The House Band
Flora S.

Ten Stars!! What A FUN place for dinner!!! We picked this place on a whim based on the high reviews. We walked into an open concept restaurant that had a live band playing. Apparently it is the house band. And the owner is a singer. My husband got the filet mignon and I got the braised short ribs. We also got the chocolate cake and the carrot cake. The appetizer we ordered was the brussels sprouts. The food was exceptional! Everything tasted so fresh and was perfectly done. The portion sizes for the main course was perfect, the appetizers are very large, so you can definitely share them, And the dessert was huge. Now getting to the band and the atmosphere. The atmosphere feels like family and is so warm and welcoming. And the band was absolutely phenomenal! They did not have a set list and took requests so literally everything that they played was given to them by the audience. The band also has a steel guitar player who is in the steel guitar Hall of Fame! He was SO EPIC!! If you're looking for dinner and a show in a super fun place with exceptional food, look no further!! Come early and stay till they close! And bring all your friends!

Had a good time here. The prices were right, the food was decent, and there was live music that evening.

Three of us went. My friends loved it. The service was absolutely first rate. Maybe it was my choice of food, but I was underwhelmed. I had a chicken and rice bowl. It was lukewarm and probably resembled chicken teriyaki. We were there by ourselves, no one else at lunch. I would like to give it another chance because the service was so good. Aina (night time server working during the day) was really great. They were very accommodating to our very strict food friend. The ambiance is nice. I'm sure it's beautiful at night as well. I will definitely give it another go. Supporting local businesses is a must.

Our family of all ages had a blast! The food was good. The service was great and Elvis killed it! Fun to dance on the side with everyone.

Last minute dinner decision but we were so glad we stopped! They have a mixed menu of steaks, seafood, sandwiches and appetizers. I can't wait to go back and try their prime rib! We both had sandwiches ( French Dip and chicken sandwich. They also had a band playing country music on the stage and they were awesome! The service.. absolutely top notch. They said they have live music every night! Can't wait to go back!

I traveled to Arizona from California for a training and I wanted to take my trainer to a nice steak house. When I Yelped for a good steak place, Legends came up with extremely good reviews and I knew I had to check it out. We were immediately greeted and taken to our seats where we were greeted so warmly by our server, Winnie ("like Winnie the Pooh" she said). She asked for our drink order and we both decided on a Moscow Mule and when we took the first sip, we knew this place was going to live up to its name! We ordered an egg roll appetizer that Winnie highly recommended. She did not lead us astray! She even brought us a spoon to scoop the sauce into the egg rolls. Yum!! I ordered a NY Strip steak Medium which came out cooked and seasoned to perfection (high praise from me!) The steak was served on a bed of delicious masked potatoes alongside some of the best green beans I've ever had at a restaurant! My trainer had the French dip with tater tots and he said both were excellent! Winnie convinced us to get dessert (twist my arm) and we agreed to split a piece of the chocolate cake. It was heavenly! Not too sweet, perfect layers, moist and delicious! I can't recommend the chocolate cake enough! The ambiance was perfect! Perfect lighting and decorations and everything was so clean and comfortable! This place is a MUST GO if you are in the Phoenix area! I cannot recommend it enough! If Winnie is there, be sure to say hi!

Where do I even start? There are so many good things to say about Legends Showcase and their amazing staff! They've got free live entertainment nightly, plus fun events like brunch and wine pairing dinners. We recently went to the Halloween Wine Dinner, and it was such a blast! The atmosphere was lively, fun, and filled with great energy all night. As for the food -- everything I've tried has been awesome. * Shrimp Cocktail - Gluten free and the shrimp are HUGE. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly chilled. * Strawberry Salad - Delicious and super refreshing. * Prime Rib (12oz) - Only available Friday and Saturday while supplies last, and I'm hooked. This prime rib has had me in a chokehold -- tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly every time. * Espresso Martini - Smooth and strong, just how I like it. Sherry, the founder, is incredible. I love watching her perform - she's engaging, full of life, and you can tell she truly loves what she does. She makes everyone feel welcome and ensures guests are taken care of. The staff as a whole is excellent - they're attentive, friendly, and always making sure drinks are flowing and everyone's happy. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Great food, great music, great people - what more could you ask for? Can't wait to come back!

This place was great! My family and I were in town visiting relatives and decided to check Yelp for a good place to eat. After seeing all the great reviews, we decided to give this place a try, and we were definitely not disappointed! The food was delicious, and the live music was the cherry on top. All of the performers had beautiful voices and really added to the atmosphere. We had such an enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend this place to others!

I did not expect to walk into a 5 star dining experience but was pleasantly surprised to receive one; the staff (Winnie and Sherry) were amazing....and the food was good too! We were met at the door with a smile and a thank you for coming. Next, had our choice of sitting at the bar or in the dining area and chose a high top in the bar area. Minnie was very welcoming and offered some great advice on the menu and choice of drink. I chose a cold IPA and a fire burger, adding caramelized onions and upgrading to onion rings for an extra $2. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly at medium, not too spicy, and served on a nice fresh bun. Would definitely order it again. My buddy ordered the Philly cheese steak and said it was delicious. This place obviously knows how to prepare and serve quality beef. He chose tots as his side and were crispy and nice. The restaurant had a nice vibe and plenty of space for large groups or casual dining. Very clean, classy, and top notch service. We enjoyed sports on TV and videos of Neil Diamond and Jimmy Buffett as we felt compelled to take the microphone and join in. We really enjoyed Winnie and Sherry's hospitality and look forward to the next visit. Thank you!

