Their food is great. At this time, they only let you do takeout now. I got 2 orders of their veggie rolls. They are 5 rolls to the order, they are small, about half the size of a regular egg roll. My last order, I only got 8 rolls (of the 10 I ordered), the girls behind the counter are all between 17 and 21, they are a bit clueless. First time trying this place on a Sunday and it was on point! The Tom Kai Gu soup did not disappoint! And the Panang Curry was amazing. We were impressed. Ordered from this store thru Door Dash. The pad Bamee (ramen noodles, beef and mixed vegetables) had 2 pieces of broccoli, two pieces of zucchini, gray beef (???) and a bunch of noodles. Called the store to complain and was told they are not affiliated with Door Dash, so there is nothing they can do. Told me to call Door Dah to complain about their (Lemon Grasses') food. Really?!? You put out bad food and it is the delivery service's fault?!? WOW...Oddly, I order this same dish from the Lemon Grass in Tampa and it is awesome. Lemon grass is one of my Thai resturants in the Brandon area. They are located across from Winthrop Plaza and just North of Bloomingdale. They have a lunch buffet from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm . Last week I stopped in here with a friend at lunch. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that 90% of the buffet items featured chicken which is my least favorite meat. My friend ordered the pad Thai with a side of peanut sauce and rice and they were more then willing to accommodate him without charging us. I ordered the garlic beef and it was pretty good, just not the best. I also ordered a soft drink and they have them in cans. They also have a few bottled beers and wines. I hope that they expand their lunch menu soon and have more meats in their lunch buffet. Will add more after my next visit! read more

Small place, maybe 12 tables. In the back they have what looks like a buffet. It wasn't in use for our visit. Server was nice and gave us some good advice on ordering. Will not be returning. My pad Thai was bland and dry, however the shrimps were plump honestly there were only 3. The spring/fresh rolls were super soggy and lettuce was too thick. They were not appealing to eat or look at. The rice paper was sticking together (soggy and super sticky) because the were not individually wrapped or that the rice paper was soaked too long. There's a nice outdoor seating area and they are very friendly. My wife really enjoys the Pad Thai. I always get the green curry which is the best I've had. The pot stickers are quite good but the crab Rangoon is very different. Liked the edamame. I had the lunch buffet and it was really good. The Spicy chicken with basil and the green curry were my favorite. I also enjoyed the soups and I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a Thai Fried chicken wing, but those were some awesome wings!! crispy and tasty. The guy next tome combined some chili sauces from the bar with some super hot diced peppers to add to the wings and I had to do the same right away. I'm pretty sure I'll think of him tonight. For vegetarians there are at least 4 hot dishes (including the soup) and a salad bar that was very fresh (it gave me the illusion that I was eating healthy and my fried wing guilt disappeared). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there was only chicken...where's the beef??? Fish and shrimp would have been nice too, but again, $7.95 for Chicken Thai buffet is a great deal. I have only been for lunch, so that is what my review is based on. This review would be a 3.5 star if I could give one. It is very close to my work and inexpensive. The lunch buffet is only $7.95 and they had a full on selection. I went for the Chicken in Chili Sauce (hot) and my man friend went for Green Curry Beef (medium). Both were very tasty and the food came out fast. I wouldn't say that Lemon Grass was anything to write home about, but I have a feeling that I will frequent there many more times for a quick and healthy Thai lunch. Pad Thai (medium heat): almost no heat, sauce was to sweet, meat looked like it was boiled and really should have been crispy Thai Rice (beef): too sweet, meat seemed boiled Rangoons: very good Crisp Rolls and spring rolls: Decent Rolls, but had a fishy flavor. I think it was the fresh rolls which was a salad in a wrapper. The portions were large but I think it was a bit pricey for a Thai takeout. Ordered 4x Pad Thai, Spring Roll, Fresh roll, ran goons and Thai fried rice... Came to $78. Other places we have been to the bill would have maybe been $50-ish. I disliked the Pad Thai and Fried Rice so much, I couldn't finish the food and threw it away. read more

