There was a tournament going on in one of the back rooms, so it was a bit busy, but the folks working still helped us find certain things we asked about and were happy to do it. They have a ton of current comics, as well as lots of vintage comics, which was what we were on the hunt for (and found!) Aside from the main shop and the back room for games/tournaments, there's also a little side room that has toys, collectibles, and comic book sets (like all issues of a certain run, bundled together). Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you're on the hunt for a certain comic, figure, or game. It just felt like the people here enjoyed what they do and like helping collectors find what they're looking for, sincerely wanting you to have a good experience at their shop and come back (which we will!)

They had lots of cute decor, just like the Ralston location - like a giant Spider Man statue over the cooler, lots of decals of comic logos along the wall behind the counter, and my favorite thing - a little knitted monster box holding their D20 dice for sale. The attendant behind the counter when we checked out had a half-hour conversation with my husband about CGC grading and his experiences with them, which was very nice that he took the time to answer my husband''s questions. Me who was only there to help support a friend on trying to find a specific issue of a comic was trying to be friendly and make small talk with the employee and explain to them that I was considering on grabbing One Piece cards since I am over 1000 episodes into the show. Immediately I was asked "are you going to play the game or are you only collecting them for pretty cards?" Then proceeding to be told that they advised me to not buy any since I wanted to collect them and didn't care to play the game. These type of people are ruining the collector community and driving people (like me) who aren't interested in scalping and actually want to get into a new hobby away from it. I will say there was another gentleman who actually went out of his way to help my buddy look for the comic book he was looking for and was extremely helpful! However I will never be stepping foot into this business ever again since it seems like they don't want my business and they were terrible to deal with.

They immediately offered to call the other location to check if they had the first 3 books in stock. Once they confirmed the other location had them they arraigned to ship to this location and added my name to a file so that when any of the newer comics in that series come out they will them aside for me. A great 1st edition show focusing on comics and comic art. The show is being promoted by the same…read moregroup who started up Emerald City, Rose City and Vancouver Expo and others. All successful shows before they sold them off. There were several top artist attending including Johnny Giang, Chrissie Zullo, Ryan Kincaid, The Janimal, Chris Giarrusso and Mog Park. Several vendors selling all kinds of merch. There was a cool panel that was pretty good too. Sketch Up had 3 artist doing free sketches for the attending audience. Many were funny and exciting to watch. Hearing their stories of their careers was quite entertaining. A drink and draw Friday night was open to anyone. After each round they are rated by a group of judges awarding prizes. And as the night grew so did the art into something else. Cosplayers were in attendance but were not a big part of the show. That could change in future dates. It did not stop them in bringing their best to flaunt infront of all those around. And there were several show stoppers. If you do have a chance to attend I do recommend especially now. Prices are low and I don't believe that will stay.

The shop is super well laid out and not cluttered and hard to shop, like a few other comic/collectible places we have been. As soon as we walked in, the attendants behind the register were so excited to welcome and help us find anything we needed. They came out to answer questions, and helped my husband find key issues he wanted (so we left with a lot of loot LOL) Aside from all the great comics, they also have collectibles, like plushies, Funkos, figurines etc. as well as a little spot for kids to play while their parents shop. They are called Legend Comics and COFFEE, and I was more interested in the coffee than the comics so I stopped in to the cafe while my husband perused everything. I got the Golden Caramel Latte, and it was extra delicious - not too sweet but still a little hint of the caramel to give you that sweet taste. My husband wanted to get a drink that was chocolatey, but without coffee. I asked the barista at the coffee shop if they had anything like that, and he actually made me something special on the spot. It was a frozen chocolate milk, and my husband went wild for it. I don't think it's on the menu, and was made impromptu, but you may be able to ask for that, if you want to try! There is a lot of seating at the cafe and also around the comic shop, including little benches, if you want to sit and pore over your potential purchases or if you're waiting for someone to finish shopping. The name doesn't really tell you they're a comics/collectibles store, and you sort of think it might be a video or music store. I'm glad we investigated and saw their actual genre, which was something we are super interested in - COMICS! The attendant we spoke with was very nice and helpful when we were trying to find certain issues (for our Wolverine collection). They had comics from many different era; new books. classic issues, graphic novels, and even a kids section. We definitely spent a long while thumbing through all the comic boxes and looking at the display walls. Stop here for sure, if you're a comic collector and happen to live near or be driving through Lincoln!
