When you walk into The Lemon Leaf, you're automatically transported to another place more reminiscent of a quaint, sidewalk cafe in Ventura than in Lancaster. It is by far one of my favorite places, not only on The BLVD, but in the Antelope Valley in general. It's the perfect place to escape your everyday stresses at work or in life and enjoy a great lunch. It's also the perfect spot for a first date providing a diverse menu with vegetarian options combined with a relaxed, casual environment. They offer an array of beverages and craft beers, but you'll never be disappointed by their freshly made Lemonade...I literally get cravings for it. It's that good! You'll definitely want to start you meal off with their Mediterranean platter which offers a generous helping of hummus, tzatziki, olives, feta, stuffed grape leaves, and roasted red peppers, served with pita bread that is grilled to perfection. For your main course, everything is delicious, but you'll definitely want to have the Quattro Formaggi pizza. Quattro Formaggi meaning "four cheeses," the chefs combine gorgonzola, feta, fresh mozzarella and parmesan cheeses on top of a thin. Neapolitan-style crust. You won't find a more authentic pizza in the Antelope Valley. If you're a vegetarian, the Traditional Greek salad will surely become your favorite salad. It's jam packed with persian cucumbers, klamata olives (my favorite), grape tomatoes, feta cheese and topped with a crisp vinaigrette that is made in-house. When it comes time for dessert, it will be hard to say no because your entire meal is spent eyeing the desert case in between bites. It's actually the first thing you notice when you venture up to the counter to place your order. The Valrhona Chocolate Cake is the perfect fix to that chocolate addict inside most of us. It is a completely decadent cake topped with a buttercream frosting that rivals my grandmother's (God rest her soul). You may find yourself coming in for just a slice of it and I may or may not be guilty of doing the same. If you're an alien and you don't like chocolate, the Lemon Tart is amazing!! n a sea of corporate chains and over done concepts, The Lemon Leaf truly stands as a beacon of hope for the culinary taste buds in the Antelope Valley. This was one of my favorites before I became Gluten Intolerant. They do offer rice pasta at an extra cost. I don't feel I should pay extra for a having a disability. Sugar free is not charged extra. So I choose a salad. It was very small for $15.00. I couldn't have the bread and butter of course. I paid extra for chicken and it was 6 whole slices of chicken. I still wanted to like it so I asked the waitress are the salads usually thus small. She said, Yes politely and walked away with no desire totry to make it a better experience. Lol this place- well I have remembered why I try to not support local restaurants in the area anymore, because it's all about the money and no customer service. I went in today to place an order to go I had 2 pastas and I was ordering a pizza. Now keep in mind the pizza is about 14$ for the four cheese. My simple request was I want to add ham on the whole pizza and half pineapple because my wife does not like pineapple. The cashier asked someone I believe the owner or something if it was possible the response was no. Lol wait so I'm buying a 16-20 dollar pizza and you guys cannot simply put pineapple on half of it? Lol. Even though I had asked for 2 pastas I said that alone makes me not want to put my money in the owners pocket. I'm definitely not cheap in anyway. I would have paid for pineapple on the whole pizza but when they can't make a simple request happen its hard to want buy anything. Oh well the pupusa place right down the street was awesome!!! We had a quick dinner tonight at L.L and found it enjoyable. We both ordered the Sirloin Steak that included a Caesar Salad and Mashed potatoes. My date had the brownie milkshake which she enjoyed very much and I had a passion berry hot tea which was fine. My Steak was good and tender but could have used just a dash more seasoning for my taste and steak sauce wasn't available. We tipped out at about Sixty dollars for two of us for a casual dinner so it's not cheap but it's reasonable. The meal portion was more than adequate, the wait staff were attentive and the atmosphere was wonderful. For the price... full service dinning would be great...I am not fond of prepaying for my meal at the counter esp for dinner. All around our dinning experience was pleasurable and I would recommend to friends. I usually order the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo which is my guilty pleasure. We will be going back soon. Decent seemingly family owned restaurant. Usually make my way to the Blvd when I feel the need to eat one of their veggie baguette press sandwiches. I think it's one of the best items on the menu. However, lately the cooks have been getting lazy and the veggies are a little cold. If the veggies didn't get warm enough to melt the cheese, it's not a press, nor properly made! As mentioned by another patron, the side pasta salad (I.e. 4 pieces of bow tie pasta) is a little on the weak side considering their prices. It is for this reason, I couldn't really give 4 stars. Their antipasto salad is pretty good too. Their pizzas are decent, I usually order the grilled prosciutto. Although I think it might look better than it tastes.. Not sure what it's missing, but pretty decent with a salad. Staff or owners I should say, are very attentive and nice. read more