I have had mixed feelings about Lemon Grass lately... To me, Wat Mongkolratanaram temple will forever hold the title of having the best pumpkin curry, but I decided to give it a try at Lemon Grass, too. It was....just...ok. The only thing that detracted from it for me was the use of, I don't know quite what it was.. Cilantro? Basil? I really have no clue. But every once and a while, I would get a taste or a smell that wàs unexpected. But on the good side, it warmed my tummy and seemed fairly priced. The real winners were actually the appetizers. My husband and I ate her Saturday night. I was a little unsure of what to expect at a Thai place. However, we enjoyed our meal. We started with the veggie egg rolls, which were very good. I am not a very big spice or sauce person so I went with the mixed vegetable Thai style fried rice. It was a huge portion. I took home more than half. It was typical fried rice. My husband had the chicken in peanut sauce. He said it was a bit of a cinnamon taste that he didn't care for. Overall we liked our meal and will probably go back to try different dishes. Went to get their lunch buffet takeout today. It was about 1:15 pm (lunch buffet is till 2:30pm) and there was nothing but Pad Thai available. Asked the waiter if they would be replenishing the items and he rudely asked what I wanted. I said everything somewhat sheepishly. After waiting for almost 10 minutes, only one item had been replenished. The waiter asked me if I was ready to pay so I told him I'm still waiting for more items. He told me, "can't you hear, they're still cooking in the kitchen?" I waited another few minutes and one more item was brought out. I paid and left wanting to complain to someone about the service and lack of food but no one was there. Will NOT go back to this place and don't recommend it either! read more

What a delight! My friend and I ate here the other day for lunch. I was "iffy" about it at first but was pleasantly surprised when I left with my belly full for less that $10 bucks. After ordering you will be brought a bowl of soup and and a Spring Roll served with Sweet Chili Sauce. For your entree, You pick your choice of meat then your sauce, I ordered the Garlic Sauce Sauté. This was sautéed with garlic & black pepper in brown sauce with mixed veggie, crispy garlic & scallions sprinkle served with Jasmine Rice. Everything tasted great, was fresh and delicious. My friend got a curry entree and hot saki, our total bill with $5 tip came to $26. It's a steal for how much delicious food we got. Service was friendly, portion size was ample, and you can't beat the price. This is definitely a hidden gem in a city when chain fast food dominates. read more

