If you enjoy board games, especially the more unusual or rare games, this is the place to go. They've got a fantastic selection, everything from Axis & Allies to Ticket to Ride, Arkham Horror to Settlers of Catan. If you've never heard of any of these games, you should drop in and take a look. There's a whole world of board games beyond Monopoly, and this store has them. I'm a bit of a board game geek, and I felt like a kid in a candy store. I could have blown a whole paycheck buying all the fun and interesting looking games they had. This store also has plenty for the role playing and miniatures gamers as well. read more

Stopped in to buy an expansion set for an out-of-town friend. He'd seen it there for $24.99, neglected to get it, but now wanted it. Stopped in, found it had been re-stickered for $29.99, but knew he wanted it. Girl rang it up but it came up as more than $38. I asked her how much the tax was and showed her the price. She said that the price had been re-entered since the last tag. I told her that the price on the box should be the price she sold it at, but she refused to make any adjustment, even though the mistake was theirs. I don't patronize or trust businesses that do this kind of operation. I wonder how many people have paid extra and not even realized it, or noticed they were getting screwed but told "there's nothing we can do about it." Used to come here occasionally and would recommend to friends - now I'll never return and will warn friends of this practice. read more

Great shop, or shoppe in this case. A mind boggling amount of board games. Card, rpg, party games, it's all here. If they don't have it they can probably order it. Beyond just the massive selection the reason they're five stars is the staff is great. They're accessible and passionate about games. They also support the community by offering a gaming room where various game clubs and groups meet to play. It's a shop that also has fostered a community. Great place that's worthy of your support and business. read more

Amazing customer service. Great selection. Also, helpful and inviting. The demo games area is great if you don't know if you really want a particular game. You can also, just come in and play games. read more

Great place! Great people! The Game Shoppe is actively involved in the keep the local board gaming community together. Prices are reasonable and they offer a place to game. (Large with scenery.) You can go in there and play one of their many off the shelf games for free and sometimes staff will even assist you in learning the game. They offer most of the popular table-top games and the staff is knowledgeable; some staff members will even play with you. I've haven't been to a more clean, friendly, and more devoted place in the Omaha area. read more

Poor service. Poor prices.= Recipe for not having fun. (prices were high compared to other comparable stores in the metro)

I found a board game expansion pack that was pretty obscure but the Game Shoppe had it! It was even cheaper than I would have gotten it on Amazon. Everything is priced fairly and might even get a deal like I did. If you want a quality board game without the wait of online shipping then The Game Shoppe is the place for you! read more

They're always very friendly and very helpful! Great, welcoming atmosphere for gamers.

So my boyfriend and I go here often to pick up paints and other supplies for his war hammer fantasy. Our only problem is the lack of war hammer selection , we normally end up going to the games work shop store to buy any models. However as far as board games and card games they have a pretty nice selection.we play pathfinder and love that we can drive two minutes and pick up a new scenario. So over all I recommend it :) read more

Bad experience every time I came in. Employees were rude and made it seem that they did not want me in their store. Will not return and wish they never came to Bellevue read more

Unfortunate experience today. Tried to use a gift card that was purchased for me at the new Omaha location. The card was not new. They reuse cards which a lot of places do but something was wrong with this one. It was showing a zero balance despite the two receipts proving otherwise. The gal behind the counter called the other store to verify the card was purchased there. They said yes after she sent them pics of the receipts and card. She said that store and hers have to go through all the receipts since the gift card was bought two weeks ago and see if there is a duplicate. Needless to say she wasnt going to be able to sift through them while we waited. Do not buy a giftcard from this place or the Omaha location if they want to use a "used" card. They lost my business today and I am not sure if it is worth going back. Great selection of games and a polite and apologetic staff still cannot make up for a gift card being used by someone else due to a manual entry of the numbers. read more

A family member just recently moved to the area and we decided to check it out. When we went in we met the manager and she was extremely nice and helpful. She even recommended ways for my family member to get into contact with fellow board gamers since he was on his own in the area. Prices seemed reasonable and selection was fantastic. Also hosts events and provide demo games to try out in the back of the store. Would definitely recommend this place to any board game geeks in Omaha, whether you are visiting or are living there. read more
