Great food. Super cute place. Heads up, Cash, Venmo or Zelle only and breakfast ends at the 11. Reasonable pricing. Apple Maps takes you to the back door so park in the front parking lot. We had breakfast but the whole menu looked delicious. Servers were very kind and allowed us to take our time with our meal. read more

We stopped in to grab a cup of coffee and a pastry. What an adorable place! We were greeted by a very friendly Lady who made us feel at home. The inside is pretty with linen table cloths and artwork done by local artists of Rye Beach and the Boardwalk. We ordered a cinnamon coffee cake, a cup of coffee, and an iced tea. The cinnamon coffee cake was hot and fresh out of the oven. Just delicious! Coffee was freshly brewed and the iced tea was perfect. We will be back for lunch soon! read more

One of my favorite breakfast places in Westchester. My fiancé and I usually go here and then head for a walk at the beach. Their pancakes are some of the best around. They taste delicious and are so fluffy and airy. They also have the best omelets and home fries. The cafe is run by a husband and wife. They are the sweetest and kindest people. Always remember us when we go and makes up feel special. Definitely try this place for your next Sunday breakfast. read more

This is, without question, the best restaurant in all of Westchester. The menus for breakfast or lunch are truly amazing. I truly believe that the people who own and run this incredible place should be given a medal for running this masterpiece. Try the sliced steak, no--try the Pasta, no--try the cheddar cheese steak, no--try the Beef Carpaccio, no--try the etc., they the etc., try the etc. When I say this place is amazing, I really mean it. It is truly incredible!!! read more

worst spot! only saw waiter twice - once to order food and then again when he dropped it off. i ordered the yogurt with granola on the side and fruit and he brought it with granola on it and said "oh the chef must have misunderstood" but didn't swap it out or make it right. never checked on us. would not recommend. sad. has potential and sweet environment but not good enough to have crappy service. better off going to the market next door. read more

Great food. Classic vibes. Relax ambiance. Very friendly. Worth visiting. Few of last places left with and old school feel.

Went here solo ordered the banana-walnut stack, the pancakes are dense but good! One star off because they still only have pork sides and cash only! Overall, I felt welcomed and the food was good, not too expensive either. Please get turkey substitute it would put you over the competition. read more

On The Way Cafe - Walnut and Banana Walnut Pancakes - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Rye, New York

If I could give it a zero, I would. The menus are filthy. Not a good look to start. The pancakes are thick, doughy, with a terrible aftertaste that lasted all afternoon. My dining companions, who ordered well-done scrambled eggs and toast, received a plate of gooey yellow stuff and soggy, cold toast. The server was rude, spoke in a loud voice, and seemed annoyed to have to take our orders. At meal's end, I took note that it was cash only and paid by Zelle, using the phone number listed on their website. It didn't go through. The manager gave me a completely different number, and then said use the QR code, which I finally did, holding up my party, who were anxious to get out of there after experiencing the filthy restroom. When I saw that the payment went through, the establishment had a different name: "We're On The Way." Come on, man--put your Zelle number on the check--make it easier to pay, at least! And clean up your act. It's probably safer to eat at Playland. read more

Good home style cooking. Great value! Breakfast after church is never a disappointment. Service is great and food is cooked the way you ask.

My family and I stopped here on our way back to Maryland coming from Cape Cod. It was highly rated on yelp, so we decided to give it a go. We called about 30 minutes prior to inquire if they has space for a party of 9. When we arrived, our table was set up! We were greeted and escorted to our seats. The service was very friendly! The woman who explained the menu and specials to us seemed to be one of the owners. She made great recommendations. I decided on the crab and goat cheese omelet which was delicious! I am a huge fan of goat cheese, so I appreciated this addition. Others had pancakes and French toast which were said to be fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend checking them out when you are on your way ;). read more

Friendly, clean, cute and comfortable environment. Feels like home. Our waitress was friendly. Food was delicious. They have the best home fries I've ever had. On The Way Cafe - Mushroom, bacon, and tomato omelette. Organic 3 Egg Omelet - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Rye, New York

