I found everything I needed. I had no idea that your stores carried so many lamps. Different sizes, colors of hardware and woods. I'm pretty sure everything I bought was on sale. The cashiers are very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. It was Christmas and very busy! Whoever was managing was doing a great job! Plenty of cashiers open to help all of the people in line. I honestly thought to myself "UGH!" When I saw all the people and lines but I found exactly what I wanted and didn't wait longer than a couple minutes to check out. Since we moved to the Council Bluffs area nearly 10 years ago - I would spend HOURS looking and dreaming at Hobby Lobby, especially since my husband was working evenings and I had nothing to do and didn't know anyone. Employees were friendly and helpful. It was fun because if you wanted something, you could either wait until it went on sale or use the 40% off coupon. If I wanted multiple items, I would be in the store several days in a row to use my coupon. Now the 40% off coupon is gone, I believe the quality is no longer as good as it used to be on many items, and I have to agree with other reviews - employees are actually more than rude! I was going to ask where to find something on a recent trip to Hobby Lobby - there were 3 employees standing in an aisle having a non-work conversation. Since they would not let me through the aisle, I had to go around and was CERTAINLY NOT interested in asking them a work question in fear of what the answer would be. Have purchased many diverse items at H L since it opened. On last visit was told there was a price guarantee on items I purchased since they would be on sale the following week. When I asked for the refund from new sale price, another clerk told me that was not store policy. I had to return the first purchase. Frustrating experience. read more

Hobby Lobby has a lot of cool stuff, it's not just for people who scrapbook or do crafts. Since my wife does crafts, makes gifts, and does scrap booking, I find myself in Hobby Lobby every couple weeks or so and find something new and cool every time I go. We went a couple days ago and they had this really cool, small bicycle that you place in your garden and it had room for three potted plant- it was just neat. it was probably worth the money at $84 but we didn't want to spend that much on it. All in all, a very cool store that has a lot of hard to find items. The 40% off one item coupon that they always offer on their website definitely helps! read more

The cashiers pull sneaky moves And always ask the person behind you that's been waiting in line the shortest if they would like to be next and then open a register, they will argue with you over an ad that you are both staring at, but their merchandise and sales are unbelievable!!! read more

From decorative signs to scrapbooks to paint accessories and fabric, this place has everything! If you are the crafting type this is your dream come true. They have a daily 40% off coupon that you can use on any regular priced item. Throughout the rest of the store there are discounts on everything daily too up to 50%. You can't go wrong finding items you might need here. On top of all this, the staff is really friendly and very helpful. The Hobby Lobby ad comes out every Sunday, and almsot half the store will be 30-40% off. My wife loves this place. She is there at least 3 times a month,if I took pics of the stuff she buys there, our walls are lined, forget the fact she is planning our Daughters wedding right now so lets go 6 times a month for the last six months, the wedding is still 4 months off, She is hand making bouquets. Don't get me started. She goes in today. comes home and says that was expensive, but she was good. I said let me see the receipt. they charged her $160 for a $16 piece of wood. she took it back to store. Veronica the manager made it right. I called Veronica when the wife got home. I said if I had not pushed it you would have had a extra $140 of our money & you didn't even offer her $5 gift certificate for gas & trouble. she said no & hung up. NOT GOOD BUSINESS! How do you just say oops. This was not a just a couple bucks & our time is worth something too. I guess they hire their managers from McDonalds or their Company doesn't care. Been in before and always had great help from the non-management employees. However, this time when I finally found someone to ask for help, I to wait for the conversation to end with their coworker first. When they finally turned to me, she went from smiling with the coworker to a not so friendly face towards me. As I was asking my question I noticed her gold (and not blue) name tag said MANAGER on it! Shouldn't they be the ones setting an example? Love this place, prices can be a bit high but you always find what you need. Great for crafty people, but they also sell a lot of home decor especially Christmas decor. I love their fabric section the most, and the sales are amazing. Things I have made from shopping here: Halloween costumes Tutu's and Tutu dresses Headbands and hair clips for kids and babies. I will never buy anything from the store that does not respect their customers. The trust has been broken. My story is worthy of a Seinfeld show. I bought 5 cookies a day before Easter. We had a company on Easter and every kid got a cookie! Cardboard, plastic tasting, mud pie texture and color inside with seasonal bitter frosting on the outside. All went into the trash, except one. I needed the sample to take to the store to show the product they sold. The co-manager of the store told me I have to have ALL COOKIES to get the refund on them. At that point he could only give me just one cookie refund. The repetition of the explanation that cookies were horrible and inedible did not work. I did not take the refund on ONE cookie. Let the store make their payroll. They lost my trust, my shopping power. $1.45 cookies multiplied by 5 minus 40% fast sale discount is not worth it if JUSTICE IS NOT SERVED.
