We had just been to visit the Ground Zero in Ralston, which was a true gem - so decided to visit this location when we were in the area. This one was just as great, in its own way - with so many comics to flip through, Funko Pops to peruse, and games and dice for the tabletop gamer to stock up. They had lots of cute decor, just like the Ralston location - like a giant Spider Man statue over the cooler, lots of decals of comic logos along the wall behind the counter, and my favorite thing - a little knitted monster box holding their D20 dice for sale. The attendant behind the counter when we checked out had a half-hour conversation with my husband about CGC grading and his experiences with them, which was very nice that he took the time to answer my husband''s questions. DONT NOT GO. Guy was completely rude from the second he spoke. His demeanor was the worst part I would never sell or Buy anything from him. He didn't even let me finish a sentence cause he had to add a rude comment. He gives me narcissistic vibes he had to be correct and all their comics are over priced and wanted to really low ball on buying. read more

This place would rather sell items at 10% above market and be rude about it than just simply give a reasonable response. We know how much you get cases of booster boxes for ;-) and selling it above retail should be enough, but I get it, you're probably not getting enough business due to my initial statement and you need to sell above market to recoup losses. Good luck! Won't be coming back here... EVER. Avoid this place at all cost. He'd rather yell "because I'm not going to" when asked to sell at market and I probably would have bought 2 ($160 boxes) but now I hope they collect dust on the shelves. Nice comic shop with a wide selection of goods. Staff was friendly to both regulars and newcomers and they have some decent sales as well. Note: When I mapped this using Yelp "Get Directions" it took me very close to the shop, but I still had to walk around for a bit to try to figure out exactly where it was. read more

I have been coming here since the 90s. It has changed over the times but they still have good comic selections, RPG materials, board games, card games collectibles and space to play games. The owner allows us to come in and play games on the weekends and other groups do as well at different times in the week. Snacks and drinks are available and reasonably priced for those gaming. Seems to be decently priced for boardgames at least and RPG materials as well. read more

These people were not helpful at all. We asked if they had a particular item. They pointed to an area in the store and then disappeared. It was as if we were disrupting them and their activities. They never checked back in with us. We had heard this might happen. We went anyway hoping it wouldn't, but it did. It was an unfortunate experience for our first, and last, visit. read more

Selling booster boxes for 50% ($107, online avg is $70) over other listed prices. Sucks that I used to go here as a kid and now mine has to get his stuff online instead of fair and reasonable prices. You would think with over 30+ yrs in business it'd be worth going to still. When I told the owner that others were selling it around that price he snarled and gave no insight on why it was so much. The guy who runs this comic store has earned my business. I have three kids that I have taken into his shop. He will take his time with each one of them and happily answer there questions. I would recommend this place because of him but beware, he will cost you more then you intended to spend. read more

We stopped by for a quick visit. We did not buy anything, but the pricing seemed to be inline with most other comic/pop culture store. Their inventory leans much more heavily on comics and board games than say Krypton comics, but that's not a bad thing. They have a good selection of comics and graphic novels, while they have a focused selection of board and card based games. There were also pop culture related toys and memorabilia and some video games. Overall, it's a solid store. read more

I first started shopping at Ground Zero Comics in Bellevue when they first opened in 1986 over on Harlan. Other shops have opened and closed in Bellevue since that time, but GZ still keeps going along. They have the best selection of comics, cards, toys, and statues around. read more

Best comic and game shop in town. Owner is very friendly and has always gone out of his way to get the items I am looking for. This is also the best place to go play Magic on friday nights. They even have started selling retro video game stuff which brings back good memories from my childhood. read more

I've been going to GZ for more years than I should probably ponder. Always gotten great service and the owner often recommends to me new books that follow along with what I typically read and/or would likely be something that I'd be interested in based off artist or writer. More often than not I end up reading and liking what he's picked. I'm pretty sure he's psychic and/or planning on taking over the world by mind controlling one person at a time. read more

I had purchased several comics there and some vintage toys. Lately the staff has been nasty and rude, three times now, one of which was when my son present. Now I buy from all the other comic stores and not this one. Even though Ground Zero (Ft Crook) is much closer I would rather spend the gas money and go somewhere I will be treated with respect. read more

Nice little place here. I haven't been to a lot of comic stores but the ones I have been to my experiences haven't been great. I know what I am getting in to going to these places so I don't expect mind blowing customer service or warm greetings when I enter. That being said I don't care to be treated as a fool or mocked with passive aggressiveness either; which sadly is the case most of the time when you aren't a "regular". I am not up to speed with all comic characters nor do I play RPG games. I like the big ones batman, superman, walking dead etc. Walking in here I with my 8 year old and his friend I was greeted with a hello and get this a smile. We browsed around for a bit and the gentleman came up and asked if we were looking for anything in particular not rudely but in a helpful manner. I asked him were certain things were and he politely showed me. He engaged in small talk about a subject matter and comic book series. It was very helpful and I felt perfectly comfortable taking my time browsing around and didn't feel constant eyes on me. When we checked out he gave my son and his friend some left over comics from Halloween and thanked us. This place is cool, both for the seasoned comic collector and the every now and again guy out spending some time with his superhero loving son. Check it out. read more

Fantastic store! I'm a Magic player, and out of all the shops in the area, this one is by far the most fun to play at! The players range from beginner to semi-pro. Everyone there is happy to help new players learn, and there is rarely a card that I cannot find. read more

I love these guys. It's a typical comic store atmosphere, but they're always doing something new, and even though I don't go in much, they remember me every time. Four stars because even if it's the usual for a comic store, I prefer carpet on the floor instead of cement. read more
