About 40 minutes later, I finally made it to the checkout (because I'm extremely indecisive about things haha). The cashier (I wish I got her name), was very helpful in assisting me with setting up a rewards card. Also, given the fact that the two pairs of shoes I purchased had white sections, she recommended a protection waterproof/stain remover spray to apply to the shoes frequently. She explained where it was on the shelf by the door and I ended up buying a can. Some people may view this as an "up-sale" tactic made by those who are in the sales industry. However, I didn't feel any pressure into buying the extra item. She mentioned after I had brought up the concern of the shoes being white, and then she provided some helpful information. Overall, all the employees at this store were very helpful, attentive, and committed to assisting if needed.

They have lots of cute clothing from small to sizes to plus sizes. I am absolutely thrilled that I heated my sister's advice and visited the store. Its now my new favorite place.

Asked my name for my room and wrote it on the door. Fitting rooms are sanitized after each use. I tried on a few pair of jeans. Decided on 2 and saw a small area of discoloration so went back to find another pair. Sales associate asked if I needed help. I explained the discoloration and she helped look through the straight leg style with me. She said it looked like a bad batch of jeans as we found a few pair with the same flaw. She pulled them off the shelf and thanked me more than once for showing her. She offered to order the style, size and color online for free delivery to my home. I agreed. I had done this before with quick turn around.

My son recently started getting into hockey, and we went there hoping to get some help with skates and gear. Unfortunately, it was clear pretty quickly that the hockey department just doesn't have staff with much hockey knowledge. Whether it was skates, sticks, or general equipment questions, there really wasn't anyone who seemed confident or experienced enough to help. The most frustrating experience was when we purchased skates and were told they had been sharpened by the Scheels staff. After my son had a very negative experience on the ice, we took the skates to a rink, and the staff there confirmed the blades had not actually been sharpened. That kind of thing makes a big difference, especially when someone is just starting the sport. If you're serious about hockey equipment, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that specializes in it. Prices are very competitive elsewhere, and the staff actually care and know what they're doing. Pure Hockey on 72nd is absolutely worth the trip. Scheels does a lot of things well, but hockey just doesn't seem to be one of them.

We have always had a pleasant service experience in our STL store, even if we do not make a purchase. My wife wanted to make a purchase, but we decided against it and will order it online or get it in STL.

I bought a few of their polo-style…read moreshirts and even with a gently cycle wash and hang-to-dry (as recommended by the store), they still fray and eventually have small holes in the material. These are $60.00 shirts that can only be worn and washed 5 - 6 times at best. The Buckle won't exchange them because by the time you wear them 5 or 6 times, they are "too old" VERY CONVENIENT!!! - Usually when a store has solid proof it's their product, they are fair and exchange for the same product They won't! won't ever go to the Buckle again, and recommend you don't either!
