I hired Jeff 4 - maybe closer to 5 years ago to build me a pool in my backyard. It was just post COVID- and he had delay after delay after delay in finishing my pool- which I accepted, but I shouldn't have. He was completely incommunicado through all my requests for updates. Casually saying "that's the plan" when asked about when things were going to be done. He built me a nice lap pool- but disregarded the pool design by 3ft to the right. When I had my "as-built" survey completed that's when I learned from my survey company that my concrete pool was put in the wrong spot. My town of Westwood required a variance for his miscalculation and this jerk never helped with anything, but kept insisting this was routine. I paid him well in excess of $200,000 for my pool and he left me holding the bag. He is rude, arrogant and untrustworthy! Spend your hard earned money with a reliable and competent pool contractor and stay away from Aquatic Pool Management.

So thats the end, right? NO!!!!!!! They don't show up and when I call again, its my fault!!! So now we are two weeks and about $1500 bucks into getting this pool open and still no end in sight. But is that the end? NO!!!!!!! We were charged nearly $1000 bucks to replace 15 small tiles!!! Why? IDK....perhaps they flew artisans in from Italy. $2500 bucks....15 small tiles.....and a bowl of water I can not swim in.....do yourself a favor.....find someone that has some pride in their business, some sense of value for the customer, and frankly someone that will be around next year.......because these guys will go under and deserve it. We spent over a year trying to find a fair priced, communicative, and quality contractor who was even available to do the renovation work. We had ridiculously high quotes, quotes not itemized, blatant gouging, and folks who would not even return phone calls. Then we found Brian and Northstar Pools. From the first moments, I knew this was not your average NJ contractor. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, humble - and clearly held to their mantra of providing only caring and customer-focused service - but he really knows his stuff on top of that! His prices were fair and enumerated in detail, so I knew exactly what I was getting. But it took a couple of months while I did more research - and during that time he was ever so patient, answered all my questions, and helped me arrive at a plan that worked. Once work started, he and his crew worked very hard and efficiently to tackle this beast of a project. As I was juggling the logistics of the other related landscaping and electrical work (and not to mention the weather), Brian was super accommodating and patient in coordinating all the work with me. When the inevitable need for plan changes occurred - Brian took everything in stride to make sure I was satisfied. The DIYer and engineer in me forced me to ask a LOT of questions as work progressed (and I mean a LOT). Brian answered every single one of them patiently and professionally - even the stupid ones. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were clearly evident. He even crawled ten feet under the new liner he just installed to remove a few pebbles that had found their way underneath - on a nice hot August day no less. It has taken over 25 years to find an honest and truly KNOWLEDGEABLE pool service company that didn't charge me for unnecessary services. My pool heater stopped working in early July, Our then, former service company checked it out and said it was a leaking core therefore the whole heater needed to be replaced. 2nd opinion from a nationally recognized company said the same. Vision Pools was recommended by the heater manufacturer as a good service company in my area. They told me that their experience with Vision is always a good one. They came out assessing the problem and made a Simple repair after confirming that the heater was NOT leaking. Vision Pools wants to keep a client forever and to do this they do the right thing. A good philosophy. The service men are very nice and knowledgeable The owner, Keith, assessed the heater before he sent a serviceman. The office staff follows up as promised and always get our messages to Keith and calls us back.
