I don't know anything about this sort of stuff so he could have easily taken advantage of my ignorance. If I ever do have another problem, Mike will be my first call, and I would recommend him to anyone else who asks.

After the owner of the plumbing company came out and fixed what he needed to quickly and at a very reasonable price the worker from Arid came out to view the final phase of my problem. Patrick (the owner) gave me an appointment for his workers to install a sump pump. The first pictures are of the check valve portion of the project. The second picture is an extension installed by Mazzone to my check valve two feet below my basement floor. The third set of pictures are from the completed job by Arid. The workers from Arid were very polite and worked quickly and very effectively with a great deal of carefulness for my home and living spaces. Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

Six months later, we contacted them again, explaining we were ready to move forward, but that we didn't know what style we wanted. Steve said he'd been thinking about our home and had a unique idea in mind. We worked with him to design the concept, and Steve was wonderful the entire time. He took the time to explain to us how everything would come together, and to walk us through all of the material and design choices. He was also so friendly to all of us, including my mother in law and young children. He even had our little ones make hand prints and write their names with the date at the bottom as the final step! In the end, we LOVE our steps, and we get compliments from friends and neighbors all the time. We HIGHLY recommend Steve and his team at Exceptional Stone Products!

The crew came early on a Monday and were extremely hardworking and very polite. They seemed like a great team that really worked together. The job was finished in 2 days. We let the cement dry for a few weeks and noticed some cracking in the newly poured concrete. I called Jeffrey and he sent someone over to repair the cracks. A few weeks later some of the cracks re appeared so his guys came over and repaired them with a more flexible adhesive. It looks great, no more cracks and the pumps work well! We haven't had a drop of water in the basement since!! The value of the work was somewhat comparable to others, but they were able to remove old flooring and cabinets that were moldy! They also sealed wall cracks as well. I highly recommend this company.

I only write a review when someone does a terrible or terrific job. In this case it was American Eagle Waterproofing. They did an outstanding job installing their drain system around the entire 96 foot perimeter of her wet basement. For the estimate, Anthony (Papariello) walked and inspected the basement with me and as he did explained everything they would be doing - moving the washer/dryer/sink, dust covering basement items, cutting paneling for access to paneled walls, opening up the floor with electric hammers, digging below the footings, carrying all excavated material and paneling out to their dump truck, installing stone, drains, drilling weep holes, moving the existing sump pit, installing a new Zoeller sump pump, applying neutralizer and waffle board, and re-cementing the floor. We then went through the work and his literature item by item as he wrote a proposal detailing everything, including the terms and conditions and transferable lifetime warranty. I had 5 other waterproofing contractor proposals for the exact same work and Anthony's proposal checked every single box at a terrific price. Jeffry (Sandi) and his six-man crew came the following week to do the work. Jeffry again reviewed everything in detail and answered all my questions before beginning. I went down every so often to take photos and see how they were doing. I could not believe how labor intense the work was and the impeccable work ethic of his crew. They did a beautiful job and left the basement spotless and broom clean. Bottom line, the photos speak for the outstanding work from start to finish. Incrdible.

If you read other reviews, you'll find that their positive experiences mirrored mine. Without hesitation I would recommend Jersey Dry. If you want to know more about my experience, continue reading. Our house had basement water leakage caused by storms for decades before I decided enough was enough and began to research and search for a solution which was the installation of perimeter French drains. I was also apprehensive and cautious to identify the right company who was going to dig up the basement floor in a nearly 100-year-old house. Initially I was planning to interview three contractors and after the third visit I was perplexed by the differences in their proposals. Each recommended a French drain trench along the perimeter of all four walls, but there were differences such as the placement of the exterior discharge pipe, the location of the trench relative to the furnace, type of piping, and duration of work. Regarding piping, one uses PVC; another the flexible perforated, corrugated plastic pipe; and another a grate system with a rectangular plastic piping. All estimates were within a similar cost range. These differences led me to contact a fourth; that was Jersey Dry. Darek Snella provided a comprehensive explanation detailing the scope of work and an estimate for the French drain and two sump pumps. He suggested insulating and encapsulating a crawl space as a separate project. Frankly, that was a sound idea and something I hadn't thought about yet made perfect sense. At no time was there any sales pressure. The estimate was in line with the others. After I contacted quite a few of the provided references and heard lots of reassuring comments about Jersey Dry and Darek and Jerry, I called Darek and he returned to take exacting measurements and to video the specifics of the excavation work. A modest down payment was given and a start date chosen. On the scheduled day, Jerry and the crew promptly arrived. He is a master at his craft as are the team members. Jerry kept me informed on the progress of the work at the start and end of each day. To my surprise, there was never a mess or any dust infiltrating from the basement to upstairs. At the end of each work day, the area was tidied. The noise level was well below than anticipated. Neatness, communicative, friendly and concern - attributes that made the project go well. The crawl space was insulated, leveled and encapsulated, providing unexpected storage. A note about the discharge pipe. Our town doesn't permit cutting the curb to make an opening for the discharge pipe. One of the initial three contractors planned to extend the pipe to the street by cutting a section of the sidewalk and the curb. The other two planned on the outflow to end in the middle of the lawn. Darek (Jersey Dry) planned to excavate under the sidewalk for the discharge pipe and to end with a pop-up at the edge of the curb. No cutting of either the sidewalk slab or the curb. That's what was done and it works without a problem.