I could count how much seafood I ate; 2 mussels, 1 shrimp, 3 calimari and 3 mini scallops. The rest of the soup was broth, barely any onions and NO cilantro as they said would be in the soup. The Chicken drunken noodles was extremely greasy. The shrimp noodle soup was somewhat decent. Very disappointed that I considered asking for my money back as we did not even eat all of our food. I've been to this place a couple of times now to pick up dinner to take home and there are rarely anyone there (should have been a sign for me). This last time I ordered red curry chicken and peanut chicken dinners and spring rolls. I also got a Thai iced tea. None of us enjoyed the red curry and even the chicken tasted off. The peanut chicken was better but not by much. They both came with rice on the side but these were just big globs. We did finish the spring rolls but ended up throwing out most of the red curry (and I really hate wasting food) but it just wasn't edible. Sitting on the corner of Providence and Bloomingdale is probably the best Thai food in the Tampa area. The service is exceptional. We had appetizers within 5 minutes. The Thai sampler platter filled us up. Drinks are cold and readily available (soda, water, beer and wine). The chicken pad thai (medium heat) was great. The cook everything mild and then caution you how warm they can make everything. The fried rice was very light and flavorful with hint a coconut. We visited one week night and were scared honestly. It was 6:45pm and we were the ONLY people in the place. However, we were soon joined by a lot of others and before long the restaurant was full, and there is where the weakness is. The service is amazingly friendly as any Thai restaurant should be. As a prerequisite to this review, I must mention that I rated this place a 4 rather than a 3 due to the incredible price of the lunch buffet ($8.95). Red curry with chicken: The sauce was tasty, creamy and semi-sweet as it should have been. The chicken was ok, but nothing special and there were too many vegetables mixed in for my taste. This curry is best poured on top of the white rice, which was decent as well. Vegetable fried rice: This was good. They didn't mess it up but it wasn't amazing either. Noodles with tofu: This dish is comprised of Ramen style noodles mixed with tofu and veggies. It was good. Vegetable spring rolls: They tasted like they were frozen and probably were. Here is my gripe with frozen food... it's ok to cook frozen food as long as the customer can't tell the difference between frozen and fresh. In this case, it was pretty obvious. The filling was bland, the exterior was stale and not fresh, and even the addition of sweet and sour sauce did not make me think otherwise. Chicken wings: These were surprisingly great, and tasted much better than they appeared. The batter was nice and crispy and the chicken was moist. Those wings tasted much better than those at many chicken wing restaurants i've eaten at. If you decide to try this place out, don't miss out on the wings. Bananas with coconut milk: This was one of their two desserts and it was pretty good. The name describes this dish perfectly... freshly sliced bananas in creamy coconut milk... YUMMY! Sweet, crispy chips: This dessert is good at first bite and gets better the more of it you eat. They took flour tortilla wedges, fried them in oil and topped them with sweetened condensed milk and sugar... ADDICTING! All in all, the food itself was collectively good... BUT FOR THE PRICE... AWESOME! It is very difficult to find a restaurant where you can stuff your face with various dishes that are pretty much all good at minimum, all for under $10 after taxes... PHENOMENAL! My wife and I had the lunch Buffet. On the positive, the food was well prepared and flavorful. The service needs to be upgraded. They had one young man taking orders, clearing tables, providing drinks taking payment. On arrival, there was one chicken wing left and we had to ask for more. During the time we were there, non of the entrees were refreshed. Essentially we paid for vegetarian pad thai, one serving of red curry each, and some green curry. We came in for lunch around 1:30. It's a pretty small establishment but it's not cluttered or anything. We were greeted promptly and told we could sit wherever we like. They had a buffet going but they didn't have any tofu or tempeh options so I went for the green curry lunch special with tofu and mixed vegetables. I got a cup of jasmine tea as well. The food was brought out quickly and was very good. Maybe a little light on the tofu but it's alright. The rice was great but the green curry sauce was delicious. It also came with soup and a spring roll. I had enough to take half of it home for lunch. All that with an extra side of rice for my toddler was about $12 so not bad price wise. I didn't see any kid options on the menu so if you have a picky eater be warned. The service was good, everyone was polite and helpful. Seeing as I'm trying to eat a more plant based diet I think I'm going to have to make it a routine to get lunch here after my weekly Target run. read more

My son and I visited LemonGrass Thai Kitchen tonight and we were pleased with the food and the service. Pros; The coconut/tofu soup was delicious and the rolls were nice and fresh served with two different dipping sauces. Our meal arrived a bit later and was a very generous portion. We ordered chicken in a peanut sauce and it was, according to my son very rich and tasty. It was served with white rice. What a great option in the Bloomingdale area! I enjoy seeing the variety of vegetarian meals! Maybe I can alternate Lemon Grass with Acropolis... I welcome the addition and the change. The server was very friendly and fast. She even ran to the parking lot to deliver my leftovers that I had left on the table by mistake. Love the small outdoor area even though the restaurant is in a small strip mall by Bloomingdale. The place was clean and the food was definitely decent. Plenty of parking. Cons- the space seems vast and not cozy and colorful like most Thai restaurants in the area. The decor seems a bit mismatched and the small dining area offers no privacy. I suggest more authentic decor (vs some of the modern pieces on the wall) and partitions or dividers. A lower ceiling and/or some other type of drapery and or curtains to give the space more character and color. Heavy carved wood paneling will give it that Thai look. As well as fresh flowers. Another negative aspect is that in order to get to the strip mall, you have to do a U turn on Bloomingdale if driving from 301. Either that or turn on Providence.
