It's been a year now and I'm still happy with my everyone is friendly, and does amazing work. I enjoy the music and highly recommend that you check out Lena's Nails. They get pretty busy so appointments are always best! My Valentine's Day nails were done by Jeny and she is awesome! Any design she has done for me has been spot on!

I'm newer to fair oaks and I have found my go to salon finally. They periodically check in to make sure you like the how your nails are looking throughout the process (shape and color). My nails always last three plus weeks. Staff are very friendly and kind. They ask if you'd like a water or anything in particular you'd like to watch. Super clean salon and you simply can't complain about their pricing! The perfect salon

Paul completely killed it with these nails. He does such an amazing job. Took over an hour and a half for this set but totally worth it. He works so hard and always does an amazing job with the design! Reasonably priced and close to my house I'll keep coming back!

My nails 24 hours after a manicure. My cuticles look like they weren't touched.

Since the new employees and upgrade with the inside, the service hasn't been the same for me personally. We booked an appointment for 4, 3 pedicures and 1 full set. We were celebrating a birthday. 1 person did not get their pedicure because it was 40 minutes past our appointment time and no one was close to being finished to begin. The one getting a full set didn't begin until 40 minutes past our appointment time. When I asked when they would be getting serviced, the lady responded "we are busy." So what is the point of making an appointment? I came with bare nails as I haven't had a pedicure in a few months. My toe nails became very thin due to wearing gel polish for years, so I took a break. The lady suggested multiple times that I get gel polish because it's so "pretty" and lasts longer, even after I mentioned what gel polish did to my nails. The lady clipped my toe nails too short and did not square my nails. Both of my big toes are not even. The "massage" I received was more so rubbing in lotion. There was no pressure and I kid you not, lasted 2 minutes. Lastly, I do have cracked heels. However, I was left with wax covering the bottom of my heels. She did not bother to wipe it off. There was no towel for me to use.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I've been thinking about this experience for a while…read moreand felt it was important to share. I visited on March 13 as a walk-in. First, I want to say the ambience of the salon is beautiful. It's quiet, relaxing, organized, and I felt welcomed when I walked in. However, my experience during the service was concerning. I was initially helped by a male technician whose name I didn't catch. Before starting, he was scraping the table with what looked like a blade tool rather than properly sanitizing it, and he did not wash his hands afterward. His hands also appeared to have some kind of dye or residue on them. As someone with a background in cosmetology, this stood out to me. I had a previous builder gel set with only small remnants left. Instead of soaking or properly filing it down, he used an acrylic tip to pry the remaining product off. This was painful and can be damaging to the nail bed. I would have had no issue waiting for a proper soak-off, so I'm not sure why that method was used. I was then switched to a female technician who completed my service. She was kind and had great customer service, and I appreciated her efforts to be gentle after I told her my nail beds were sensitive. Unfortunately, the cuticle work resulted in multiple cuts. Six out of my ten fingers were cut and bleeding. At a certain point during the service, I found myself constantly looking at the clock and paying attention to where I was in the process because I was in so much pain and just wanted to get out of the chair. That is not something I've ever experienced before when getting my nails done. After leaving, my hands were in significant pain for several days. Even basic tasks like driving, typing, or doing dishes were uncomfortable. I ultimately had to see a doctor due to irritation around my cuticles and was given antibacterial ointment. This is the first time I have ever had to seek medical care after a manicure or pedicure, which was very concerning to me. Now, even after healing, I can still see the scarring And marks around my cuticles from the cuts. I usually receive a lot of compliments on my nails, even when I get something simple, but now when I look at my nails all I can see are the scabs and scarring from the cuts. it honestly makes me not want to show my nails at all, which is disappointing because i'm getting my nails done is something I truly enjoy. In terms of the final result, I did like the shape initially, although the edges were very sharp. However, within a few hours, I noticed issues with the quality. There was product chipping from underneath the acrylic, almost like excess polish left under the nail, and the acrylic itself began to chip as well. The polish also appeared uneven on some nails. Another note for first-time clients: there is no visible pricing board, but pamphlets are available near the front, so I recommend grabbing one to review pricing beforehand. I paid about $65 for the set and tipped 20% because I understand industry standards and the technician was kind. However, the overall experience felt rushed and transactional, and being passed between technicians was not something I enjoyed. I also noticed a difference in how the male technician interacted with another client who came in after me. He was much more engaged and conversational with her, which made my experience feel less welcoming in comparison. This experience ultimately solidified my decision to return to my private nail technician, even though they are over three hours away. I would rather pay more and travel farther for quality work and a safe experience than risk going through this again, especially after needing medical attention. I recently moved to Sacramento and have been trying different salons, but this experience unfortunately left a lasting impression. I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years and have a background in cosmetology, and I've never experienced this level of pain or injury during a service. I really wanted to support this small local business, but due to the pain, nail damage, and overall experience, I would not return.

I was told to sit and wait, with no explanation or estimated wait time. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked how much longer and was told 10-15 minutes. After that time passed, I was told "maybe another 10 minutes." I ended up waiting almost 45 minutes and left without being serviced. If a salon accepts appointments, they should respect them or clearly communicate delays. This was poor customer service and a waste of my time. I won't be back.

After trying a new place each month, I think the search is officially over (yay!) I called Utopia Nails on a Saturday morning to see if they could squeeze in two pedicures for the same day. Lucky for us, they had availability at noon. The shop is tucked in the back corner of a semibusy shopping center, but parking was no problem, and the exterior looked real nice. Walking in, the space felt open, clean, and inviting. It's well decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere. Nail stations are set up in the front, and there's a spacious pedicure area toward the back with plenty of seating. The massage chairs were comfy, but honestly, the experience was what really won me over. Mi (sorry if spelling is wrong) was the nail tech who did my pedicure, and she was incredible. Sweet, professional, and clearly skilled. She gave me one of the best massages I've ever had at a salon, took care of an annoying ingrown toenail, and left my toes looking flawless. We chose the Signature Pedicure and it was absolutely worth every penny. Warm stone massage, wax bath, full treatment. it felt luxe from start to finish. Easily the best pedicure I've had, and my friend felt the same. We've officially found our go to spot. No more hopping around. Thank you, Utopia Nails & Spa, for an amazing experience... see you next month!
