I don't recommend to go here for buffet or a la carte. This place is does not refill their buffet enough that there isn't good for you to eat. You have to ask the employees if their gonna refill it. Such a shame. Employees ask if we need the buffet to be refilled. Are you serious?! Why do you need to ask me if we need more food refilled in the buffet. Server doesn't even keep the buffet area clean. I understand that you close early for lunch but if people are still coming in to eat and there's no food to look at, at the buffet plus it's also not being kept clean or wiped down the counters then why bother being open. Just annoyed read more

Love lemongrass. They're great. We order pad thai, drunken noodles, Tom yum, Tom Kha, and their fried rices and curries and been satisfied with these dishes. Great portion sizes for their prices, and we've always gotten fresh food. Takeout is quick and the staff is friendly. read more

I love this place. We always seem to get the same thing, hot Priking with veggies and med. hot chicken cashew with heart shaped rice. It is by far the cleanest restaurant I have ever eaten at. The waiter is always pleasant. I look forward to eating the leftovers tomorrow! read more

Oh god no. Nope. What in the heck did you give me ? I ordered spring rolls...you know, the crispy, nearly translucent wrappers with a fresh vegetable filling? Not hard, burnt, eggy with brown stuff inside. Gross. And, the pad thai was awful. Why ? I can make this so much better. It's not even hard. I pay $30 for 2, because I expect it to be convenient, but also good. Good, it was not. read more

Bland bland bland! Ordered two curries, one panang curry and one red curry, both with tofu. They both tasted exactly the same, and had less taste than I've ever experienced from a Thai restaurant. And I eat a LOT of Thai. Basically red-tinted coconut milk, with vegetables and tofu. I will say the veggies were at least fresh. They were so bad I actually called the business to let them know how bland they were. The staff person said they make the curry sauce in advance, and add the veggies, meat etc. when ordered, and that they serve a lot of curry at both locations so she didn't understand, saying everyone's tastes are different. I let her know if that was the case, and it wasn't just a bad day or someone had forgotten a key ingredient in ours, we wouldn't be back. I didn't ever think I'd be this disappointed in Thai food, but there's a first for everything! I'll also say that on a Saturday at peak lunch time, there was only one couple eating the buffet, and ours was the only takeout order waiting at the checkout. Perhaps not the popular restaurant the staff person claimed it was. read more

Not authentic at all. We ordered 4 simple dishes and everything was very Americanized and flavorless. Note: authentic Thai dishes do not have carrots in them!!!! Thank the heavens my husband is Thai (he wouldn't even eat the larb gai at this place) and 90% of the time I eat homemade Thai food. Still to this day the best and only great Thai restaurant in the Tampa/Brandon area is Thai 5! read more

Great tasting. Large portions. Great service and a lunch buffet. It doesn't get much better than this. My wife and I love coming here. Great curries and a large menu. You won't get bored here. read more

Came to check out their lunch buffet. There wasn't much of a selection and they never refilled the 2 empty trays in the 45 mins I was there. Food was ok. read more

I would give five stars because I really do love the food but I went for lunch and asked to substitute the rice soup for A different soup and they wouldn't do it not even for an up charge. They were going to make me buy a whole separate side of soup and the lunch portion for takeout was very small. If you're going there for lunch I would go for the buffet not the takeout lunch portion. read more

I have tried this Thai restaurant twice and would return again! The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The jasmine iced tea was refreshing. Our family had the thai fried rice, chicken red curry, pad se ew, and pad thai chicken. The chicken was very tender and all white meat. Best thai that we have had in Tampa. read more

This is truly the REAL Thai that anyone can love. The Mango Sticky Rice was hands down the best I have ever had. I credit them for excellent service, good ambiance and a great location. It was the location that brought me here to begin when I first arrived in Florida from California. They cook food very authentic and I enjoyed this, it was like I had went from Thai to Thai. Everything was the same and I like that. I enjoy Thai and was happy to find this location so close to my home and work. This place is accessible from a run to Home Depot, to a visit to my Hairdresser on Bloomingdale in Riverview, FL. I gave this review 5 stars because I believe they truly deserve it. I don't randomly give 5 stars and I have been to many establishments. I thank you Lemon Grass for fine dining every time I come in. read more

I do not recommend this restaurant - we ordered the chef's special snapper and it was not special. $35 - and it was not good, It was crispy which is normally how I like it but there was barely any meat on it more like all bones and barely enough for two. It was obviously not fresh which is what you expect for the "Special" read more

Delicious food, nice environment and very friendly staff. Authentic Thai food and lots of variety. Everything is homemade and fresh. Family friendly and affordable restaurant. Try it ,and you won't be disappointed. read more

I can't believe my wife and I ate in the same restaurant that received such favorable reviews. We were VERY disappointed, especially because we like Thai food. We had the buffet lunch and we know better than to expect luxury food at buffet lunch prices, but this was ridiculous! The only meat was chicken, served in a couple of curry dishes and also fried. Not only were the dishes limited but they were not good. The curried chicken was dried out and the fried chicken was too tough for my wife to get through the breading. It's possible that the a la carte dishes are better but I'm not going to try to find out, based on this experience. read more

Best Thai Food around! I drive almost half an hour just to eat at this place. Its awesome.

