Farm Cafe in Valhalla deserves 5 stars! Great food, friendly service, and cozy vibes.

I went to The farm cafe on a rainy Saturday morning about an hour after opening and the weather did not deter anyone from stopping by. The cafe was filled to the brim with people. The menu is extensive with an insane amount of options. As someone who doesn't frequent too many coffee shops, the menu was a bit overwhelming for me but it seemed to have many delicious options that when I return I will be looking forward to trying. I got an iced latte with maple brown sugar, oatmilk, and cold foam. The cold foam was very sweet and to my taste. The coffee part was not as sweet and I think that due to ordering error. Highlights for me was the coop classic breakfast sandwich that I ordered. The sandwich was a great size and very tasty. It was hard to hold in one hand. And I loved every bite! The cornbread and chocolate chip cookie were equally as delicious. In total for us to receive everything we ordered it took about 20 minutes with the sandwich taking the longest which is reasonable considering the amount of people at the cafe. I would 100% recommend stopping by the farm cafe it's well worth the visit and if the weather was different it will nice to even enjoy the outdoor seating as well. Oh Valhalla. How lucky you are to have this addition to your downtown. As an SOB that knows a thing or two about a thing or two, I think I got a thing or two to say here. Firstly (and foremostly) - We live in a disastrous world. Such a world of disaster that there are those in our community that would underrate Farm Cafe on Yelp... for what reason? This is five star without a hesi, without a crossover, no spin to the basket at all... straight to the hole. Lively and lovely. Well presented interior with friendly and attentive wait staff even in the chaos of a newly functioning farm. I can't go into the detail, for I forsook that I would keep it a secret, but a special inquiry of me and mine was granted as a request without us even knowing. Surprised with a treat, at our seat, I nearly rose to my feet to applaud the staff for doing so. Again, I can't go into the detail, so stop asking. Don't even think about it. LB, the untold stories... Anyways mother of lord what a unique cinnamon roll / bun. I can't describe it enough. Flaky and buttery like a croissant with a jubilant cinnamon flavor topped with a youthful yet experienced and rich depth of texture and taste. I felt bad for the brownie here of which was strong and sturdy on its own. As a sole practitioner, this brownie would bop you around with a pogo stick until you popped. However - next to the cinnamon roll... it looks like the little engine who couldn't. Cake pops, cookies, donuts, sweet brunch, salads and sandies. I've come to this cafe twice now & absolutely love the interior decor & variety of foods & drinks to choose from! I have tried their iced cookie butter & vanilla latte & both were good; just not as sweet I thought they would be. I've also had their breakfast sandwiches & banana bread & both were extremely delicious; especially breakfast & the staff are very kind & informative. The only downside to this cafe is the prices for their menu items but overall, a great spot for coffee & sweet treats! Looking forward to my next trip here. read more

I have visited the farm cafe a couple of times now and have enjoyed my meals. if I would base my review just on that it would be 5 stars. What I can't look past is the cross contamination of the gluten free options. I asked an employee if they had gluten free pastries and she said yes, I then followed up with asking if they were in a separate space from the regular pastries and she stated they were right next to each other. Putting them together allows cross contamination and is a huge heath risk for people who have celiacs disease and are allergic to gluten. It is a mindless error that can cause serious gluten intoxication to someone and should be taken more serious. read more

Just updating my review to match my most recent experience. This is the second time I placed an order, tried to confirm the items with the person taking the order and then me waiting an absurd amount of time for them to tell me that I never ordered said item. I even asked around 25 minutes in if my order can be checked on and the girl behind counter said yes I'll check on it and never did. Thankfully another staff member (brunette) actually made it right and she's the reason I didn't leave one star in my update. I like their coffees and pastries, yes they are expensive but it's fine for a once in a while thing. But to wait 35 minutes is unacceptable. The staff taking orders should confirm the order with you or there should be a screen the customer sees as they take the order so we know the person got it right. read more

