    "Everything" bagel

Ordered an everything bagel... just look at the photo... where's the everything?! Cream cheese was the only good part.

Service was fast and amazing. Bagels were to die for. If you come at the end of the day they will give you their left over bagels. Best bagels in the area. Highly recommend.

This bagel store is next to the Metro north larchmont station which is a plus for sure. They also have a sandwich I think it is named the metro north. I got there before a rush of people came in. Line does move fast but it is a bit confusing as there is a sign that says order here but really you go to the front to order. Staff were ok. There really is nothing like a NYC bagel though. I got a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was ok but I have had better bagels. They have some tables and chairs inside and out too. As I said before it is conveniently located where they get alot of foot traffic due to the train station being right there.

Our food was fine so I'm leaving 2 stars. My problem with this place is the staff. My kids and I stopped by to get some bagels for brekkie/lunch. When we entered, two of the employees were having a conversation with each other and it was almost as if they expected to ask to be helped. We were not greeted. We stood there for some time and then were given dead stares. It was odd. They acted as though we were interrupting them. It felt as though they did not want to assist us and perhaps that's true. In any case, the place looked clean and all the food is prepared in plain view and since I had no intention of looking for any other place to grab a bite to eat, we sucked it up and ordered our food, much to my son's disdain. He would have preferred we left right then and there. The employees seemed genuinely unhappy with their jobs and considering that they're face to face with the patrons, they might want to seek alternative employment. Our food was prepared fresh in front of us, and we took our items to go. The food was OK. We all had bagel sandos. When we left, I noticed many other shops that I wished I would have gone to try instead, just because of the experience. Whomever owns this place may want to speak to the staff about hospitality. If they're family members, that may be the beginning of the problem.

Supposed to be salt Bagel With Cream Cheese and tomato. $7.75 I paid

I am so disappointed because the bagels are good here but this is the second time they have skimped out on cream cheese when I ordered a sandwich. The prices are way too high. $7.75 for the wrong bagel, one tiny tomato sliver and barely any cream cheese. I'm not going here anymore. Westchester has too many bagel shops to waste my money here. Sorry but I'm pissed

The perfect and toasted everything bagel.

Incredible! This new bagel spot has the best bagels in Westchester. They start making the bagels at 4am in the shop, and keep making them all day until sold out. They make them ol' fashioned style, kettle-boiled, and so fresh. We got a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, and it was epic! All at once, doughy, crispy, fluffy, and flavorful. They even make other breads in their shop, like fresh burekas and onion-stuffed bialys. See you again soon, Sofia! 5 stars!!!!

Extremely disappointed. Ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese ($15) and they only put one slice of lox on the bagel.

Great family owned business. Bagels are always fresh and tasty and reminiscent of old New York. Staff is friendly and proficient.

Although the aesthetics were very attractive and it reminds me of a kitchen, my expectations subsided quickly upon my visit. I spoke as I entered Empire Bagels and the lady taking care of another customer did respond. I went closer to the counter to study the menu. The lady helping the customer was finishing 4up with that customer and went over to the other lady behind the counter. They saw me looking at the menus and offered no assistance. After 3 minutes I finally found the breakfast menu. I had to wait for them to finish conversing in order to place my order. No, how can I help you! I chose the number 2 which was a heart healthy wrap which consisted of 3 egg whites, broccoli, spinach, and tomatoes on a whole wheat wrap. I just think the entire interaction should have been more professional and there seemed to be a lot of challenges going on here. The biggest challenge is customer service skills, and then there is a comprehension challenge, and a language challenge. The sandwich was okay, I have had better. Better sandwiches and customer service, oh wait.. I stated that already. I won't return because I can get better food and service at Stanz. It's hard to find anything as an option when I've been eating at Stanz since 2002. And Stanz addresses me by name and are more than willing to make something off the menu. I do wish them success but with the way they are conducting business, they're going to need a lot of hope! Inspire more, Yelp more!

