Place has ok bagel but took a while to get a bagel and cream cheese on. Service and communication was weak. I don't need this for my morning

A great local corner bagel shop here. It's a small shop but they have all what need. Honest and generous amount of cream cheese and butter in the crispy bagels and coffee was good. I don't like Starbucks's over roasted coffee though. And still their price wasn't such an infrared like in the city. A friendly owner give me great and quick service. Top rated deli in these parts of Pelham, NY border with New Rochelle. I ordered the Bronx bomber which is the Flavored grilled chicken breast with fresh mozzarella and broccoli rabe, (Italian Style broccoli) MINUS the olives on a panini. It came out piping hot! Sandwich was delish! Also ordered an egg bagel with Lox, onions, & scallion flavored cream cheese. It was good. But I've tasted better and smokier lox. Have a try at this local Pelham eatery. Some of the best breakfast sandwiches in Pelham. My go to is a bacon egg and cheese with salt and pepper on a bagel or roll. Oh, their bagels. Fresh they are. Yes you'll often find some older regulars sitting out front, but that's what gives it that family feeling. read more

This is my second time here...both times we had delicious eggplant paninis with broccoli rabe. But more than that, the staff are all so friendly and warm. The first time it was the owner (I assume), the second time an employee who was just as attentive (helping an elderly man to his seat). There's something to be said for great service! read more

Huge bagels, a lot of variety - rolls, pastries, sandwiches, fresh-baked muffins, coffee. Prices are super reasonable (which is rare for Pelham), and the customer service was excellent. The food is great, but you have to get through a cloud of COVID at the front door. There is a regular crew that usually hangs inside, but now the group is blocking the entrance and they do not wear masks or practice safe distancing. They're literally there all hours that the place is open & seem to have free reign of the place (a couple came inside without masks and wandered around behind the counter without a mask where there was food being prepared). The regular employees are really great & the food is good, but it's not worth catching coronavirus for. read more

I love the small town vibe here. We went for sandwiches on the day we moved in and I felt like I was on the Gilmore Girls set. The sandwiches are decent but I can't give a deli sandwich 5 stars. Wonderful! First things first, the amount of Italian spirit from everyone in here is fantastic and makes me feel like I'm eating a meal with my extended family. We walked in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and after ordering were able to snag the two high top seats by the window. I had an awesome French toast muffin with hazelnut coffee- YUM!- and Brian had an everything bagel. When we went up to pay after eating, we got into a discussion with the owner about the muffins, many of which were homemade. The French toast I got was not but he was praising how good he thought it was and wishing it was one he was able to make. Such a friendly man! Next time, I'm definitely trying one of his homemade pistachio muffins which looked so good! read more

I don't even live in pelham and I go there for this cafe. The roast beef is amazing. They have great bagels and everything I have tried there has been really good. I've never been disappointed But the thing that really stands out is the service. Everyone in there is so pleasant and friendly. They really make you feel at home. Can't say enough about the Renaissance Cafe. Excellent food prepared with fresh ingredients. Prompt courteous service always with a smile or a joke. Need a delivery no problem. While being laid up from surgery I had food delivered always came hot and didn't need reheating. The only thing missing is a fireplace and a cracker-barrel with a checkerboard. This is one of the better delicatessens I have had the pleasure to frequent. Renaissance Bagel Cafe brings back the old fashioned mom and pop cafe that has been lost to this world. The owner prides himself on good service. The food is simple, but tasty and freshly, but quickly prepared. The people who work there are friendly and accommodating, knowing many of their customers by name. If you decide to eat in the store, they'll invite you to sit down while they prepare the food and will then bring it over to you. I have never had a bad sandwich, or bad experience there. Had a late lunch here. We had the pastrami sandwich featuring boar head meats. I had the 5th ave chicken sandwich. It was good. I had their chicken & rice soup and it was homemade and delicious. This place is just too awesome for words but I'll attempt it. I have been going here for years. They welcome everybody. This establishment has a feeling like you are eating with family in the living room or the backyard on a warm day. They know me by face and what I usually order. As we speak in think about calling in an order for a Reuben sandwich. The only downside if you can even call it that is they get absolutely swamped on Sunday mornings. This just a rating of the Fries, it is just grease, I couldn't eat it, it was drinking a bottle of oil, I should have taken a pic before I threw it out, but was so discussed I threw it away right away, maybe I got the last bits that were left in the fryer cause the pieces were very small and broken like what you would get left at the bottom of the fryer, if it was this is even worse cause you don't even feed those to dogs! read more
