This is a bit more for the tabletop gamer, as that's a lot of what they have now, but they did have a good selection of comics, just put away more than the games that take a lot of the display area. The comics were there but were more in drawers, and they had cute comic characters of each alphabetical letter drawer (like Wolverine on the W drawer). Very clever idea! Another cool thing is that a lot of the decor they have around the store is dragon-themed, sticking with their name of the Dragon's Lair. They also didn't have as many figurines and pops as a few other comic shops we've been to (though they do have a handful). They more have the gaming dice, Warhammer figurines, and games like Settler's of Catan etc. The staff was more helpful at this location vs. the one out on 144th and Center, where they kind of act annoyed when you want to actually buy something and they have to ring you up LOL So If you're looking for a new game or interested in collecting Warhammer figurines, this would be great for you. If you're on the hunt for a certain comic book, they may have that too, but it's not the main focus anymore like I remember it being when I was a kid.

There was a tournament going on in one of the back rooms, so it was a bit busy, but the folks working still helped us find certain things we asked about and were happy to do it. They have a ton of current comics, as well as lots of vintage comics, which was what we were on the hunt for (and found!) Aside from the main shop and the back room for games/tournaments, there's also a little side room that has toys, collectibles, and comic book sets (like all issues of a certain run, bundled together). Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you're on the hunt for a certain comic, figure, or game. It just felt like the people here enjoyed what they do and like helping collectors find what they're looking for, sincerely wanting you to have a good experience at their shop and come back (which we will!)

All successful shows before they sold them off. There were several top artist attending including Johnny Giang, Chrissie Zullo, Ryan Kincaid, The Janimal, Chris Giarrusso and Mog Park. Several vendors selling all kinds of merch. There was a cool panel that was pretty good too. Sketch Up had 3 artist doing free sketches for the attending audience. Many were funny and exciting to watch. Hearing their stories of their careers was quite entertaining. A drink and draw Friday night was open to anyone. After each round they are rated by a group of judges awarding prizes. And as the night grew so did the art into something else. Cosplayers were in attendance but were not a big part of the show. That could change in future dates. It did not stop them in bringing their best to flaunt infront of all those around. And there were several show stoppers. If you do have a chance to attend I do recommend especially now. Prices are low and I don't believe that will stay.

The name doesn't really tell you they're a comics/collectibles store, and you sort of think it might be a video or music store. I'm glad we investigated and saw their actual genre, which was something we are super interested in - COMICS! The attendant we spoke with was very nice and helpful when we were trying to find certain issues (for our Wolverine collection). They had comics from many different era; new books. classic issues, graphic novels, and even a kids section. We definitely spent a long while thumbing through all the comic boxes and looking at the display walls. This store is very well stocked with all the latest from LEGO, whether your favorite theme is Marvel Superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Ninjago, DreamZz, Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Minecraft or Disney, you're bound to find something interesting. Prices are all full retail, but there are a few sets on reduced sale in the floor bins, if you poke around. I picked up a Star Wars ARC-170 starfighter, but what I really wanted was the $500 Marvel Avengers Tower, but it would have been a little unwieldy to wrestle it onto the plane.
