I had an excellent experience with Fabio and his team. I had been dealing with a persistent skimmer…read moreleak that had been bothering us for quite some time. Before finding Fabio, I had worked with two other pool companies that were either unable to identify the source of the leak, recommended services which were not needed, or were simply unprofessional throughout the process. It was frustrating, so it was a huge relief to finally find someone who knew exactly what he was doing. Fabio identified the problem, explained the repair in detail, and answered every question I had along the way - and I had a lot. He arrived on time and got right to work. The repair was extensive, as shown from the photos, as it involved excavating the concrete around the pool to replace the old skimmer with a brand-new one, as well as digging a trench all the way to the pool equipment to replace the old plumbing with new rigid lines. Throughout the entire project, his workmanship was outstanding. Fabio was patient, honest, personable, and never made me feel rushed despite the many questions I had. He also shared several great recommendations for future pool maintenance, which I really appreciated. Once the repair was complete, he also took the time to thoroughly vacuum and clean the pool so it was ready to be used. I appreciated that extra level of care. His pricing was very fair, especially considering the amount of labor involved and the quality of the finished result. After my experience with other companies, I can say Fabio is the real deal. I'm already looking forward to having him back for some additional upgrades I have planned for my pool and would recommend Fabio and Poolminator. An easy five stars!

ABSOLUTE SCAM ( I didn't want my general thesis to get lost in the body paragraphs)…read more I hired this company for a pool closing and new pool cover install. First, they scheduled and failed to show up on two separate occasions. Both times, I had to call the next day to figure out why they didn't show. Then, on the third attempt, the guy shows up with his two teenage kids to do the job since his coworker got sick. (Fine... it's a family business, I can understand it in a pinch) They install the pool cover and send me a bill that night for the remaining balance. The next day, I go outside to inspect the work and notice that they cracked one of my paving stones in half while working. (Again, I get it. Stuff happens. But they didn't even call to let me know) I confront them about the damage and their response is: "Oh, we were going to call and let you know but we forgot" We then agreed on paying the remaining balance once they come back and replace my paving stone. A few weeks pass and I get a nasty email saying, "we can't find a replacement stone, but you owe us money for the work we did." I decide to give them the benefit of the doubt. I pay them the remaining $600 and let them know that I found a replacement stone for them. As soon as they received my final payment, GHOSTED! It's been over a month now of me calling and emailing several times. No answer, and now I'm left looking for someone else to repair my brand new $10,000 paver patio Also, this is my first ever online review, and they are more than deserving of the honor

Pacific Pool & Spa was the only company who was actually able to come out and repair my spa. Many companies simply do not repair tubs and only open or winterize at the beginning/end of the season. Other places would only repair a tub that they specifically sold you. Some would not come because I didn't know the brand of my tub (it's an older spa and it came with my home). I was so happy when Pacific Pool & Spa said they would be able to help me. My hot tub was leaking badly (imagine a 400/500 gallon tub leaking out in about 45 minutes). I was worried how extensive the damage was and how much the repairs would be. I sent some photos of the spa to Julie and Roy and they assured me that not only would they get the job done, but also that most likely the issue was not a major problem. Because of their busy schedule, I had to wait ~6-8 weeks before their team was able to come to my home, but it was totally worth it. Once the men arrived it only took them about an hour to find the problem (a seriously cracked elbow joint) and then another hour to repair the issue and put the panels back on the tub. A few hundred dollars later and my tub is good as new and ready for the summer! Big thanks to Julie and Roy for helping me out. I hope we won't have any more issues in the future, but if we do I will know where to turn!
