This is by far the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with . Poor performance, poor communication, and blame the customer for everything that goes wrong. They came to open my pool and did anything but. Dumped all of the debris on the cover into the pool and of course blamed us. Said they would come back to vacuum the pool but kept pushing it off. This is the second year they dumped the entire contents of the cover into my pool. I understand things happen, but when you make mistakes you should fix them. After being a loyal customer for nearly 10 years, I received the most horrendous customer service (including directly from the owner himself). It is astounding. and therefore requires a short novel in this review. I was given the run around for about two weeks for what should have been a routine service appointment to install a pool light. After a couple no shows/pushing me back on their calendar (without any communication unless I reached out), I checked in to ensure they were showing up for the third time, and again no feedback. After this absurd back and forth for nearly two weeks, the owner emails me that he has "concerns" with my service (NEVER COMMUNICATED THAT TO ME FOR THE TWO WEEKS SINCE PURCHASING the $400 light). *If there is a disconnect between an owner and his staff, that is THEIR issue, not the customer's. I immediately followed up with a thorough, polite, explanatory email (which I should not have needed to do) requesting directions on how to get this service call completed. Again, NO RESPONSE FOR TWO DAYS from the owner. I then returned the item, with not one word from the sales technician, which is quite telling. It was not until that moment, that I receive an email from the owner informing me that it was too risky to perform the service and that they returned the item with no problem. If there was ever an insincere communication that is nothing more than covering for completely awful customer service to a loyal, 10 year customer, who is also local to this business, this was it. 1) They had no reason NOT to refund the $400 light since I bought it from them while simultaneously being put on the schedule for installation but they later refused to install it, 2) I received ZERO communication regarding this matter from the day I purchased until my third request for a tech to show up to install it, (over a two week span). I would have never bought it in the first place had I been told ANYTHING at all from the tech or the owner. For those still reading, the first thing I communicated when purchasing the light was that I did not want to have any problems purchasing it first and was told that the owner would never do that and that I am a long time, local customer. (*OWNER, stand by your employees' communication with your customers.) I needed to have electrical work done prior to the service (using an electrician that THIS BUSINESS RECOMMENDED!), and was trying to be thorough, by showing him what was being installed after completely rewiring EVERYTHING from the timer connections, brand new outlet/wiring and pool box wiring. To express "concern" or "risk" is not only absurd, but shame on this owner for NEVER taking the time to ask me, or reply to my lengthy communication once he finally emailed me to let me know no one was showing up to perform the install that his techs scheduled me for in the first place. This needed to be a novel, and though his rebuttal may be anything associated with a risk, it is complete BS. I spent a small fortune rewiring everything and trusted that he would complete what his techs indicated they would. You do not stand by your employees or customers and you do not take the time to ASK anything. All you did was not show up, later email me that my service is risky, and then a pathetic email to pat yourself on the back for taking the return. It's a complete joke. read more

This was the most unprofessional and incompetent pool company we have ever used. We hired crystal clean pools to do a basic pool opening for the season and they left a mess in our pool. All the debris that was on our pool cover was in our pool. They said they would come back in a couple of days to vaccuum / clean however they did not. I had to call the office several times to follow up with them and they told me they would have someone come by within minutes of my call however they showed up hours later to do nothing. They sent me an email letting me know that other customers were more important and that they would close out my account to not further upset me. Zero people skills zero customer service. What good company does that? They could care less about my concerns. They never did their job to clean or vaccum the pool. They basically took our cover off and left a huge mess. read more

Perhaps it would have been easier if I had just read the negative reviews of this company prior to engaging them. I can not describe the lack of ownership and indifference displayed by the business owner (George) in managing what should have been a simple and straight forward service. Although we requested a weekly valet service that one would expect for $90 to include actually vacuuming / cleaning the pool - George said that it was at the technicians discretion - I wonder if the service isn't provided if the fee is up to my discretion - no is the answer. The technician was on property 12 minutes each week and only after we notice that the pool was dirty by the next day did we decipher it had not been vacuumed. While the bill was finally adjusted - George in his superior tone suspended service without notice and inferred that we had set out to discount his service - 100% wrong we just wanted a clean pool. Perhaps in his past life he was the CEO of IBM - however now he is just the lead of a haphazard pool service that can't do what is most expected - clean a pool. read more

kind of shocked at all the negative reviews. i am new to pool ownership, and when i moved into my new house they were extremely helpful in getting me set and ready to open my pool. they went so far as to show me how to open myself, but i always use them to close and for any mechanical issues. read more

I hired Crystal Clean Pools because they offered a cleaning service for my above ground pool and they could open it as well. They hookerd up faulty hoses that were leaking.They did not put the screws in the skimmer box( I found that out today with another company). When I called them back to fix this they tried to ge me to pay for their mistakes. They had to come back twice to fix the problem they caused. The hoses were still leaking! This weekend my chlorine dispenser broke. I callled them to come fix it. They said they would come out and I would be charged a service fee. I said of course! They came with no tools explaing someone from the company came and took the truck with the proper tools. Peter spent a great deal of time jury rigging the hoses explaining he needed something specail to fix the problem and would do so on Monday. I had to pay him for a service call even though he came with no tools to fix the problem. Monday comes and he told he can't manage to make it to me. He would call back in an hour to let me know when he would be coming. In the meantime I am unable to turn on my filter because of his jury rigging. Tuesday late afternoon I get a call saying he needed special parts and did not know when they would be arriving. I called another pool company today. They arrived within and hour and fixed the probelm immeadialty. I am diisappointed. He is a nce guy who clearly does not know how to fix pools. read more
