, which was a nice touch. The menu has a solid mix of breakfast staples like omelettes, pancakes, and eggs Benedict as well as lunch options like a burger, salads, and a turkey club. I went with the eggs Benedict and they were perfect. The potato hash came in a fun triangular shape; very crispy... almost too crispy, to the point I wondered if it was intentional, but still tasty. My partner got the pancakes and wow, huge. And delicious. Overall, great service, great food, and a gorgeous atmosphere. Would definitely return!

Some sections of the restaurant require walking up small sets of stairs, so they may not be accessible for all. Our table had couch seating on one side and was comfortable, but the table itself was a tiny bit small when accommodating a bunch of plates and glasses. To drink, I had the pomegranate martini. It was quite strong, fruity, and not overly sweet. My husband had the bees knees. It was juicy and flavorful. To start, we had a salad from the specials menu. It included mandarins, kiwi, goat cheese, almonds, and arugula. It was a large portion size and crisp and refreshing. We also had the spinach artichoke dip, which was rich and tasted very fresh. For my main, I had the penne. I loved the tomato cream sauce. I also got a side of onion rings. They were shoestring style, which I wasn't expecting, but they were piping hot and very tasty. My husband enjoyed his steak, but one should note that the dish is literally just steak, so you need to order sides separately if you want any accompaniments. For dessert, we had the lemon tart. It was lovely, especially with the accompanying berries. Our waiter was excellent. The only negative was that I asked for a special dessert and candle for my husband's birthday and they completely forgot. I even called earlier in the day to confirm they would be able to do it. So that was a slight disappointment, but otherwise it was a great meal.

The oysters were a little variable in size, but they were good. My almond-crust sole was good but could have been a little lighter on the almond. The filet mignon was good, though we cooked it a little longer at home. (It was cooked well, but the personal preference was a little more cooked.) I enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake ($12) too! I look forward to visiting in person someday soon.

With both à la carte options and a $44 Prix Fixe menu, we went for the prix fixe -- and it was the best decision of the day. A truly enchanting brunch that felt as if we had slipped away to a cozy café in Paris. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with live soft jazz music setting the perfect tone. The staff was warm and attentive, anticipating every need -- even the bread served with a luxurious French butter with black sea salt was top notch. No land Lake served on their tables. Cocktails Bloody Mary -- perfectly mixed, bright and briny with just the right touch of horseradish Peach Bellini -- light, fruity, and beautifully balanced Appetizers Salmon Tartare -- diced fresh tuna , with a vibrant pesto sauce, served with crisp baguette toasts. Not only did the food roll off my tongue, but it was a substantial first course. Hubby opted for the Soup du jour, a comforting individual tureen of butternut squash soup, delicately garnished with sunflower seeds -- savory with just a hint of sweetness, the perfect bowl for a cold, rainy day. I had a few spoonfuls and can agree it was delicious and warming. Entrées So many options I really had a tough time picking one. So many classic French dishes, but the buckwheat crepe won out. A SMOKED SALMON CREPE Filled with chopped salade, in a buckwheat crêpe, sunny up egg. Great to the last bite. Husband continued with a French theme steak sandwich with brie cheese, pickle shallots, aioli, and pomme frites Dessert Chocolate Mousse -- airy, rich, and deeply satisfying; the perfect sweet finish. The waiter comes over with a huge tureen of chocolate mousse and scoops out a huge amount of it to add in your dessert plate . Quite the presentation. Paired with after-dinner drinks, this brunch was a seamless blend of French elegance and warmth -- every bite, every note of music, every detail thoughtfully done. A truly delightful experience we can't wait to repeat.
