Having never been here before, upon walking in I found the store to be seemingly semi-filled with "regulars" --- a GOOD thing! Only went in for a "quick stop" of coffee. Surprisingly, the coffee isn't self serve and you can only hope that how THEY prepare it would be how YOU would! The worker at the register appeared unfriendly. I could barely hear him as his back was turned when telling me the answer to the price of the small cup. $2.16 SMALL COFFEE. Nothing to go out of your way for in my book as McDs coffee which is MUCH better in taste and value is just across the lot! All he kept telling me was "I need quarters". Poor customer interaction. I've been going to Rammis for many years and it's always a Hit or Miss. Bagel wise they have the best bagels in town, but actually preparing the sandwich it will either be the best thing in the world or you'll say "why did i pay $8 for this". I frequently get bagel cream cheese and lox and I either get a nice few pieces of lox or I get ONE thin slice and pay $8 for it. If I'm paying a leg and a half I expect at least two big slices to cover both sides of the bagel. But other than that bagels are always amazing, cream cheeses are always amazing and fresh. read more

Lived in NY for 20 years but now I live in Alabama. I say that to clarify that I know about bagels. I have even made my own. We were visiting family and looking for a place to get bagels. I'll say these bagels were great. I go to a bagel store to get bagels. I don't care about their chicken cutlets or other food but I appreciate that they offer a lot of variety. I will say the service was fast but my wife said "no one was smiling". They were super busy and I appreciated that they were getting people out fast. Plus it's NY, I expect people to be rude. I must say the service as the food was absolutely incomparable. I felt as comfortable as family once I walked in, just to be amazed by the variety of selection they had in food and beverages. There was a short line in which I waited less than 5 minutes because everyone was attended very quickly, to then be greeted so politely. I believe the woman in the front was Victoria, she had excellent customer service and even recommended the chicken bacon cheddar sandwich! Which was generously prepared! Yeah I ordered from this place on doordash and I got the Sobo sandwich which is supposed to come with sausage egg cheese and a hash brown. Literally only had cheese and egg on it. I go to Rammi's at least 5 times week and I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything that any of these people with the negative reviews have experienced. The Bagels are always fresh and of the highest quality and they are significantly larger than any other bagels that are sold nearby. I have never had a bad experience with any of the service or food I have purchased. The service is always quick, professional and friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. The Juice and smoothie bar is also excellent. I don't know how they make a profit on any of their juices or smoothies because the ingredients that they put into their drinks alone is more than what they charge. You would pay double for these drinks in New York City. Don't believe the negative reviews, This place is excellent and deserves 5 stars! read more

I go with my friends to Rammi's all the time. We decided to go and my friend gets a rainbow bagel, as we're waiting and they cut the bagel it falls. My friends and I wait to see what he's going to do with it and he picks it up and puts it back on the counter. I bring it up to his attention in front of everyone and he gets upset and tells me yeah 'I'm getting another one'- why did you put it back on the counter? After moving from Rockland, an area that had several top-notch bagel places, I was really disappointed at some of the more popular bagel establishments in the area.
