I said to myself, Marc....it's always Candlelight Inn or Rudy's and, on a day when I want to take a walk on the wild side.........Buffalo Wild Wings. Today I wanted to try something different. Rewarded for my So I see this icon and named Wings, Inc.....sounds industrial and like a solid wing place....right? Like Monsters, Inc. They were soggy, tasteless, regrettable-to-eat and barely consumable wings. They were gross in appearance and bad in taste. My stomach hurts, I'm bloated and it's going to be long night tonight nursing my stomach, dispirited mood and culinary angst. So, you're asking yourself--can't be, no way... a wing restaurant couldn't possibly...... I googled the name--nada. Yelped the name-- zilch. Now I was punching-air-angry -- did someone whip these up in their garage? Stomping mad-- I googled the address 645 Saw Mill River Rd, Ardsley, NY 10502. It's a canard, it's a ruse, it's no Wing Restaurant. It's not even a restaurant. It's a grocery store. A market, if you will. Take a look at the front of the store with shopping carts in the pictures. Fake-wing-place. Now, I don't want to be besmirch the food just because of the Fugazi uber listing...but.....the wings were revolting, methane-build-up-producing gross. Given the fact that they listed a cornerstone market as a restaurant and perpetuated a canard, and because the food was terrible--- a gracious one star.

Viva Ranch Fruit Market. How affordable are they? Very affordable…read more My local grocers and fruit stands produce can range anywhere from $1.99/lb - $4.99/lb. And the lower price range can only be found on the occasional sale day. Whereas, Viva's prices are on regular rotation ranging from .79c/lb -$1.99/lb. How are they able to maintain these lower prices? Supply and demand? Better wholesale distributor? Location? They're located in Westchester and less than half a mile or so from Shop Rite and Stop Shop, and the quality to me seems on par with the larger chains. Hey, but what do I know? One thing I do know, these affordable prices are being trickled down to the consumer for a change and that's more than appreciated. Viva Ranch carries all your favorite veggies and fruits, even stuff you didn't even think you needed. Plus, there's also a friendly butchers corner towards the back of the store. Showing my patronage whenever I can helps Viva turn their products over and on the other hand saves me a few dollars. And who doesn't value saving a few $'s? Tip: Easy metered street parking available using the ParkMobile app.

Here's everything I picked up today: 2 extra large cucumbers, a 2 lb bag of yellow onions & red onions, a pint of cherry tomatoes, fresh peeled garlic (a small container), 3 extra large heads of lettuce, 5 plums & 2 containers of very large strawberries & a package of soup greens which includes all that is needed for chicken soup which I'll be making this week (radishes, parsley, carrots, parsnips etc) guess my total... $20.01. 20 bucks and I'm set for the whole week.. if I bought all of that at stop and shop or shoprite, I would have gotten less for more money. The quality of their products are amazing too and the staff is super friendly. The store itself can get a bit crowded & parking is not the best but I don't mind since the prices are so great. They have another location which is much larger and has a lot more to offer but if you're looking for just produce and some meat, this spot is perfect!

On days I don't bring lunch to work, I get an eggplant sandwich with lettuce/tomatoes or go for the eggplant on mixed greens with other veggies- that are both winners for me.
