I was at Stanley Marketplace meeting an old friend, and since it was getting close to dinnertime, I decided to grab something before heading out. I noticed this newer spot--Lemongrass by Misaki--and realized I hadn't visited this part of the marketplace in a while. I ordered the green curry and a poke bowl to take home, and both were really fresh and well made. Great flavors, good portions, and everything tasted super clean. They also have a seating area if you want to dine in. I'd definitely come back and try some of their other dishes next time!

Had lunch with my friend. Got pho and spicy edaname . Overall, this was a very pleasant lunch experience and I look forward to returning and sampling more of the menu.

In my opinion, the food options at Stanley are pretty meh. From reading reviews, many places aren't an obvious hit. So it took a while to decide what I wanted and I opted for poke. The poke was quite large in quantity. You get lots of stuff from protein to toppings. It's a good option if you're looking for something on the "lighter" side. The poke was good but something felt missing compared to other places I have tried. I can't pinpoint it. However, the wings were delicious. They're very crunchy and the sauce just went really well with the wings. I would come back for the wings alone and probably an ice cream from Sweet Cow. Overall, service is friendly and quick.

This was a redemption meal if I've ever had one. Finally retuned to give the pho a chance, and am so glad I did! The broth was tangy and flavorful, the steak was cut perfectly thin so it cooked beautifully in the soup, and the proportion of noodles to other ingredients was just right. I also tried the chicken gyoza, which were tasty, with pleasant notes of lemongrass. The edamame were edamame, but a generous portion of them and not over-cooked. The pho really hit the spot and was exactly what I needed tonight. I will be back next time the craving hits!

Robert has done it again! Lemongrass is his new concept at the Stanley Market, this time he is dishing up some great Vietnamese. We typically stop by Misaki after work and lemongrass is now in my rotation if I want good consistent pho. Other places that I do say are better are not feasible to get after my long shift at the hospital but this is a safe bet. I had the Bun bo hue and regular pho and both are a solid 4 out of 5. My one gripe is that they do use the same noodles for all of their soups. Typically you would use the rounder, chewier rice noodles in the bun bo hue, so in the end it's more like a spicy pho rather than your authentic bun bo hue. The broths are rich and salty which I like. The meats and meatballs that accompany it are succulent. With winter rolling through, I highly recommend checking this place out. Robert is well known at Stanley market and is always up for a quick chat, thanks for the service!

The Pho is great, wonderful broth, plenty of beef, really hits the spot. Robert the owner is as charming as ever. I love the order at the counter service because you don't have to wait for the check at the end, the food comes out very quickly. But, the Poke Bowl??!! My husband ordered that on our second visit, I typically find poke to be over dressed and the fish tough, but not at Lemongrass. The yellowtail that my husband ordered was tender, lightly dressed, but still yummy and plentiful. The avocado was fresh, the edamame were cooked perfectly and the portion was big. This was an amazing lunch and I cannot wait to go back. Robert has done it again!

Server was nice and ambience is great but the food is downright pitiful. If you are Asian or have any semblance of what Asian food should taste like avoid here. My curry was actually just brown water. The pho is okay but the meat quality is a lot worse than many other cheaper alternative places.

Robert's done it again! His second restraint @ Stanley Marketplace. This theme includes poke and Pho. The food is delicious, just as you would expect. This is in the original location of his other restaurant, Miami Sushi which moved to another location in Stanley Marketplace.

The gyoza are on the other hand was absolutely perfect and needed no additional sauce except the one that came on it. When the black garlic Ramen came to the table, it had a slight flavor, but I would say it was pretty plain. We ended up asking for some of the sauce that was on the Gyoza for the soup base. When we added that to the soup base, it became 1000 times better. The noodles were cooked fairly well, but I would just say the broth needed a bit more flavor. You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit. It's warm, comfy, and nostalgic, and I just know I'll miss it when it's gone.

We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

Inside, the restaurant is quite small but nicely decorated and has a cozy feel. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The restaurant was very quiet there was only one other table besides us, yet the service felt very scattered. The server was kind but wasn't necessarily on top of things. For an appetizer, I ordered the tuna tartare. Although the portion was nice, it wasn't served with any chips or anything, which I thought was quite odd. It did have good flavor, but eating tuna tartare with a fork wasn't what I expected. I ordered the sashimi sampler and was quite disappointed, not only with the size of the fish but also because they served three different types of tuna. For a sashimi sampler priced at almost $40, that seemed crazy. Usually there's red snapper, yellowtail, or something other than just tuna. My boyfriend ordered the tankatsu, and it had no flavor and was very dry. I told myself I'll have to go back and give this place another try because I had high hopes, especially since their other restaurant never disappoints.

What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

Uchi is dangerous for people like me…read more Not because of the raw fish. Because the place understands seduction. I've been eating at Uchi since it opened in Denver and today it still carries that same intoxicating balance of precision, warmth, swagger, and restraint. The room itself glows instead of shouts. Wood slats divide the dining room into little private theaters while the sushi counter hums with focused choreography. Expert hands moving constantly. Rice. Fish. Quiet communication. Tiny acts of discipline repeated hundreds of times a night. I sat down intending to have a civilized happy hour. That plan lasted maybe twelve minutes. The kurodai crudo arrived first. Gooseberry, leche de tigre, candied garlic. Bright, sharp, and alive. This is the kind of starter that wakes up your entire palate and you are reminded that you will absolutely be spending more money than originally intended. Next was the bincho temaki: cool albacore, kimchi, avocado, and a vividly garish orange sauce with some heat to keep the richness from becoming too much. Uchi understands something many restaurants don't: luxuriousness needs balance. Fatty fish without acid, spice, crunch, or brightness is palate exhaustion. And then one after another the deliciousness continued: the oysters were cold and perfect with cucumber, calamansi vinegar, and umeboshi. The day boat scallop nigiri nearly stopped time altogether. Just sweet scallops, rice, citrus, a little finishing salt. Incréable. Or whatever the French word is for "I briefly forgot my own name." And somewhere during martini number one, the staff adopted me. Apparently Uchi keeps notes on guests. Mine, I was told, says I'm "nice and a good eater," which may be the most flattering thing anyone has said to me in months. Suddenly more dishes started appearing. Gifted nigiri. Ikura glowing like little amber jewels (my favorite). A ridiculous and completely delicious carrot toro maki with green chili crunch and enough heat underneath the richness to make the whole thing flirt openly with your mouth. At one point the bartenders literally invented a "walu walu shot" on the fly just because the mood had drifted into improvisational chaos. This was somewhere between oyster shooter, seafood dare, and excellent bad decisions. Meanwhile, the guests next to me started talking to me and the entire energy of the evening shifted into communal sushi-bar joy. Suddenly we were all reacting to dishes, laughing, comparing bites, participating in the same ecosystem of salt, fish, alcohol, and temporary human connection. This is the real thing Uchi sells. Not merely sushi. Attention. Rhythm. Atmosphere. Memory. The feeling of being folded into a beautifully functioning machine dedicated entirely to pleasure. And yes, by the end I was emotional enough to remember being 20 years old eating sushi with an older woman named Alana who wore real fur and introduced me to this whole sensual adult world in the first place. That is what a martini and exceptional nigiri will do to a man. The final bill before tip was somehow only $141, which honestly feels mathematically impossible considering I briefly entered a spiritual relationship with the sushi counter. I tipped $50 because at that point we were basically family. Uchi remains one of the sexiest restaurants in Denver. Not performatively sexy. Not influencer sexy. Actually sexy. Confident. Observant.