I was on the blvd in a book store and saw an amazing brownie on the back counter. Someone told me it's from the lemon leaf. I hurried over to ensure I could get one. As I entered the lemon leaf, the atmosphere was elegant, cool on a hot day and relaxing. I wished I had made dinner reservations there instead of where I did. A nice lady greeted us as well as a nice young man ready to seat us. I mentioned the brownies and was responded to with a smile. I noticed it had a yellow sticker on the back, the young man said that means it was made yesterday. I normally frown on trying a day old brownie but it was huge and still looked fudgy. I took a risk. Fair price for such a large brownie. I tried it later on in the day. To my surprise it had chocolate chips in it which I normally don't care for in a brownie, but it was an incredible brownie. I wish I had bought two as brownies freeze very well. Good texture, taste, incredible with cold milk. 9 1/2 in my book. Yum read more

It is true that I have experienced better, but not in Lancaster. I travel a lot for work and often have a hard time finding local non-chain restaurants that are good. This place has decent pizza and the salads are good too. The reason for the 2-star score? The inattentive wait staff. My order was to go and I tipped them out upon completing my transaction. I asked for water while I waited...I asked twice and never received it. A glass of water. All I wanted was a glass of water - and she wouldn't give it to me! The cashier, who insisted I would be given a glass of water, was too busy talking to her teenage coworkers to fulfill her promise. What should one expect though with an entire wait staff of teenagers? I may give them one more chance. It's only fair. read more

In last Saturday for a dinner before attending the old ELO @ LPAC. Although the food was certainly up to par, the service was absolutely terrible. Food slow in coming, waitresses forgetting to service the table, not just for our table but everyone seemed to be complaining. To be fare, this is not the norm but allow plenty of time if you attend another function later that evening. We'll see how it goes next time we go there. read more

I have been eating at Lemon Leaf for quite some time, but lately disappointed in ingredients for certain dishes. Peanut Butter cookies have very very little taste of peanut butter compared to what they use to be. For the price, you should have the feeling of the jar of peanut butter in front of you to taste and smell. read more

