I hired Pool Service of NJ LLC in May 2026 to repair winter damage to my pool and install a new…read moreliner. Here is what I personally observed upon inspecting the finished job: -- The structural repair to the damaged pool wall was made by hammering the wall outward and applying duct tape. No other repair material was used on the damaged area. -- The new liner had multiple visible creases across the pool floor, which became apparent once the pool was filled with water. -- The pool hookup and seasonal preparation, which were part of the agreed scope of work, were never completed. On June 2nd, I contacted the representative I worked with (Sean) via text and phone to share my concerns. I did not receive a response. I also spoke with a second representative (Chris) at the main business number, who agreed to come assess the work the following morning. He never showed, and further calls and texts to both have gone unanswered. I also checked the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs license database and found that the company's Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) license was expired at the time the work was performed. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. I am sharing this based solely on my own experience as a paying customer.

We contracted with Pool Service of NJ, Sean in late May to replace our inground pool liner. He…read morepromised to install it before July 4th, when we were expecting out of state guests. He didn't show up with the liner until July 11. Two of his workers were doing the installation. They demanded the balance of the money, or they would leave. I called Sean and asked why he needs payment before the job was finished. His reply was that he needed to pay his guys. We Zel'd over another 1500. They started the job at about 4:30pm, and left that nite around 8. The pool was filling but there was wrinkles in the liner everywhere. I called the installer and he said he'd be back the next day, he did come back, he came into our back yard, unannounced and took the blower that sucks air from behind the liner. Besides wrinkles, they didn't bother putting foam padding on the steps, and the liner covering the steps was loose and wrinkled. We still owed Sean a balance of 1500, and after many calls to complain, he finally sent someone over to fix the wrinkles, and install skimmer and return face plates. My wife paid the balance, but when she asked him about the steps, he said once the pool fills the wrinkles would go away. Now Sean no longer answers my calls or texts. We had to get another installer to fix Sean's shoddy work. Our pool is full now, but the wrinkles on the walls won't go away. Apparently Sean has no conscience, he's a poor business man and a crook. In my last text to him I promised that where ever I could leave a review, I will. SHAME ON YOU SEAN!!!! Stay far away from this crook!

I realized it would be priced a little bit higher because it was a lot of damage done over the winter to the pool. I kept waiting and waiting and texting them about every 2 weeks till I find out when he would give me the final price and when he could do it. It's now the end of June and I had the pool ripped out because I was tired of playing The Game. Never trust this man, he's not a man of his word. Never use him that's all I can tell you.
