My brother and I were looking for larger more substantial lighting to replace my parents old…read morelighting fixtures. The selection is very nice of higher end and larger 24inches in height exterior lighting. Now the place could be neater and cleaned up but the selection makes up for it. The layout is perfect with interior, exterior, etc organized and laid out so you can see them. What I appreciated more was they had the larger pieces 24" or larger also displayed so you have an idea of the difference between smaller exterior lights and larger ones. Our sales guy was nice and knowledgeable but should up his wardrobe to look more professional and not some street guy from Portland, OR selling wood carved fish...I know because I had reps in OR...Nice guy...The other sales person was female and dressed very business casual which is more appropriate. No stars off because this guy knew his stuff and it was a weekend...Regardless, improve the look. Good place for lights. Higher end but if you just bought a $15k+ dual door why would I want $200 lights to go beside it? Definitely the place to go for lighting that is not cookie cutter and plain.

Ordered and paid (in full) 2 light fixtures. We were told they should be in, in 2 weeks. After…read moreabout 4 weeks, I called to ask for a status on our order. After being put on hold, someone got back on the line and said they would call me back shortly. After 3 hours, I called back since no one called me back--I was told that David (salesperson who took our order) was on the phone and would call me back as soon as he got off. Needless to say, here it is over a week, and no call back--quite some phone call David must had been on . . . This place has lost all its creditability with me!

HORRIBE. I don't usually write reviews this long or get this angry, but this was one of the worst…read moreshopping experiences of my life. First of all I don't know what Furguson building that is in the photo, but it is definitely not the building on 835 Bloomfield Ave. Clifton. The one on Bloomfield Ave. is much smaller & has no double grand entrance like the one shown in the photo here on Yelp. This was our experience {my Husband & I}: You walk in from the bright sunshine outside into a very dark dimly lit store, so you are basically 'blinded' by that and your vison takes a while to adjust. Due to being temporarily blinded you don't see that there is a tiny little white sign the size of a sheet of paper in a plastic frame sitting on the corner of the reception desk telling you to 'sign in' if you want help. So you pass right by the front desk with your still blind eyes where you get a weak hello & nothing more from the front desk person. After that you wander around the store for an hour & do laps around it in circles waiting for someone to approach you to help you. No one does. No one bothers telling you about the sign or that you need to sign in. Every person working there acts as though they don't see you diverting their eyes, some will detour their direction to avoid you, but you know that they do see you. No one offers any help EVER. No one smiles, no one makes eye contact. So you decide to try again and go back a second time on another day because they have the products you are interested in, hoping for better results. THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. You still don't know about the sign or the sign in policy. After the second time of not being asked if you needed any help you finally ask the receptionist at the front desk for help. 'Ella' then seems confused & doesn't seem to know the products Furguson sells. She expected you to know more than she does herself about the products, and then becomes nasty when you don't. She is visibly aggravated when asked for her help. Another couple who had come into the store AFTER YOU DID comes up and asks Ella for help even though she was still 'helping' you. Ella gets up and just leaves you alone in order to go to help the other people. You call after Ella & tell her that you came in BEFORE the other couple. So Ella sits back down angrily and continues to attempt to look things up for you on the computer. The other couple comes back again to the reception desk and asks Ella "how can we get some help?" Ella then tells the other couple they had needed to 'sign in' when they first came in---THE OTHER COUPLE HADN'T NOTICED THE SIGN WHEN THEY CAME IN EITHER! So the other couple, who were visibly unhappy, leave the store in a huff without being helped. You tell Ella that the small 'sign-in' sign that they have there is very difficult for anyone to notice, & the proof is that the other couple didn't notice it either. Then Ella says to you in a very nasty tone of voice "I expect you to sign in and obey the rules in the future !!" . At that point this last comment form Ella about 'obeying the rules' {scolding you like a small child} puts you over the edge and makes you very angry, you explain to her you that you feel you were treated rudely and inappropriately and that you found her comment to be insulting and that her sign was NOT noticeable. And you are thinking to yourself, ISN'T IT THE RECEPTION DESK PERSON'S 'JOB' TO 'NOTIFY PEOPLE' AS THEY ARE WALKING IN THE DOOR THAT THEY NEED TO 'SIGN IN' FIRST IN ORDER TO BE HELPED?! Needless to say you DID NOT buy anything from Furguson of Clifton, and you don't plan to in the future. You would rather spend your money elsewhere ---anywhere else but the Furguson in Clifton {which is overpriced anyway}. It's a very strange place & the worst customer service EVER. And as a side note, they are in the business of selling things such as bathroom supplies, toilets, sinks etc. however their bathroom for customers use is FILTHY DIRTY. Not a very good image to portray if you want to sell bathroom fixtures....just sayin'.

Showroom is nice enough, however the Receptionist needs a class in customer service! She told my…read morechildren (who were quietly sitting) they could not sit in certain chairs in the showroom because the chairs were for customers! Hello Clueless Receptionist - We ARE CUSTOMERS! How is this place still in business??! It must be the markups on the poor quality products, mixed…read morewith the expensive contracts they get for outright poor jobs they do. I gave this business thousands- all regrettable life lessons learned. They lie to you. Sleaze their way into you paying up, with them delivering wrong information and extremely poor work. They even lied they showed up to my house, when cameras show no one in sight for hours. I did pool liner with them: started coming off and they blamed anything they possibly can (water itself, the liner they themselves installed, and, the funniest one, the last installer which was them). When they ask you who did the last work- say a competing business or you forgot, and watch how quickly they point out all the wrong things done even they're the ones that did it. Their warranty is bogus but they're smart about avoiding any actually quality work and follow up. Schedule will keep extending. Dates will keep changing. People will show up for 30-45 min and scam you. They'll make problems much bigger so they can come back and take more money. They don't believe your photos, videos, or what you are seeing in your own home. They always follow their made-up delusions. The people who make the decisions and you give your money mostly to are not the people who do the job, nor do they show up to see anything. You'll find an extremely rude, unprofessional, and liar of a person named Darlene working you through the phone. The mostly behind the curtain guy is Dan- he will talk his 30 years of experience with you to get you to believe, and of course take your money. You will lose your money. You will face more problems in your pool and system than you started with. You will be lied to. You will regret your decision to worth with these slimy people. Go elsewhere. Do it yourself. Order online. Anything but conduct business with this company of liars and deceivers. You work hard, so take it easy and give your money and time to a more deserving business. Monarch is not it.
