My pedicure was done by KY (or Kai--sorry if I spelled it wrong!), and he was incredible as well. They really took their time and made sure we were comfortable and cared for. I needed acrylic on my big toes, and it came out flawless. Every toe was shaped perfectly, and the scrub was done with so much care. For my builder gel set on my natural nails, DD did an amazing job. I specifically told him I did not want them cut short and only wanted them evened out. I had spent 1 month growing my natural nails out. When I noticed he was cutting them much short, I told him to stop, but he insisted he knew what he was doing and continued. After washing my hands and coming back, I could clearly see my nails were much shorter and out of shape. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I expressed my concerns, instead of listening, he argued with me and kept saying they weren't short.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The woman with the tattoo came over and repeatedly interrupted me. She kept insisting they could add acrylic, powder, or tips to make them longer, but I explained multiple times that I wanted my own natural nails and did not want fake nails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What bothered me most was that neither of them listened to what I was saying. 1 star This was my third time going to Nice Nail Salon, and it will definitely be my last. This facility is also racist and you can feel it. I came in for a pedicure and manicure with an ombré design. [[HIGHLIGHT]]During my pedicure, I asked for a butterfly on my big toe. The technician doing my toes didn't know how to do it, so she asked another nail technician for help. Instead of responding professionally, that technician smacked her lips, rolled her eyes, and made an obvious irritated face.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, that same technician ended up doing my manicure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She asked me what colors I wanted, and I explained that the previous technician had already put the polishes away, so I didn't know the color numbers. I even said, "I know it won't look exactly like the picture, but can you help me find colors that are close?" Instead of helping, she pulled out colors that didn't match either my inspiration picture or my pedicure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if she could bring the other technician back over so we could find the original colors and make my hands match my feet. She said one of the glitter colors wouldn't work with the ombré, which I completely understood. That wasn't the issue. The issue was that she never offered me a color book or swatches to choose another color. She kept insisting on using the colors she picked[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. When I explained that an ombré requires additional colors to blend properly, she became visibly frustrated. She crossed her arms, made irritated facial expressions, and acted like I was inconveniencing her for wanting the design I came in asking for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another employee walked over and asked her what was wrong in their language, and she began talking about the colors while still looking upset. When I looked up, she was still standing there with her arms crossed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At that point, I felt so uncomfortable that I called my boyfriend to come pick me up because I no longer wanted her doing my nails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The gentleman at the front noticed something was wrong, asked me what happened, and offered to finish my nails himself. While I appreciated the offer, the experience had already been ruined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left before my nails were completed. To make matters worse, I was still charged $90 for an incomplete service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've never written a review like this before, but people deserve to know how customers are treated here. To my surprise, she replied that she did not have an appointment with me at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was not the first time scheduling issues had occurred. Earlier this year, she canceled an appointment because she had the flu, which I completely understood. However, instead of fitting me back into her schedule, I had to wait for the next available opening, which was over a month away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the second scheduling issue, I politely explained that I wasn't trying to be rude, but that this situation was unfair. I had been patient and accommodating, but I really needed her to follow through on the appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She remained unresponsive for hours, even after the scheduled appointment time had passed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] An hour and a half later, I sent a message expressing how disappointed I was with how the situation was being handled and that I felt it was unprofessional to waste a client's time. Her response was shocking. She told me she did not need to be professional and that her clients did not expect professionalism from her. Her messages came across as sarcastic and dismissive, and rather than taking accountability for the scheduling errors, she decided we were no longer a good fit because I had called attention to them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What makes this even worse is that this happened right before a wedding, leaving me scrambling to find someone else at the last minute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Her response was essentially that "they're just nails" and that she doesn't take it that seriously. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone makes mistakes, and I would have been understanding if there had been accountability and respectful communication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, after multiple cancellations, poor scheduling, lack of responsiveness, and a dismissive attitude toward clients' time, I can no longer recommend her services. If reliability, organization, and professionalism are important to you, I would look elsewhere. They also overcharge you and make you pay $90 for nails that are NOT $90 worth that fall off within a week or less. Gotten my NAILS done here a few times and loved the outcome everytime, but their pedicures? They're alright, but this is the 2nd gel pedicure I've gotten from here where not even 5 days in the polish is peeling from my toenails, wasn't sure if it was just me, so I brought my mom with me while she was visiting from out of town. I haven't seen her for a while, and it completely slipped my mind any time I talked to her, but she also said the same thing, after 3 days she had to go get the polish removed because 4 of her nails had peeled, $140 for 2 pedicures and they didn't even last 1 week!
