A quick Google search led me to AB's Cafe N Grill, and I'm glad it did. I called ahead to see if they could make one of my favorite breakfast items, a breakfast burrito. I spoke with one of the owners, who was friendly and happy to make one even though it was not an issue at all. That willingness to accommodate a customer made a great first impression. Parking was probably the biggest challenge. It can be a little difficult in this area, and I ended up parking at the nearby gas station. Once inside though, everything was worth it. I ordered a breakfast burrito filled with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, hash browns, and sausage. It was simple, but sometimes simple is exactly what you need. The burrito was toasted, which gave it a nice crunch on the outside while keeping everything hot and melty inside. Every bite was packed with fluffy eggs, creamy cheddar, flavorful sausage, and just enough freshness from the pico de gallo to bring everything together. It was hot, crunchy, creamy, and incredibly satisfying. This was exactly the hearty breakfast I was looking for, and it absolutely hit the spot after a long morning. The Gobi Manchurian is outstanding, with crispy cauliflower in a bold, savory sauce that's impossible to stop eating. I also love that they bake my samosas, which are wonderfully crisp, lighter than the traditional fried version, and filled with deliciously seasoned potatoes. Next time I'd ask them to double toast the bread but would otherwise change nothing. The fries and onion rings are fabulous-- seasoned (onion rings) perfectly, crispy and generous portion. On this somber Memorial day we needed to gather with friends and City Limits Diner was the place to go. I first became aware of City Limits when I saw the documentary of Vogue magazine's, André Leon Alley, who was a frequent customer at City Limits, before the pandemic of 2020 reeled it's ugly head. Somehow I knew, as a newly suburban transplant from Manhattan, it only made sense to visit the place that a worldly Vogue Stylist had dined as my diner destiny! City Limits is one of the most popular diners in Westchester County. You will always feel welcome here, the menu has the usual large array of typical diner menu choices, but with added flair. Every item is good, delicious and fresh. I really like a place that's always full of life, reliably consistent and welcome. For breakfast, I decided on their special of Pumpkin Pancakes. other people in my party ordered omelets, a muffin, and other items. After about 15 minutes, the order was ready. I went in to get the juices, and the kind gentleman working there brought out the tacos. The juice was delicious and was juiced then blended for the perfect velvety texture. It was super fresh, as evidenced by all the fruits and veggies washed and displayed in the deli case. The tacos are served with a piece of queso frito, a side of salsa verde, and a side of salsa roja. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portion was generous. The salsas were very flavorful with great heat. I only wished the filling had a little more salt or a little more chorizo to give it the additional saltiness it needed. Overall, a good solid meal.
