It's a small store, jammed with a variety of tops, skirts, dresses, jeans, purses, shoes and accessories. The prices are on the higher end (for those of you who shop at Target), but within reason (I thought so, anyway). If hate giant departments stores (me), are on the lookout for something a bit different from the mall shops (me) and you're a woman who wears a size 12 or less, then you might want to give this place a go. I know, Papillion isn't exactly the mecca of high fashion in the Omaha area, but there's a little jewel downtown that's worth a visit. It mostly sells women's clothing that one might call a bit more "hippy", but you can also find a nice selection of incense and random gifts. For example I found a cool looking Dalek made out of random pieces of metal. Keep in mind though the Old Market is a tourist stop so the items here cost more than what you'd find else where. I do think the employees are bit stand offish but to be fair they probably see a lot of weirdos everyday. I was able to find all local products without hopping from store to store including honey, candles, baker's chocolate candies, magnets, t-shirts, and so many other amazing Nebraska-made items. The shop itself is adorable and welcoming, and it feels really good knowing that every purchase supports local makers and businesses. I like to find these little shops where I can find a piece or two to mix up my wardrobe (otherwise, I look like I mass order my outfits from Gap). One time I brought in a Michael Kors bag and they turned it down for "staining." The kicker? I brought in the exact same bag a week later and they bought it. How does that make sense? Most recently, I waited over 2 hours just to be told they wouldn't take anything -- even jewelry, which one of the employees admitted she wanted to buy but was told not to. So it's not about quality, it's just random. Meanwhile, you'll see plenty of similar or worse-quality items on their racks. If you're going to run a resale shop, at least be transparent and consistent with what you accept. Otherwise, you're just wasting people's time.