My first experience was in the summer of 2005, I purchased a bagel, cream cheese and lox. Through the years I've used Village Square Bagel on several occasions to cater Christmas breakfast for subordinates, ongoing for 16 years. Coming in today was a bit different. Although I was greeted and welcomed, it appeared there was a failure in communication. I had to keep repeating my order. There is a serious language Barrier that hindered the young lady from determining what a question was and a request. I asked what kind of pasta salad she says okay pasta salad for you what else. I ordered an Everything toasted bagel, scallion cream cheese, and lox. It came with a pasta salad and little bitty, eenie weenie side salad. The bagel taste very fresh, the scallion cream cheese tasted like regular creme cheese, and the lox hit a Grand Slam. Whoa! The taste was savory, like melt in your mouth. I wish it was a sandwich that really took long to eat because I could not get enough of that taste. (OMG I'm salivating) I had plenty of omega 3 healthy fats this morning, see the pics. The salads were something to write home about. All of this for $16.46 with an added on coffee for $1 plus a refill, WHAT A BARGAIN! I've seen it all here, the ambiance is casual, but people come as they are, be it works attire early A.M. and Dressed for the commuters into Larchmont. Not many locals come in Dressed attire, they're to busy running for the Metro North train- redline, into Manhattan! Of course there is room for improvements: having a cleaner dining area for those like myself that didn't want to eat and drive. Better yet. Have someone monitor the dining area because it really doesn't make sense for it to be that messy! And I can't say much about who they hire but comprehension and analytical skills need improvement. Lastly, the coffee is in a container so it's not hot, hot. Like THAT hot, it's almost hot. Okay? Belly full, refilled coffee to go. Next stop, get air in my tire and off to Queens. Having lived in the northwest corner of CT for the last 10 years, my desperation for bagels has skewed my thoughts on Village Square. Everything was fine. Did no harm. But nothing but my nostalgia made me happy to be there. Bagel had a good mouth feel, but toppings on my everything bagel didn't taste like much and they were sparse. My scallion cream cheese was perhaps packed in the same room as a scallion, but I couldn't find one in the mix and didn't taste like much. Atmosphere was everything I was looking for. Simple deli. Ample coffee. Good folks in and out. Service was fine. Didn't add or detract. If in the area for more than a day, find better. I'm sure they're out there. If visiting like me, it scratched the itch. *for fun I tried some shrimp salad too. Not even any salt or pepper. Everything is fresh and fine. Just really really bland. Ps - huge disappointment that they didn't have Taylor Ham and one counter worker didn't know what it was.

I've started shopping here in 2002 so I've had a pretty good feel of the foods they serve and what kind of service is provide f here. Very high quality food and a very high standards of customer service. People come dressed as they are , casual, work attire, or street attire. I am not saying that there aren't but I have not seen a brown person come in here. If they do it's not often. I normally buy the white fish sandwich, it spreads like a tuna fish sandwich. They also serve delicious hot foods, gourmet foods and various salads. Off and on as any business expects, workers come and go. I've always had pleasant interactions with the employees and satisfactory service up until 4/4/2026. Twenty Four years of exemplary service, says a lot about any organization that has high standards. I go in to get food from the deli section. A lady with a Spanish background says " how may I help you. I told her that I wanted a half pound of gigante Beans and a half pound of shrimp. She scoops up the gigante beans with no problem, now she goes for everything that I didn't ask for. I saw her scooping up three bean salad. Whoa whoa, I want shrimp she says you don't want this? I repeated , I want shrimps! She scoops up shrimp salad, me again! No, I want shrimp. She puts the shrimp salad back and starts fussing and making a scene talking in Spanish and the co worker is practically glued to her side. That's how close they were. I guess she didn't know what s h r I m p was. But I guess he helped her, I didn't understand She finally gives me shrimp but it's pouring over the container and she has to squish it down with the lid. I have to say, I'm not trying to offend anyone here, it's just what happened. Talking about no analytical skills or the ability to comprehend what I'm telling you. It's like going to McDonald's and asking for a sausage biscuit and they ask you do you want sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Nonsense! So she rings it up on the scale and tags it as smoked salmon and charges half of $29.99. I returned to the store, looked for the price, and asked the cashier what did the deli clerk sell me. He asked, who help me, and I said well since you asked. I felt like a snitcher, I let all of the beans out the bag, sir she did this, that, and ain't it is. (Southern vernacular). The cashier refunded $1.50 and apologized profusely. In all the years I've been buying here, I have never dealt with any employee that felt so complacent with repeatedly getting an order wrong and have the audacity to complain, for the lack of her ability to understand. I will say, I'll go back again and again because the food is really good and they have vegan options, I just won't go to her and if she's the only one I see, I'll ask for someone else to help me or I'll skip it for that day! But it won't phase me, I'll still... Inspire more, Yelp more!