Worst Thai buffet I have ever been to!!! Not only was the food disgusting, but the service was by far the worse I've ever had at a restaurant/buffet. After explaining that I did not like the food (both bowls of soups & the plate of food I had served myself were almost intact) & that we wanted to order a to go buffet either way, I asked if we could just put the food that I served myself, that I barely touched, in a to go box & pay for a to go buffet instead of a dine in buffet. I basically just drank water & talked to my family member, that's how much I didn't eat. The server so graciously tells me about three times during one sentence that I needed to tell her upon entrance that one was to go & the other dine in, not that I can change it from dine it to to go. I obviously know that you can't sit down at a buffet, eat all you want, then ask for a to go box, fill it up with food & ask just to pay the to go portion. Since I literally took maybe 4 spoonfuls of food out of everything I served, I thought that she would understand that I really didn't dine in & I did want to pay for the food, but just wanted to put it to go. She then proceeds to say that she can't allow me to do that because then other customers will do that. Again, I'm not asking for free food here. I wanted to pay for a to go buffet instead of dine in since I barely touched the food. Meanwhile, she's going around refilling the other customers' drinks & attending to them. My cup of water needed a refill & she wouldn't even look towards our table. I speak to her one more time, thinking that maybe she didn't understand what I was trying to say. Keep in mind, I'm polite & nice during all 3 occasions that I talked to her. She ends up saying that if I didn't like the buffet food that I could order something from the menu. Um, isn't it basically the same thing if I'm going to pay you $11 for a to go buffet instead of however much for one item from the menu? Then 3 employees come out from the back & sit down at a table to eat. The server goes to their table & they speak in their native language, while turning their heads & looking at my table. This is incredibly rude. First of all, as a server, you try to make the customer happy. Second of all, you don't talk about the customer right in front of them. We end up going to the register to pay for 2 dine in buffets & we ask for the manager. The server stutters & gets all flustered, saying that her mother is the manager. So we ask to speak with her mother. She then changes what she said & says the manager is her sister & she'll be in Wednesday. She also adds in that "if I didn't like the food, so sorry." My family member let her know that she's a frequent customer & that she's noticed the server has a bit of an attitude. The server very ignorantly says "oh really? sorry." She completely disregarded any concerns we had, didn't try to accommodate us at all & on top of it all had an attitude with us! My family member really loved the food there, but after today's experience & their maltreatment towards me, she is refusing to go back. This could've been resolved in a completely different manner, where both parties would've been satisfied, but since this buffet does not care whatsoever for their first time customers, or customers altogether, my family & I will never return. read more

I discovered this gem of a Thai restaurant shortly after relocating to the Riverview area. The food has wonderful flavor and is very fresh. I love that I can select veggie, tofu or meat options with many of the dishes. The lunch buffet is also an exceptional value given the variety of selections available. They offer take out which I've done repeatedly - its always fresh and hot and prepared within the time they tell you, I've rarely had to wait more than a minute or two when arriving for my take out. They also will customize the spiciness of the food to your request. My favorites here are the Veggie Pad Thai, Red Curry with Chicken, Green Curry Chicken, Tom Yum medium spicy with Chicken or Veggies and the Fresh Rolls (non-fried). I've sampled Thai restaurants from NY, NY to Seattle, Washington and always found those on the West coast to have the best flavors, I'm pleased to say that Lemon Grass Thai is added to my list of the best. So glad they are near by! It could only get better if they offered delivery or participated in one of the local delivery services. read more

I have dinned here several times. My husband and I usually order some sort of stir-fry and it is always delicious. We decided the try the "Thai" style fried rice, and boy was that a great decision on our part. They have a few different types of fried rice, but the "Thai-style" is where its at!!! I don't know what they do, but it's the most amazing fried rice I have ever had, anywhere. They also serve it with fresh tomato and cucumber, which is a different spin on fried rice, but makes it unique, fresh, an simply amazing. The portion size for the rice dish is in-sane. I usually get one to two more meals from the leftovers alone. We have also tried the pot stickers, spring rolls, and ginger salad - all of which are very good. The restaurant is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and prompt with taking orders, refilling drinks, etcetera. The price is pretty typical for this type of food in this area. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place, hence, my 5 star rating! read more
