Our hot water heater went and flooded the boiler room area. Giovanni of Casa Bella Contractor was a lifesaver. I'd called him as they've become my go to for a lot of emergency home repairs. Within a few hours a new hot water heater was installed and the old one was removed. Secondly, the hot water valve had gone for the washing machine and water leaked everywhere and even down to the finished basement. Definitely a lot of cleanup. Fortunately there was no damage. Giovanni came over immediately and replaced the bad valve within minutes and all was operating as normal. Now, this type of access isn't expected. It was a courtesy and it was last minute. However, it was after 9 pm when this all occurred. I'd say having a good relationship with your contractor is extremely important. Even if they can't perform the task, their resources as far as recommendations are invaluable. I'm just fortunate to have an all-in-one contractor. read more

I first called Giovanni to replace the disgusting carpet that was in my dining room (ugh it came with the house). I was thinking some kind of laminated wood, but he suggested real wood flooring as it would compliment other custom wood working I had previously done. I couldn't be more happier. The job came out excellent. The boards are nice and tight with no warping. To add a little extra flair, he added some contrasting trim around the base and first step. I was so pleased with his work, I called Giovanni a second time a few years later to replace all the windows in my house. He followed the strict guidelines from my condo association to get the proper work done. The windows came out great and were a definite upgrade to my previous ones. After the job was done, he suggested to brighten up my basement by adding multiple flood lights. The cost was agreeable. I plan to call Giovanni to completely finish up my basement in the future. EDIT: I finally called Giovanni to finish up my basement. Due to Covid, I need to work from home and was tired and distracted working out of my dining room table. I needed a proper work setup. I decided my basement would become my new office/lounge area. The basement needed to be framed out, insulated, sound proofed, sheetrocked, and painted. A section of the stairwell needed to be closed off with a small wall and door. Some duct work in the ceiling needed to be re-positioned. Two electrical outlets and light switch needed to be installed. Giovanni also suggested a few minor adjustments (like adding LED recessed fixtures rather than normal bulbs). Finally, install a luxury vinyl flooring. Giovanni and his crew came threw once again and I couldn't be more happier. It came out better than I expected and now I can well utilize this space. read more

We hired Giovanni to do our master bath and laundry room. We had him do a marble mosaic in the middle of the bathroom floor. It was very sloppy with the perimeter tile of the mosaic. It wasn't straight. Also, after he put down the master shower floor I asked him if he had the proper slope to the drain and he said yes. Later that night he texted me and said he has to remove the whole shower floor as he didn't like how it came out and had the nerve to make us pay for the material. He then has the audacity to tell me and my husband that when he comes to someone else's house he treats it like his own and if he makes a mistake he covers the cost. Such a hypocrite! After he learned that we didn't want him to do the other bathrooms he hasn't come back to seal the mosaic floor like he promised and he won't return my text. For someone who specializes in kitchen and baths, I am not impressed. read more

Casa Bella was fantastic. Gio and his team were honest, polite, clean, and straightforward. No surprises! He's transparent about his pricing and will meet your expectations. You get what you pay for and his work is worth the price! Highly recommend! read more

I had Giovanni and his crew renovate my kitchen and bathroom in my apartment unit in Jersey City. He does great work and I highly recommend him. He's very quick in getting the work done and followed up to take care of a few things I wanted taken care of afterwards. I didn't want to deal with building management so he took on the role of dealing with them directly to coordinate use of the elevators, dumpsters, work hours, etc. read more

Casa Bella just did a complete bathroom renovation from scratch, demolition down to the studs, and they did a fantastic job!!! I highly recommend Giovanni, its owner. Gio is so talented, he was able to architecturally find solutions to my small space constraints and his work and finishes are beautiful. He's an incredible painter, cuts precisely, very clean! The tile work is awesome. They were very careful about my house and covering everything and they cleaned up amazingly. He's extremely professional, dependable, honest, and gives a great price. And he's proficient on his smartphone and communicates immediately with emails, texts, and sends photos which I really appreciated while I was out of the house, at work. I would definitely hire him on my next project! 5 Stars!!! https://s3-media4.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/UtfxTACE--8u7kurZ5vlvQ/ls.jpg read more

I was referred to Giovanni several years ago when I was looking for a contractor to do a few smaller jobs in my home. Just as promised by my friend he was reliable, knowledgeable and extremely talented!! When we downsized into a smaller condo that REALLY needed work (I watch too many fixer up tv shows) my only thought was to have Giovanni tackle it-- THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! As promised they were there on the start date-he and his crew were there every day from 8-5 for 7 weeks and left me with a BEAUTIFUL renovation!! This company does ONE major job at a time and the work gets done as promised--I don't understand the few negative reviews--this team of contractors are amazing!!!!!!!! read more

LifeSaver! my crazy upstairs didnt know he had to change his ac filters which caused water to leak down from my ceiling. A friend of mine referred me to Casabella and thank goodness! Giovanni was quick to respond and come in to check the ceililing and realized there was water behind the wall as well. He quickly had his team cut out the wall because he feared there was mold and he was right! Everything was cleared out and fixed, Giovanni also advised us on what to do if we ever had another leak to prevent molding as much as possible. yay to no more mold! read more

I had a few quotes to paint my entire condo but I chose Giovanni and his team because of the reviews on yelp! They did an excellent job and I also updated my kitchen! I will upload pictures soon! They were on time early in the morning and they would always clean up before they left, very nice and respectful people. I would recommend them to all of my friends and my moms friends who are realtors in NJ! read more

This man took advantage of my 90-year-old father. Even went as far as signing a contract pretending it was my dad who signed it. He quoted us a much lesser price and then did a few more things in the house and charged more than double! He is a crook and not to be trusted. Not to mention he left and the shower he installed isn't working. Had to call someone else to fix it. I will be reporting him to the police!!!!! read more
