I am growing my natural nails and she was extremely rough. I asked if she had something else to do because she was slapping the polish on so fast. They began chipping the following day. I needed a pedicure for an upcoming wedding and decided to try this new spot down the street since it's so close. I noticed they had a sign advertising $5 off services of $35+ on Sundays and Tuesdays, which was a nice bonus! I arrived shortly after they opened on Sunday and had such a great experience. The salon is pretty, clean, and relaxing. I chose the Pampering Time Pedicure with gel polish, which included everything you would want in a pedicure. I spent probably an hour there, but didn't mind at all - it didn't feel rushed. The massage chairs worked perfectly, and they even offered me a bottled water upon arrival, without me asking -- such a thoughtful touch. My sister and I both developed a fungal infection after visiting this salon. this was the worst nail shop ever! the nails looked nothing like the picture and the lady was rude and kept telling me to get off my phone when my nails were already dry. she also was aggressive and was not sanitary it was so disgusting they were chunky and weird so i had her clip them off and she was rude about it. She also put two different flowers on my nails, and they were flimsy and falling off as soon as she put them on. I showed her a picture and she said she could do everything on there. Then she gets to the hombre part that I wanted and then says "i can't do it" then she proceeded to put the pointer nail design on the pinky the pinky nail design on the pointer ect it was just a terrible experience and I would never go back there. She also couldn't even soak my nails off. She just cut it off very rudely and hurt my fingers. Trust the rating! Was told it would be 20 min. They got to my mom in about 25 min and I finally left the chair after 55 minutes of waiting. My mom said barely any scrubbing, didn't finish her cuticles, and uneven nails too. Paid for 20 minutes of massage and received less than 10. There's two other women waiting in chairs, one with an appointment. They've been here 50 minutes waiting. The service and friendly attitudes was great - they were accommodating to my comfort level. The quality could be better though. I walked in today being the only customer there and the much older lady (granny age) did an amazing job on my basic pedicure $30.00 plus add the gel French tip $15.00 = $45.00 The younger lady (mom age) was the one I spoke to over the phone before I showed up and at the front when I walked in. Before she did my nails, she said she would give me a discount.. She did acrylic French tip with gel nails = $45.00 While she was doing my nails, she spoke to granny a lot and at some point the tool hurt one of my fingers but that I didn't mind as she was aware and understood the situation so was gentler for the remainder of time she did my nails. But she talked as fast as she was working on my nails. Almost like she didn't pay attention to closer details. I am sad and disappointed that the acrylic French tip with gel nails was done so quickly and some of the nails seem like they are very uneven. Couple of the nails have bubbles in it that I can see. And the way it became shaped it just doesn't even look right. I don't think I will come back here again, but do appreciate granny and their time. So last night I got my nails done by here and let me tell you. My experience with this place was so upsetting. I went in and they told me ok sit here and he'll do your nails, This older gentleman. I said ok so I took out my phone and showed him what I want. I said French tip but not white. Can I please have Royal blue. He said yes ok yes I can do. So he does my nails and starts to put this pink acrylic on. I go wait what's that? Cause it was making my nails pink. I go no I want it clear. First off he doesn't even ask if I want clear or pink just assumes and put it on my nails. He said oh it's natural look ok and continues with the other fingers. I said no I want it clear, keeps going says yes it will be ok. Natural look ok. I'm like hmmmm starting to get upset. Then he's done putting the pink acrylic on and pulls out this two blues. Now I'm like wait I don't think that's not nail polish?!?! He said yes. So he put this what looks like paint for a shirt and puts it in this little machine and starts spraying my fingers. I go uhhhh it's not right he keeps going and says yes it'll be when I'm done. So he continues and at the end tells me go wash my hands and I come back thinking he's gonna do something else to make it what I ask for and nope. He's done. I was so mad, I didn't even wanna sit and wait for my friend to finish hers. I just asked her for the keys and sat in car to calm down cause at this point I was livid. Long story short, do not go to this man in this place he clearly doesn't know what he's doing. I mean who spray paints nails now? It's not even nail polish it was paint you put on a shirt with the paint gun and all. And the shit didn't even wash off my fingers took forever to get that paint off my fingers. Yeah save your $ and don't go to him wait for the other lady's cause clearly he needs new job. Smh still upset but lesson learned. I definitely learned from this lesson. DO NOT COME HERE. Okay. I honestly HATE having to get my feet done by people...but I love my toes being done because everyone likes groomed toes.... So, I happen to be in the area and my bestfriend would come here when she used to love in North Highlands, so I came here and I would NOT reccomend this place. Ive never gotten such a bad gel pedi. First off, while getting my toes filed by a rough ass filer, she kept scraping my cuticle bed and my reflexes kept making me jerk my feet and she'd look at me like I was crazy because she didnt do anything wrong. Fast forward to my all white gel pedi...........it looked like my 7 year old daughter did my damn toes and painted all over my skin. Mind you, she was scraping the shit out of my toes trying to get the white off my skin around my toes......she knew she did a shit job because she kept looking back at my toes while she was doing my basic clear nail polish mani...but she still didnt care to ask if I was satisfied because it was clearly obvious...it was a shitty fucking job. So then I told her I just wanted it off and just a clear color. She took her damn drill and was rough as hell using her thumb nail to dig into my toe while she was drilling the white off my toes....then she put an uneven ass clear coat on it and just walked away....also, my right toe was stinging and she kept saying she didnt cut me... I know what the