My sister and I, before she moved to college, had a thing where we would try all our local Thai restaurants. As someone who has now gone to Thailand and tried local cuisine, Thai Chilli Pepper has remained as a top contender. Their service is always sweet and caring and the decor is great for a relaxing dinner with friends or even a date night! The classic, Pad Thai, has great flavor and I love that their noodles come with a lot of sauce! Summer rolls with the peanut sauce is always a banger. I have tried almost all their Curreys, they all taste phenomenal; they even sell ToGo baggies to those who want to make their own Currey at home with their recipe! Bangkok wings are crisped to perfection. Thai tea has a rich, creamy flavor profile which surprisingly a lot of people mess up. This time around I wanted to try their Seafood Tom Kha and their Yum Beef Salad. I got them both medium and it was the perfect amount of spice, flavor, and punch. I'm telling you. They never disappoint!

My favorite was the crab Rangoon's, I would definitely return here based on the customer service alone!! It was very calm, clean and pleasant inside. I want to try the fresh spring rolls next time.

They have their own parking in this plaza. Walked in here around 8:30 PM. They close at 10PM. A lot of places around closed earlier for a Thursday night from my search. It was empty, but people took food to go. We had the place to ourself. Nice and chill. We had two males assist us. One was new and shadowing. They were very nice and helpful. We went with the pad thai chicken and added shrimp. $3 more for shrimp for 5 of them. We asked for sweet and extra saucy and limes. Our dish was so big for both of us and it came out just perfect. We will def keep this in mind bc both of us loved their pad thai. I thought the prices were up there, and I figured bc of the area, but when we were able to split this one seeing how big it was, it was worth it for sure.

Booking a reservation online was so easy, and it didn't end up being a busy evening, as it was a Tuesday night, so we could have easily walked in, as well. The parking was easy and upon driving up, I instantly remembered that this location used to be Roux, a great New Orleans inspired restaurant where I used to frequent for brunch. The same tiled ceiling is still in placed but the remaining features of the restaurant have all changed. The space is open and inviting, and the bar at the entrance has been updated. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the menu is lengthy with plenty of great options. I ordered the fried tofu for our starter, and it was perfectly cooked and the dipping sauce was delicious! The tofu was as so plentiful that I ended up taking half the starter home. They definitely give you plenty! For our entrees, I ordered Panang Curry with steamed tofu and my friend ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. Both dishes came out hot and smelled lovely, and the taste was out of this world! I ordered medium and it was the perfect spice level, and the curry was so flavorful and delicious! It may even be the best Panang Curry I've had in Tampa!

The restaurant is not large, but its cozy size gives it a friendly, neighborly atmosphere. I even asked the people sitting next to us what they had ordered because, in my experience, fellow diners often give the best recommendations. We started with the Fresh Rolls. The order included four rolls, which was plenty for us to share. They were light, refreshing, and delicious, and the peanut sauce enhanced the flavors perfectly. Next, we tried the special of the day--the Curry Puffs. We were served three puffs filled with a flavorful curry mixture wrapped in flaky puff pastry and accompanied by a sweet cucumber salad. (I wish I had asked for the recipe!) Finally, we had to try the traditional Chicken Pad Thai, and it did not disappoint. The portion was generous enough for us to share and still have leftovers to take home. The prices were very reasonable--everything we ordered came to less than $40. We will definitely be returning! I'm giving this review 5 stars. It highlights the food, service, atmosphere, portion sizes, and value, which are exactly the details most diners look for when choosing a restaurant.