Lemon leaf Café in Lancaster total waste I ordered a Greek chicken wrap and it was more like it was a lettuce wrap because the only thing that was in it was Lettuce! I had about three pieces of chicken, the wrap is overpriced they gave me a side salad but it look like a little medicine cup, what they call a side salad! The total cost was $10.85. The taste of the food was good but it's not worth what I paid for LETTUCE, I definitely won't be going back. I did call to complain about the sandwich wrap, I was advised that they did leave off two small pieces of chicken that they should have added, it should've had five pieces , LOL. My wife and I continue to dine at The Lemon Leaf. The food remains excellent and the casual ambiance is nice. However, the service continues to be weird/poor. While I can somewhat understand having the lunch crowd order at the counter with the food/drink then being served to the table (interestingly, Bakery Express in Palmdale does an amazing lunch business with full table service so the argument that it can't be done doesn't stand up to reason), I still cannot understand why full table service is not offered during dinner. The restaurant continues to have a "serving/busing" staff but not a 'wait" staff. There are two good servers (who sometimes are both on dinner duty and sometimes not), but no true waiters/waitresses. Standing in line to order, is not really conducive to a fine dining experience. There is no one to recommend wine selections, announce/recommend specials or other selections, regularly drop by your table to properly attend to your dining needs, etc. Having the person who is working the cash register recommend a wine selection, just doesn't work when standing in line and depending upon who's at the counter taking orders that experience sometimes results in total frustration). Last night, I stood in line for nearly ten minutes while persons in front of my moved through, one-at-a-time with one guy (apparently a first time dinner so I don't blame him) deciding that the menu deserved a very careful reading worthy of a best seller and then taking five minutes to decide what to order. Often times, my desert order is simply overlooked by the serving staff and I have to ask the busboy to have my desert (which I ordered at the counter along with dinner) served. Another source of frustration is that the serving/bussing staff 'changes' while you dine. Sometimes the food is served by one person while another later comes by to ask if you need a drink refill - sometimes no one comes to offer a drink refill and you have to grab the passing busboy and ask him for a refill. Another uncomfortable aspect is how much to tip. We regularly tip 20-25% for good food, drink, ambiance and service. Last week for example, I tipped $35 on top of a $142 dinner/beverage tab at RedWhite & Bluezz in Pasadena (excellent food, drink, ambiance AND service). When tipping at Lemon Leaf, I don't feel that even 15% is justified as you're not receiving full table service with the requisite level of attention, but rather you're just standing around in line to order then the food and drink is delivered to your table. Sometimes the serving staff keeps your glass filled, but sometimes that gets pushed to the wayside. So while we like the food and casual ambiance, we would/will patronize another local restaurant (should one open) that offers similar food/ambiance but provides full table service. We really like The Lemon Leaf but unless/until the service improves, the dining experience will always be less than deserved/possible. EB Palmdale, CA read more

We had never been to Lancaster, and used Yelp to find this place. Once again, it steered us right. Easy to find, we had no problem parking on the street out front even though the place was packed. Order at the counter, then find a table. We ordered the mediterranean appetizer sampler, with hummus, spiced feta, olives, pita bread. Loved the olives, couldn't stop eating them, the hummus was perfect with a drizzle of olive oil. The roasted red bell peppers complimented the feta nicely. Also had the soup special which was lentil and sausage - really good, spicy, didn't last long. For the main course we had the four cheese pizza. Usually cheese pizza's are kind of boring, but this one was spiced perfectly and really tasty. The chocolate cake was a little dry, but the cannoli was lovely, cardamom? Can't wait to come back here. Would really recommend this place, we loved it.Oh yes and the wait staff was attentive, great service. read more

The food is very good here. It has a nice atmosphere. Parking is difficult on the boulevard, but there is a parking lot in the back and an entrance from the back parking lot. The service is good. Their wine is good and the desserts are even better! I will continue spending good times and good meals at The Lemon Leaf. You should try this restaurant next time you want a nice meal. read more

It was my very first time here and its fantastic! I got a Turkey BAT and it was delicious. They served some pasta on the side of the pizza and it was also delicious The brownies are huge and are delicious. I tried a piece of the Barbeque Chicken Pizza and it was good; it reminded me of California Pizza Kitchen's Barbeque Chicken Pizza. I highly recommend it. My favorite restaurant in the AV. I recently moved to Lancaster from LA, and unfortunately there are not that many great places to eat out here (I was spoiled living down in LA!). Most restaurants are Mexican... Not a whole lot of variety. I was very, very pleased when I discovered Lemon Leaf. This place is consistently good; I've been there many times now and every time it's just as delicious as the first. I always tend to get the same things... I usually order the Pizza Insalata (thin crust cheese pizza with no sauce and salad on top) and it's amazing. When I'm on a rush I order the Torpedo Wrap, which is also really good. I love the lavash bread they use for wraps, instead of cheap tortilla. I agree that the prices are a bit on the higher side, but it's well worth it. Every single dish I have tried was amazing, the service is great (very friendly staff), and the place is adorable. I very much recommend it. I love it!! read more

I really enjoyed this place. The prices are a bit high, but the rent is unreasonable on the Blvd for small business owners. From my understanding the pasta is from scratch I don't know but it is like no other Italian restaurant in this desert. Been here a few times and the foot traffic is steady so plan on waiting a few minutes. The food is amazing gave it a four star for price.