fuck I feel...and I felt my toe was stinging AND it wasn't like that before I walked in there. I'm sure they knew I wasn't happy because the guy was standing there as if I was just going to walk out and the other lady that did my daughter's pedi ran up to the register to ring me up..they still had the audacity to charge me for a basic pedicure. $49 for my basic mani/pedi ($12/$20) and my 7 year olds pedi ($17) I'm including photos. I left my pinky toe out on purpose bc yall dont need to see that side of me (lol, yes humor calms me) but nonetheless, this is unacceptable. I'm disputing this charge. Came here for a deluxe pedicure (45 min package) which includes 10 min massage. I came in and they were really slow. i was excited because I thought for sure they would take extra care of me. False! I believe it was the owner who did my nails. She barely cleaned my nails, the massage was less than 5 min. This place is absolutely horrible. The water was way too hot and after telling her so, the lady just had us sit there until the water cooled rather than putting cool water in the foot bath. This place is hit or miss the person who did my nails did a good job but the lady who did my toes rushed and I'm not pleased with it. Paying $65 for a rushed gel on nails and toes when there IS NOT a line out the door is silly, I should get a decent paint job at least. ZERO STARS! I went in to get a simple dip removal..they charged $5 more than the places across the street. I was willing to pay the price for good work. IT WAS HORRIBLE! The lady up front did the removal. She was so unprofessional. She was not careful, kept stopping her work to leisurely talk to people & play on her phone. She cut my finger because she wasn't paying attention. It took her 1 hour just to remove the polish from 8 nails! She doesn't value her customer's time, nor does she apologize for cutting you & being sloppy. So unprofessional. It really pains me to leave this review because I literally have been going here for years..years! Only because one lady that works here Len. My mom and I always fight for her because I know she does an amazing job. Well I took my mom last Friday as a belated Mother's Day gift and she got Len and I got the owner. Biggest mistake of my life! Not only did she make my toes bleed but it was a half ass job with paint missing from my toes in areas that you can clearly see and the diamonds she put on fell off the day after. Had to work the whole week so couldn't come back til today a whole week later. My gel pedicures last me 3-4 weeks on average and the diamonds I always get on my big toes always last as well. And so I came in to see if she could fix it. I waited 30mins for her to see me and she didn't even put my feet in water and literally scrapped all the polish off with rotary tool and she got my skin again and they were still sensitive to when she did it last week. No blood this time. She was barely done with one of my feet and more clients came in and she left me there for the guy to finish me. I said there's some paint missing from some of my toes and that the get paint is cracking. He lathered on more paint and then didn't even ask me if I wanted a flower he just started putting a design and a sticker I have no clue what it even is. My friend and I made an appointment for 2 gel pedicures. I had an older lady start my toes, my friend had the owner (we think). The massage and prep was extremely rushed. The techs kept getting up answering phone calls, collecting cash, cleaning the floor with towels. They didn't change their gloves nor did they wash their hands .It just felt a little unsanitary. Needless to say it wasn't the best experience. Would consider coming back if they took more time in detail and overall the customers experience. read more

No conversation made other than her speaking her language with her employees. Cut me in two fingers, started bleeding, in one of the pictures clearly see my cut :( when I told her and she saw blood, no apologyShe just grabbed my napkin with blood and Threw it away. Paid $50 for this set. First and last time here. KIM, you need to give better customer service and I could tell that I was your last customer and did my nails fast and carelessly, hurting me in two fingers and when I told you that you cut me, you responded because you wanted to make my acrylic nail thin like picture. My husband and I came here as a last resort for pedicures. We were there for 2 hours. The movie that was playing we caught the last 20 minutes and then rewatched the whole thing again. They started on my husbands pedicure about 30 minutes before mine. My feet were sitting in cold water that whole time, no jets. When they finally did my feet, it was definitely rushed. Feet were not scrubbed, legs and feet were not massaged and the paint are sloppy, a waste of $47. That night, I noticed that they left cut toe nails still attached and one toe that is broken and not even shaped. The techs who did our feet were nice. read more

They got down on my pedi and even gave me ice tea when I was waiting. So here I am in a new place, ice tea in hand, in a massage chair getting my nails and toes done at the SAME TIME. I am not going to lie, I felt like a queen :). It wasn't even my Bday!!!! Talk about an amazing experience not to mention the PRICE WAS HALF as LA Belle. If you are looking for an affordable pedicure that will get you in and out and provide the basics, and don't really mind too much about hygiene/cleanliness practices then this is your place! They provide a very nice basic pedicure.I do appreciate that every time I have called or came in they were able to squeeze me in no problems. The lady who I believe to be the owner who sits up front and runs the show is never friendly or smiles don't be alarmed, that is normal. The reason for my 'A-OK' review is the cleanliness of this salon. I have come to notice a few things that didn't sit right with me after venturing out and getting pedicures at other salons. Ava Nails & Spa does not currently use a bag over the pedicure bowl and the tools they use are re-used. After a pedicure they do not spend or really actually clean the bowl. Its literally like a rinse, wipe, rinse. I have also seen them after a pedicure, place the tools in that blue disinfectant container and dry them off and then re-use them on another pedicure. The staff here besides the lady at the front have all been very kind and accommodating. They work really hard and make a point to get to know their customers which is rare at nail salons in my experience. They also serve water/tea which is great and the ambiance of the salon is very beautiful and welcoming. read more
