Definitely a hidden gem with great spanish and American food. Doesn't look like a place where you can order some delicious tacos of empanadas but their the best at it. They have selections of heroes that you can order,my favorite is the remi special. They have a good selection of hot food for lunch. The parking is plentiful on the street and the location is very clean. The staff are all family so they are all attentive and polite. Went to this place on a recommendation that I could get a great, fat, bacon egg and cheese just like I can get in the Bronx. Welp, I got the same diet sized bacon egg and cheese I am familiar with in Westchester. Disappointed. I feel sorry for Westchester residents who have this to be the norm. I cannot attest to any of the other food there, only the travesty that was my sandwich. Classic local sandwich shop. Looks straight out of the Bronx but the pricing and portions scream Westchester. Hot food is pretty decent, breakfast sandwiches are disappointing, but the chicken "Remi's Special" and other lunch sandwiches are worth the stop. The staff tends to be incredibly kind as well, but there are weird exceptions to this rule. Once in a while you'll have a staff member decide to charge you a bit more than usual for a sandwich, seemingly just because! I love the breakfast here. I used to work a few blocks away and our whole office would order our breakfast sandwiches from this spot. What's nice is they do local delivery because there is no parking at all. It is located on a really busy street right near two highway ramps so it is almost impossible to find a spot. The breakfast sandwiches are so good though so I still come by whenever I can even though I work remotely now. I also love a deli that will accommodate a unique sandwich request- not that this is super far fetched but I always ask for a Sausage Egg and Cheese with a hashbrown and it is SO good. I love a deli that has a hashbrown on the menu because it added onto a kaiser roll breakfast sandwich is like no other!! They also have a nice selection of drinks, chips, etc. It is a typical deli but something about it is very comforting to me, maybe because it was a weekday regular spot but it will always have a close place in my heart. I love Remi's.Yes, it is a little hole in the wall, but looks are certainly deceiving. As Mary Mentioned, the service is always friendly. The sandwiches are outstanding, particularly the Goodfella. Their chicken cutlet is probably the best I've ever had, and the proportions are hefty. Next door to the deli is Remi's Pizza, I've honestly never had the pizza, but the tacos (YES! When the lunch bell rings and your stomach is growling then that means feed me! Not much time to head out for lunch so I jumped on the office take out order for some subs from Remi's Place. It was a 50/50 review from the office staff on should we place the order or go for the #2 suggestion?? Well since I was just a visitor for the day I went with the majority and we ordered from Remi's. I opted for the fries and a grilled chicken sub. Food arrived and I looked at the fries...soggy and not cooked...maybe you just can't order fries for take out or maybe the fried food goods were telling me to not eat greasy today. So in the garbage they went. Now to the sub, chicken was over cooked and a bit rubber tasting. Ate half and then in the trash on top of the fries. Frozen chicken cutlets. Rotten tomatoes. Stale lettuce. And cheap with the basil. Let alone they don't have any hair net or gloves - a ten dollar sandwich gets you a healthier - fresher sandwich at the Pelham gourmet. With a beverage. I stopped going to this place years ago and knowing the area better I now only go to the gourmet. Same price if not cheaper with a water or something. By far the best decision I ever made. Also, another thing that made me stop going there was that the prices were different every time I would get good fella or an arod, depending on the person behind the counter the prices varied, they would leave a huge tip jar right next to the counter and always, food was never an even dollar. The food they have has been on display for a week straight nearly, they stir it up when the top gets hard on the Mac and cheese or potato salad.
