The tables vary greatly in size and location on the floor, catering to a broad range of clientele- families, friends and couples all can find a suitable spot. I've been visiting this restaurant since 2002. The food is phenomenal, the service is great and the staff members are very pleasant and kind. I've seen this business expand to accommodate more customers. It seems like the expansion was not enough because it gets over crowded, it seems. This is as good place for a business breakfast if you get there early. Get there early for lunch if you want to dine in. In the summer they do have out door seating since Covid and that was a plus. Even though Stan'z isn't in my backyard, I found myself there fairly regularly in my early Yelping days since my brother went to school in the area. After a few tries though I stopped going - not due to anything the restaurant did, I just stopped coming to the area. Anyway, I was having my car serviced close by and since I had not had breakfast yet I thought Stan'z was the perfect place to grab some breakfast while waiting for my car. Stan'z is located on one of the main commercial strips of Larchmont. The restaurant kinda works like a quick service where you place your order at the counter before sitting, and then your food is served to you. The space looks great - high ceilings, a contemporary/urban aesthetic, and plenty of seating. The large windows out front let a lot of light in, and during the warm weather they have the option to sit outdoors. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy - something to note if you're coming on a weekend (the earlier the better). Stan'z is mostly a breakfast and lunch spot, and they have a good selection on interesting an innovative dishes without them being intimidating. They also have a good selection of coffee and some baked goods. During my most recent visit I had one of their sandwiches: egg, bacon, gorgonzola, and arugula on toast. The sandwich was good - fresh ingredients and everything complemented each other. The dish also came with a side of home fries which were just fine (it's hard to wow with home fries, IMO). Service was good, everyone was friendly and food came out quickly. I came once when the espresso machine wasn't working, and that was sad. But I was glad the self-serve coffee was solid and had three flavor options. There's a Bellini option for drinks, but I didn't notice any other alcohol options. Quite loud. It was my first time here. We weren't sure what to do and nobody said anything. We didn't know you didn't get seated by a hostess. There was a small sign that we didn't see giving directions on what to do. Apparently, you need to pick up a menu and figure out what you want go to the cashier and pay for it then they give you a number and you find a seat. It was very packed so this was harder to do. It was also extremely loud in there because you share long tables with other guests. We finally found a seat but then had to find someone to come over and clean the table and remove dishes and garbage off of it. He only cleaned part of the table and left! My Food arrived it was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my chicken salad platter with the walnuts and cranberries and delicious salad dressing. The shrimp and grits were ok, a little disappointing and a smaller portion. My friend was still hungry after she ate them. I started working in Mamaroneck 3 years ago and up until this year I hadn't gone to Stanz. I don't know why no one had told me sooner about this place! The sandwich's are like your typical Italian deli sandwich but with a modern twist. There is all different kinds of breads to choose from. I still have yet to try their breakfast but I hear they have the best bacon egg and cheese. That is next on my list! They also have yummy looking salads. Stanz is always bustling, and it's no wonder why. The line was out the door the day we went, but their policy of ordering before sitting allows for ample seats. Maybe it's just the time I came (lunch on a Saturday), but I was getting flashbacks to my old middle school cafeteria. As for the food, it was OK. My main complaint is that everything tasted greasy, which made me feel a little queasy. Also the bread was considerably stale. There's public parking in the back but unless you get there early--you might have to take a chance with street parking OR the two hour parking near CVS. Stan's is a small, casual spot. I also noticed they had a cookie butter latte which I'm going to have to try next time! You order breakfast or lunch at the front--then they bring your food out to you! I ordered a Turkey and Mango sandwich which was definitely flavorful with the seasoning they added to it though it ended up feeling a little bit dry after a couple bites, maybe due to the lack of a spread. The line was out the door and not moving too quickly, but that gave me time to review the whole menu. I'm sure if it were just a bit longer I wouldn't have stayed and waited. Customer service was pretty good with food coming out in a only slightly long amount of time (due to being busy) and it was easy to find where water, coffee and other help-yourself items. read more

Cute spot, nice decor, and quite spacious. Ambiance was nice. Food...was less than. I ordered a sandwich: Maple Turkey, goat cheese, sliced apple, & honey Dijon mustard. Told guy at the counter who took my order I would like it on focaccia bread. Didn't have to wait too long for the food, however when I got it, it was on a baguette. No problem, I informed the server the error and was brought a new sandwich. The focaccia did not look like focaccia at all. Not seasoned at all, just bland doughy white bread that had too much flour on it and made my hands cakey. The maple Turkey I could tell was not maple. Just regular Turkey. They only put honey Dijon on one side of the bread so the whole thing was ill proportioned and dry. The goat cheese was nice, but a bit much for a mouthful sometimes. I couldn't finish the sandwich. I came with my family and they ate the rest of the pieces. I'd come back once more to give something else a try, but this was less than impressive. read more

Update: Stanz expanded their outdoor seating. As usual great coffee and refill as much as you want by yourself. Hardworking staff that they deserve tips so management should have a big tip jars next to their cash register or coffee bar otherwise patrons will forget. Still not happy with their bacon and pancake ( ok with my hubby this time ). I find their pancake dry. Nevertheless they still get a five star for us who are not in a hurry for food because of our usual favorites. Parking wasn't easier as before. read more
