Great little Thai restaurant. The menu choices are many and the food is good. I started out with the House Salad in which all of the vegetables were extremely fresh and topped with their homemade Thai Peanut Dressing that was delicious! For our entrees, I had the Pad Thai, and while I've had better, it was still very tasty, and my wife loved their Nam Sod. We finished with their homemade Thai Donuts - an absolutely must!! read more

Value for your money! I love their vegetable soup with lots of Sriracha. The chicken wings are yummy! The curries, pad Thai, tempura veggies, green papaya salad, banana in coconut milk...everything is tasty. Everyone is friendly there. It's my weekly stop! I have one concern...the customer who goes there not just to eat but hogs a table for four even after s/he is finished and can clearly see that there are people waiting. S/he is not only rude but inconsiderate. It's not Starbucks or Barnes & Noble, where you can just sit around...do that in your home. Here's to you: When you've finished eating, get up, pay, then leave, so others can be seated, to eat! Been looking for a good Thai restaurant in the area and Lemon Grass Thai Kitchen is great! Had the Tom Yum soup with shrimp medium heat and it was super yummy. The Som Tum (green papaya) salad was fresh and crunchy with beautiful subtle flavor, my husband would have liked to have extra peanuts but I'm sure that's something that you could ask for. Pad Thai was delicious, and the Panang Curry, hot, was light and delicious, the right blend of sweetness and spice, the vegetables cooked to perfection. First impression is a lasting impression! So, in my ginger sauce vegetable dish I found a piece of hair, who knows how many more pieces of hair were there. As soon as I found the first one, I stopped eating. It disgusted me and it goes to shows that the cook does not wear any hair net or something to cover the head. My son ordered fish with a spicy coconut dip of which he enjoyed, too. My order was the seafood fried rice. It was good and I had enough for leftovers. I did expect it to be a spectacular experience from reviews and urging from friends. I really had more of an alright experience with nothing more unusual than any other Chinese restaurant. Take Out review: Hubby and I happened upon this place while looking for dinner options after a tiring game of kickball. We placed our order with a nice woman working the front. Luckily the place wasn't too busy since it was a Wednesday night so we got our food fairly quickly. We ordered a chicken pad thai (stir-fried rice noodles with egg, crushed peanuts, cilantro and scallions in a mild sweet sauce) and a chicken pad se-ew (stir-fried wide rice noodles with veggies in a semi-sweet brown sauce). We both enjoyed our selections as they had great flavor and the portions were large. Since I have a tendency to like most things, I usually look to my picky-eater husband to gauge whether or not a place is any good. Hubby approved of this place! He loved the flavor of his pad se-ew and the little taste I got of it was full of yumminess. I was also a fan of the pad thai I ordered. It wasn't too sweet nor was it overly spicy. After reading reviews, I had high expectations, as Thai is my favorite cuisine. The flavors just tasted off to me. I've had Tom Kha in many different regions and they were all somewhat similar with slight variations. This one was much different and didn't taste very coconut-based. I've had the lunch buffet a few times. Food is really good. I've had mostly great experiences there. Though I'm writing this review because today was a lil frustrating. I arrived right before 2pm, the buffet closes at 2:30. I got a plate of food but many of the pans were empty. There were 13 of us still dining. I went up to get my 2nd plate and noticed nothing was added since my first trip. I asked if more food would be put out. The young woman said "probably not because we are closing in 10 minutes". It was 2:10 at this time. So I asked "you close at 2:20?". The waiter chimed in and asked what I would like, he then made me a plate of what I requested. Which was nice but I shouldn't have had to have this confrontation. Also, there's still 12 others currently dining. There were literally 7 empty pans out of maybe 10. The most popular dishes empty. My thing is, there are too many people dining in your establishment to not keep the food full until those people are finished, paid and gone. I will come back as it is affordable and food is good. Just hoping they'll fix this issue. read more

I called & the lady answered saying oh I know I missed up your order (I guess from caller id) she said she would just credit my entire order for the inconvenience. Never did. This place is awesome. I knew there was a Lemon Grass Thai restaurant in south Tampa and I heard about this location last week. We decided to give it a try and I am so happy I did. The restaurant is not big, but it is super clean and the food is to die for. I am a vegetarian, so I am usually nervous if restaurants would have a good selection for me. Lemon Grass certainly did, actually there was such a great selection I was really impressed with the variety of both vegetarian and non veggie selections. The staff is also super friendly. I think this is going to be one of my favorite places for lunch. They have a great buffet as well as you can order from the menu, but you will not go wrong with the buffet for sure. read more

I've done take out twice-- the Pad Thai is good, but I've had better. My problem has been the service: the first time, I just felt unwelcomed as I waited for my take out. This time I called at 5:10 for a 6pm. I got there at 5:40 and expected to wait-- but after I paid the girl turned around and my food was bagged up on a counter at room temperature waiting for me. I'm glad I didn't get there when I said I would. I'm not even sure how healthy food sitting out for 30m, before being driven 10m home is-- but it's poor service. read more
