    Roasted Chixken Salad Toast

Tried Toastique for the first time. The store is well lit and clean. Then menu has options for gourmet toast, juices, coffee, and bowls- an overall healthy selection. They also offer classic cocktails. I decided to get the season special - roasted chicken salad toast on gluten free bread. The wait wasn't too long as it gave me extra time to review the menu. The toast itself was a good portion and very filling. It was fresh and tasty, the bread even stayed in tact as GF Bread sometimes falls apart. I really enjoyed the toast and will try a bowl next.

Walked in looking for a place to just grab something to drink, asked the silly "are you open question" while standing inside. (lol I've walked into places that say open, but ask for like 10 more minutes before they're ready). Anyway, the menu behind the counter was well designed and clear & concise. There were pictures (actually accurate to how my order came out). I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk & salmon toast to go. Took about maybe ten mins - didn't mind the wait, seating was abundant- music was great, I believe Danny helped me placed my order & I'm not sure of the person who brought me the matcha, but he had braids & was very nice!

Was in the mood for a fresh smoothie/juice and stopped here for brunch. Was also intrigued from seeing "gourmet toast" so went to see what that was about. This place was so clean, employees were professional, and the options were endless. Ordered the avocado smash toast which was absolutely delish and a Ginger Berry smoothie. Smoothie had a great flavor and was refreshing. Definitely will revisit to test other menu options. Highly recommend!

Toastique has so many great toast options. I've had the smoked salmon toast and the crab toast--both are excellent for different reasons. They also make a mean dirty vanilla chai.

    Protein waffle & Greek toast

My husband and I have been looking for a new spot ever since our favorite coffee shop closed, and I think we finally found it. After the first sip of my cappuccino, I knew I'd be a regular. And an added bonus - the food is excellent! The toast and protein waffle were a 10/10. I'm excited to try more from their menu.

Unfortunately, the temperature was terrible. Although their AC unit showed 65 on it, it felt more like 90 degrees! I came with 3 other colleagues for brunch and we ordered a variety of items. We started with the Mediterranean Platter which had toasted pita bread with 3 spreads. The baba ganoush and spicy feta were delicious but the hummus with pickled onions fell short. Hummus was plain and the pickled onions were too sweet. Main dishes ordered were: Pelican Brief Burger: good solid burger but I ordered it medium and received well done which was disappointing. Fries were good but nothing spectacular. Filet (Oh) Fish: good nothing special The Pelican Platter: The presentation was impressive was the taste and texture was subpar. The texture was more dense than I would like and it crumbled like a cornbread. The size is huge and thick but unfortunately, I wouldn't order this again. The Pelican Platter: We sub the French Toast for the pancake. The French Toast was a better choice. Tasted good and the texture was nice. Both platters came with a small side of fresh strawberry, maple syrup, whipped cream, and strawberry jam. You also get two eggs, bacons, and tater tots. Although the menu says old bay tater tots, it came plain. However, it was perfectly fried and crunchy so I didn't mind not having the old bay seasoning. Drinks: Strawberry Matcha, Jasmine iced tea and houjicha. All the drinks were okay and none of them stood out. Overall, I am glad I tried it out but I would give it a 3.5/5.

Our server asked how "done" we wanted our burger and salmon ("medium") but when the salmon arrived it was very rare. This has happened before here -- it took a long time for my properly cooked fish to arrive, and everyone else at our table had finished their meals. Fortunately, that didn't happen tonight, and my properly cooked fish arrived fairly fast. When a restaurant knows how to execute a fine dining experience, the guest is able to enjoy their time and their company. When it doesn't (when the staff looks and acts scared, doesn't bring water when it is requested, doesn't pay proper attention to its guests, doesn't bring properly cooked food...), the experience is tense and unenjoyable. That unfortunately was the case for us tonight. Also, the music played used to be so much more enjoyable. Lately it sounds gyrating and annoying.

Nestled in the quaint and friendly town of Bronxville lies Slave To The Grind, a coffee shop that…read moreis nowhere near as pretentious as it's neighboring shops and customer service focused beyond belief. The shop is small and regularly has a line (which some might tend to get annoyed about but...) -it's because the coffee is THAT good. The cafe has a few tables in the front area, a few more in the back of the shop and some quality bar seating throughout making it a place to chill with friends or do some homework/meetings on your remote days. The quality of the coffee at Slave has never let me down, from buying beans by the pound from an abundant variety to the fresh brews that also have quite an impressive variety each day, the place is tailored to coffee addicts. Similar to the "other" coffee shops, these baristas can make your very specific coffee drink and it will be right on and delicious. They know their coffee at Slave To The Grind. If you get the chance, try some of their incredible pastry selection, especially the scones. You will never leave disappointed after consuming one of those British belly bombs, designed perfectly to be consumed with a hot cup O' Joe, served with a smile. Some folks have rated Slave below 5 stars but, that is likely because they are cranky, wannabe-coffee-aficionados who believe all coffee shops cannot turn over their inventory without having to provide "sell by" dates and paint pretty pictures all over the bean dispensers so they are entertained. They probably judge books by their covers and walk their cats around on leashes too... You be the judge! Try it and you'll see exactly how wrong they are to give Slave To The Grind anything but 5 stars. Delicious coffee, great service, warm atmosphere and solid eats to top it all off. Don't listen to the noise - listen to your own review. You'll love it a latte! I promise.

The staff is welcoming and attentive, the space looks like it is always buzzing, and really gives you the feel of this is THE coffee shop in town. Where it falls short is in the cup. The coffee itself lacked freshness and the walls were lined with coffee beans that looked as if they had been sitting there for years with no clear dates to validate their freshness. There's plenty of choice on paper, but without roast dates or origin details, it's hard to know what you're getting--and the flavor reflects that. The brew came off dull, smoky, and overworked rather than expressive or balanced considering the advertised flavors and the price point. If you're looking for a comfortable place to sit, catch up with a friend, or soak in a classic small-town café vibe, this place delivers. But if great coffee is the goal, I'd head elsewhere. Enjoy the atmosphere--but temper your expectations when it comes to what's in the cup.
