I was floored at the amount of Husker stuff in this store, I didn't even think of some of the things they have. Clothing, winter gear, mugs, koozies, games, grilling gear, a whole realm of t shirts, men's, women's, children, babies, dressy, casual, you name it! Husker Hounds is a Husker lover's dream - they have anything and everything Huskers! You want a Husker corn cob drink koozie? They have it. Husker landscaping rocks? They have that too. Pet beds so Fido can support Husker Nation with you? You bet. They obviously have the standard football Husker items too like jerseys, hats, and collectibles, but that's not as fun as the odd ball items you can get Husker-fied. You can also get some things for the actual games too, like corn hats, stadium seat cushions, foam fingers, and even tickets in their ticket exchange program. Now is Husker Hounds the cheapest place you can get Husker items? Absolutely not (when you have Husker stuff sold at Hy Vee and Target, etc). But it's the novelty of having it all in one place where you can peruse and try things on. Husker Hounds is seriously the BEST place for Husker gear. Growing up, this was where we always stopped, and now when we go back on vacation, we always try to take a trip through. The place is PACKED head to toe with Nebraska gear you didn't even know you wanted -- from fan collectibles like autographed balls, to all the clothing you could ever want, home goods, and everything else and the kitchen sink (don't quote me, but there might be a Husker kitchen sink available to purchase at this store - I'd believe it!). I picked up some new gear for me and the kids, as well as some kitchen potholders and a new car decal on my stop through this time. Staff is super friendly, there is plenty of parking and everything you could ask for. It can be pricey, but shop the clearance sections for great deals. Enjoy! read more

I actually hate football and most other sports. But I thought it was so cool to have a stand alone building representing the state football team. They have everything that you can put a logo on. I bought the standard mug with a person's name on it. A onesie for a newborn. The coolest pair of sunglasses I ever bought, no glare and bright. Potholders of all things. A pen.They wrap everything up so carefully. Maybe it's that red is one of my favorite colors, but I loved it here. A real fan would lose their mind. read more

This place is a lot of fun and jam packed with everything you could possibly want. I was taken here by a local on a recent trip and bought a ton of stuff (had to have them ship it to me as it wouldn't fit in the suitcase). I went into the store today around 2:15 in the afternoon. Three girls were working in the store. There were zero customers besides myself. The first employee was folding shirts and looked at me when I came in but said nothing. I said hello and she said hi. I walked through the entire store and then passed the two girls at the cash register who were talking to each other. Not one single person asked me if I needed anything. All of the shirts that I wanted to see were up so high that I couldn't reach them or see the price tag. Nobody asked me if I needed any help. Nebraska, it's not for everyone read more

WOW--I don't know why I even tried to buy husker stuff anywhere else?! This place has everything! And when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING! They have t-shirts, hats, shot glasses, water bottles, garters, neckties, and probly a million or two million other things husker. The store is a little on the small side for the amount of merchandise they have. There's no way you could even push a cart in there if they had them! The people who work there are really nice, though and I will definitely come back here if I need something else husker. read more

Five stars because they have IT ALL for a Husker fan! If it's your first time-you will be overwhelmed and spend some time here. There are items you didn't even know you needed or had to have. And their clearance section is decent too. It's packed in there so if it's busy-I can't even imagine being packed in like sardines because there's just so much merchandise. It wasn't busy today and it was still difficult to move around. There are fitting rooms so you don't have to try everything on in front of the mirrors and the store is divided into sections: men's, women's, baby, big and tall, maternity, etc. It's a fun place-and should be visited from out-of-towners and locals! read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find some great deals on Nebraska gear while home for the holidays. The place is pretty jammed packed with all sorts of Nebraska gear and items. Feel free to browse around. The sale rack was a nice surprise with $5 and $10 items. My reasoning for the 4 instead of 5 stars. We really didn't get any help at all while in the store. The staff stood around talking to themselves and just pointed to where something was instead of helping with finding a particular item. $36 for a flimsy ass shirt made by the youth of China? I don't think so, fellas. Not only are their prices outrageously con artistic, but the customer service is equally as pitiful. I did buy a couple 3'x5' flags from this place, and after that disgusting instance of financial sodomy, I can guarantee they will not get another dime out of me. The store itself is so jam packed with cheaply made crap, you can't even navigate around, especially if there is a fair amount of people shopping. I think I had to say "excuse me" a dozen times, which brings me to the clientele. What a bunch of idiots that shop here. How long do you have to hold a shirt in front of your face before you decide if you want it? Apparently two minutes is not sufficient. I am guessing she was so appalled by the price tag that she was looking for a treasure embedded in the fabric. Why the hell do you have to take Husker logo golf balls out of the package to determine if you want to buy them? And what could possibly be wrong with the balls after you take them out that made you decide they were unworthy of purchase? I also got stuck behind a genius in the checkout line that proceeded to ask a million irrelevant questions to the clueless cashier. She finally stopped responding "I don't know" and was forced to give a death glare to the customer to stop the madness. By the time it was my turn for a good ol fashioned fiscal gouging, I couldn't wait to get my receipt and get the hell out of there. This store is so frustrating. I bought a watch here last year and took it to the West Coast for a gift. It didn't work and it was too much trouble to take it back and complain. Today I brought in a return of something that was overcharged that my sister from the West Coast bought when she was here on vacation. It was such a ridiculous price error that she even paid to ship it back here to get the refund. Since it was 3 days past their 30 day cutoff, they would only give me instore credit for her. I don't even want to go in here again cause I feel ripped off every time we do. We will probably eventually use the instore credit - but that's about all I want to do with these guys! read more

Shopping at Husker Hounds was a terrible experience. The prices are high and there is so much in the store that it's hard to navigate. I had my baby with me and the other customers were so rude, they refused to move out of the way even when I said excuse me. One lady came and started looking through the one side of the rack I was looking through making it difficult to see anything. Plus they have employees watching over you like you are going to steal something. I have never seen ruder customers ANYWHERE. To sum it up, go somewhere else, not worth the hassle. read more

Was amused by a review article posted two years ago, wherein the guy, Josh, ripped HH, up one side, down the other; for everything from the shirt price to all of us who frequent the store. His was an entertaining perspective which I sometimes relate to, as an occasional *, myself. HH; however, provides decent overall opportunities to shop; offers ticket sales at donor face value; and donates to my Alma Mater. As a Husker store, this store is great. It has everything you would need. HOWEVER, the staffing and overall experience with the workers was horrifying. I was there to find something to wear for formal pictures my wife was having us take. Asked for help since there is a ton of options in the store. The staff just took me to a giant section and blew me off. No help whatsoever. I needed something down from above. After asking 3 times for help, I ended up having to get it down myself. Then I noticed the owner was there. I was going to try to have a word with him, however his angry posture and rude attitude showed me differently as he stormed off into a private room. I was near their registers while I was looking around and overheard some employees. They were trash talking customers, making fun of the way they talked and what they were wearing. No point in asking for a manager because there are about 6 different ones, (which is pretty much every employee they have), all of which do not provide any help in any way. The lack of customer service was atrocious, although the fact that it is $35 for one t-shirt is also pretty pathetic as well. My experience here was absolutely gruesome. I will never bring my business back to this store again. I would rate 0 stars if I could. read more