First time here. The owner Sherri is remarkable. She is an amazing host. Our waitress Winnie aka Grandma was very attentive to our needs. She was very friendly. Sherri and Les sang and were excellent entertainment. The calamari tasted beyond good. Prime rib, mash potatoes with asparagus tasted so good. Just couldn't have enough. We ended our date night with carrot cake. Oh my goodness it was mouth watering. I highly recommend this restaurant!! You can't go wrong. You get exactly what you pay for. Above and beyond

Omg! How could I have not found this sooner? My friend booked a reservation for 6 of us and we had a blast! Elvis was amazing, along with Sherry. The food was great too, I had the chicken airplane. Yum!!! I really enjoyed the whole experience. It's a fun place to go to listen to great music, have a nice meal and sing your heart out! I am hoping to come back for a night of country music. A unique experience in Chandler, Az!

We honestly weren't expecting to be this impressed with the food! They also have fun themed cocktails, along with NA beer, which was a nice option. Isaac, the retail manager, greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. The way the games are organized into categories helped us figure out where to start, and the little staff-pick labels were especially helpful for narrowing down our choices. As casual players, we really appreciated that. We weren't looking for the newest competitive game or preparing for a tournament -- we just wanted to find something fun to play together, and the staff made that feel completely accessible. There's also a lot more here for people who are into RPGs, miniatures, tournaments, and tabletop gaming, so it seems like there's genuinely something for everyone. If you're a casual board gamer who has ever walked into a giant game store and thought, "I have no idea where to even start," I'd definitely recommend checking out Mox. The staff and organization make it surprisingly easy to find your way in.

This place has tasty food and amazing sips. My friend and I recently popped in here for Ladies Night. We only had sips this time around as our other friend wanted to meet up for cocktails too but I couldn't change our reservations so we had to leave shortly after. I had their Hera (Bayab Rose | Elicser | Grapefruit | Lime | Orgeat | Egg White | Rose Water), $17: It was a delightfully balanced drink with a perfect egg white froth on top. Great sips. Coming back, I was reminded why the first time coming here left me with a great impression. It's still a cozy spot though so I wouldn't recommend coming here with a large party.

She loves Alice in Wonderland. She was mistaken and thought it said Java not Kava. She thought Java Kava was a coffee lol So to my surprise when I get there, Kava is a dirt water that is very, very strong and pungent and not my cup of tea lol But besides that, this place is so hip and cool. The bartender was very, very informative and he let us know that they will give you your first dose of Kava for free to try it. I could not choke all of it down. My friend was a trooper goddess, and she choked the whole thing. I was so impressed by her I am very sensitive to things. I am a big baby sometimes so I did not drink the rest of mine because immediately I had a gag reflex going on lol So I did not drink the initial dose, but I ordered the Horchata beverage that had cover in it. And they have different doses, strengths and different styles of, so this is just what I ordered. It was the last light, on the menu he suggested for us. So even though I did not enjoy the Kava, it is not my jam. So they have trivia karaoke all kinds of stuff throughout the week and I could see this being a really fun place. So if you like Kava, you should really come here. It is very fun. After being seated, we began perusing the drink menus (they have an overwhelmingly amount of options) and I arrived on the "Smoke and a Smile" as my first drink. Taking in the environment as we awaited our drinks, I observed that this venue serves as an appropriate setting for either a date night or a night out with friends. Our drinks arrived shortly, in which we all expressed how delicious our selections were. So delicious that we all took turns passing our drinks around as if they were flight samplers. It kind of feels like forever because there's nowhere to go and could create a little bit of potential claustrophobia/panic for people who may be sensitive to those types of environments. The drink menu was good but I really wasn't wowed. They did offer three mocktails which wasn't really impressive and the cocktails did include a variety of liquors and flavor profiles but again, wasn't as extensive or interesting as some other speakeasies around town. The food menu was very disappointing - a lot of dairy and bread - pretzels with cheese, flatbread, queso with chips, and "rabbit food" - hummus with bread and vegetables. We asked to have all vegetables instead of bread and they did accommodate with a generous helping of full-size rainbow carrots and cherry tomatoes. We actually ran out of hummus before we could finish the vegetables. I understand elevated pricing for the aesthetic/experience but I did think the pricing here was a little bit high for what was received.

At the 45 min mark, we went the hostess stand, she was very apologetic, and seated us immediately. From there, we waited 15 min until someone gave us menus, another 15 until our order (2 chicken Caesar wraps + pumpkin pancakes) was taken. 45 min after ordering, our food still had not arrived. I flagged down a waitress, who rushed out some pancakes within 10 minutes. We waited 20 min before I flagged down another waitress to ask about the wraps, to which we were told they had to cook more chicken for the chicken Caesar wraps. The pumpkin pancakes were quite tasty, although on the smaller side. After receiving the chicken Caesar wraps, the chicken was cold, and therefore in fact not delayed because it was being cooked. My friend had hard, edge pieces of chicken (almost like jerky), and sent the wrap back. I saw other tables experiencing the same slow service. One table only received their drinks, no one came to take their order, and they ended up notifying a waitstaff they were leaving. Honestly, the slow service, forgetting to put our orders in, and then the inconsistent quality of food made the experience fewer stars than rated. The manager did comp the pancakes and the inedible chicken Caesar wrap, but even so, I would currently not recommend Born & Bred to anyone until these items are addressed.