So disappointing! I had read good reviews and was looking forward to trying this place. the service was pretty abysmal - for a place the specializes on breakfast, they did not seem ready for a Sunday crowd (and it wasn't even full). The bathroom was really dirty - the floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in months. We ordered the special eggs in purgatory - almost inedible. the tomato sauce was nothing special and the bread underneath was completely soggy. I had asked for my eggs to be cooked medium and they were super runny. Coffee was weak. We left and had to go home and eat breakfast again because we could only eat a few bites. I have heard the baked good are good, so maybe we just should have had scrambled eggs and a muffin. I won't be going back. read more

This intimate family run gem is consistently the very best breakfast (and lunch) offering in the tri-state area! The menu items are all delicious, and the homemade scones and pastries are incredible. Have been here twice and thought it was alright both times. Definitely pricey for what you get. I got the parmesan and chive omelette with home fries and toast, all of which was good. My husband ordered the buffalo omelette, which sounds interesting, except it was just eggs with cholula hot sauce poured over it, womp womp. Also, the portion sizes are waaay small; serving the meal on square plates that were far too big made the amount of food look almost comical. We also ordered a short stack of banana walnut pancakes, which they are known for. The pancakes themselves were good, on the small side (of course), and priced at what a full stack should be. And the syrup we were given was weirdly not sweet? I don't even know how it's possible to have unsweet maple syrup, but here we are and that unfortunately kind of ruined it. On the previous occasion, my husband ordered a corned beef sandwich he thought was great, however my meal wasn't as memorable as I can't recall it. The food itself is not the issue, it's the portion sizes, especially for the price, and having a cantankerous waiter didn't help either. I was debating between 2 or 3 stars, but then the image of my husband eating my toast to try and feel full popped in my head and that's just unacceptable. Sorry, but it's not like they are serving truffles and caviar. Throwing in an extra egg and some potatoes would be cheap enough and keep customers coming back. read more

What a quaint little cafe whether you are headed north or south or anywhere in between. The food was delicious, as everything is locally grown. I had a delicious egg white goat cheese frittata and for dessert my friend and I shared a blueberry crumb cake which had blueberries inside and it was still warm. I wish I was local so I could go more often. I went here while I was in New Cannan for work and we were looking for a solid, hardy breakfast --- something that isn't easy to find when traveling for work with a small timeline. I ordered a dish that was on the specials list and I will say, it has changed my entire way of eating eggs. They made poached eggs but instead of using just water to boil and poach, they did it in tomato sauce. It added flavor, spice and was a delicious sauce to accompany my breakfast. Since then, it inspired me to do the same and even take it a step further, salsa/hot sauce. This cafe was delightful. Great mum and pop vibe, kind servers and cashier, great food with a wonderful taste and not too hard on the pocketbook. Again, if I could, I would be a regular! read more

Great little diner type restaurant, but with a fine dining twist. Really glad to have found this place! I came on a recommendation and was instantly impressed. Recently saw that it got a nice right up in the Times, so Im sure many more folks will be grabbing a seat at the counter. I came for lunch, however I'll be back soon to check out the breakfast menu. It is located just across the street from the entrance to Playland Park, which means you can go for a stroll along the boardwalk after you chow down. I tried the tomato soup special and built my own burger. The burger was scrumptious and very well cooked. Parking is a little tight for this location out front, but there is a lot around back if you go down the side street behind the market next door. And think about riding your bike because the roads around here are very bicycle friendly. Looking forward to making this a regular spot on my future brunch adventures :) read more

On The Way Cafe - Check out the color of that yolk! So fresh tasting - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Rye, New York

I've been to On the Way Cafe twice. We've had very good meals both times. The space is cheerful and is a bit more upscale than the usual breakfast spot. It's not a big place. We dined there early Sunday morning both times and did not experience the crowds that other posters have commented on. We have found the service to be excellent both times. The waitstaff was attentive and frequently offered refills for beverages. The coffee is a step above that of most other places. The blueberry pancakes are terrific and worthy of all of the praise that they have received. The other food has been very good and well prepared. The prices for omelettes and organic foods are definitely more that that of the corner diner, but not out of line with places like City Limits. We've been very happy with OTWC and plan on going back. It's not the cheapest place for breakfast, but for a couple of bucks more than a greasy spoon offers more of a restaurant or cafe vibe. I can, however, imagine having a different experience at 11 am instead of 8:30 read more