Even in freezing weather I will go lengths to get an iced coffee, especially if it's at a brand new cafe that everyone has been raving about! I made it to Farm Cafe on New Years Day and was really looking forward to trying the tiramisu iced latte. When I arrived less than an hour before they closed (my fault) they were out of tiramisu but was recommended to try the cookie butter latte. It was definitely a good choice. Ordered delivery from here and everything arrived fresh and fast. I went with the Coop sandwich, and it completely hit the spot: the eggs were super fluffy, the bacon was cooked to a great crisp, and I was honestly a little unsure about the sun-dried tomato aioli at first, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. The iced coffee was really good and refreshing, too. But the absolute bright spot of the order? The Biscoff donut. Seriously, need I say more? It was incredible. Visited earlier this weekend and they had a variety of pastries/baked goods to chose from including 3 gluten free baked goods. I tried the GF salted caramel banana chocolate chip bread and it was amazing. The flavors were delicious, not overly sweet (think European level of sweetness in baked goods), and the texture was on point - if you didn't know better it would have been impossible to guess this was GF. I also tried their pumpkin spice latte. They make all of their syrups in house. It was really good, I could actually taste pumpkin and not just the spices. What I appreciated the most is this wasn't sickly sweet; however, there was so little sweetness to this I think it could have benefited from just a tad sweeter. I'll definitely come back here for the PSL - so difficult to find a good one that doesn't taste like chemicals. It was really busy mid morning which made ordering/waiting area a bit chaotic. I got 1/2 cookie butter 1/2 carrot cake latte & my fiancé got mocha chocolate drip, both tasted good just wish there was a topping like cookie butter on top of my coffee or asked how sweet I wanted it. I'm a total sucker for a cutesy coffee shop, so obviously I had to try this place. It's new and in soft opening, so yes there are a few kinks, but patience, people. I went with my bestie and it was packed (not a single seat in sight). I ordered the cookie butter latte and it was so good that when they ran out of the banana latte, my friend got the same thing no regrets. We also tried the gluten-free banana bread, which was good. Had lunch with my girlie here today and enjoyed it very much. It was busy and an announcement was made that it would be a 40 min wait for food but we waited about 20 mins with coffee order and food coming out which was perfect. Seating is limited but ppl are pretty considerate in not just sitting around. My daughter had the strawberry matcha latte with Oatmilk and warning it's not as creamy as one would want very traditional matcha tasting. I had a caramel latte with Oatmilk delicious. It was great til it wasn't. I've been coming here since they opened and getting the same drink almost every day. Today when I got my drink from the counter, it tasted off so I asked them to remake it. The woman who made it was quite rude and wanted to know what was wrong with it, and I said it doesn't have what it's supposed to have in it, including not being sweet enough. They remade it and it was so bad, so overly sweet, it was undrinkable. I wanted them to make it again but it was so busy and I didn't want to deal with the attitude again. If I am going to spend $13 in a drink, I would like to be able to drink it. read more

I paid 75$ for three uneatable sandwiches with turkey bacon that was raw and you can tell it had been sitting out for a while. The panini so called sandwiches were not panini they were just cold bread. The coffee was blaaaaaaaaaaaa absolutely horrible. Like who are you guys fooling. I'm so disappointed I drove a 30 min. To get here just to be utterly upset over the money I spent for something I could've gotten at Panera for 30$. This place is super cute. Definitely very busy. I got the strawberry Matcha and it was delicious. The only thing I would have to say is that the prices are really really high. I think having homemade syrup is such a plus though and most of the time I will be willing to pay that price for homemade syrups. read more

There is no place on planet earth unless hand delivered by a French Pastry Chef freshly from France morning of that anyone should be leaving a cafe paying $20 for a small coffee and croissant or brioche. 3 stars only because the food was pretty good. Understanding this place is fairly new but I don't think they'll survive with their current pricing model. Myself, wife and toddler came in for breakfast and it was $60+ for 2 breakfast sandwiches a bagel with cream cheese and a cake pop. A PLAIN BAGEL not toasted is $3 and then adding cream cheese on it was an additional $3.50 (like what??) $6.50 for a plain bagel with cream cheese. A small cake pop was $6?!?! My wife and I both had the Harvest Hen. 1 with cheese and 1 without. They got the order wrong they both came with cheese and this sandwich was 15$ each and its 80% ciabatta and 20% middle ingredients. I was very excited for Farm Cafe to open. My first experience there left much to be desired. My main piece of advice is that the owner should be on the floor greeting. It's a new business and crazy crowded! Confused about where to order bc there was no clear line. Just people everywhere. Couldn't see the menu until I got close to the register. They were sold out of the cookie butter latte when I ordered. The owner never said hello to anyone or even smiled. In my opinion when you have a jam packed place of people waiting and you're a new business, you should be smiling and saying hello to everyone and thanking them for coming in and being patient. She also should have guided the lines for the registers. I ordered a "feather and fig" sandwich which was delicious. Overall I would go back again maybe in a few months hoping for a less crowded day. Also I would like to add that it has a Kerber's Farm (Long Island) feel but yet I saw no mention of what farm they source from. read more

I had the feather and fig sandwich and it surprisingly had zero flavor. With the caramelized onions and goat cheese you would think it would ! Maybe of the whole sandwich two bites had actual flavor. Beware the price on the menu vs what they charge at the register I was so excited for this place to open up. There's such a lack of cool coffee shops in Westchester. Thoroughly disappointed. Not only was the coffee not great, they charged me an extra $1 for almond milk. Which is crazy, since actual milk is more expensive than non-dairy milks. I don't think it's fair to punish people for having a dairy allergy. Also a reg coffee was listed on the menu less than what they charged me at the register. And when I asked about it, I was told they are 'still working out the kinks". So my small coffee with almond milk was almost $7. Not worth the money. read more

The Farm Cafe is an absolute gem. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, organic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. My favorite is the feather and fig. The vanilla bean cappuccino... easily one of the best coffees I've ever had. The space itself is beyond impressive. Beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully decorated with a warm, inviting vibe. And the service is always amazing. Friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. The Farm Cafe is a must visit. I would go daily if I could. I'll start with a positive - the staff was working hard. However, I wish they had time to notice the utter confusion in terms of the lines (ordering/waiting for pick-up.) Because of this, a nasty customer scolded my husband and I for "creating a new line" - which we clearly did not intend to do. There was seemingly no manager in sight. We paid over $40 for two sandwiches and coffees - nowhere to sit and no one clearing tables. The lids wouldn't stay on the coffees. We ate in the car so we wouldn't be in the way waiting for a table.
