The Good: -His selection of memorabilia is the best around. From autographed baseballs, jerseys, rare collectibles, even old Sports Illustrated issues... I have yet to find anyone in the Midwest who can match his inventory. -Wes is a nice guy. He knows the industry and is more than willing to help you out. His prices are always fair. -The employees that work with him are equally as knowledgable. That's a rarity in Card Shops. The Not-So-Good: -His store is VERY cramped. He is trying to pack a ton of stuff in a tiny space, and it can be overwhelming. Sometimes, he has stuff on display that is blocking another item, and you don't want to bug him just to see what it is. -Along the same lines, if there is more than 4-5 customers at a time, it can be an uncomfortable experience. Too many people crammed in that shop and you want to leave. -It is hard to get out of. When you try and leave, you can't turn left on 70th Street, and even if you could, the traffic there is terrible and anything other than going right is going to take you a while. There isn't much chance to get around behind the small alleys behind the shops, either. All in all, this is a great place. I have bought wedding gifts, birthday gifts, graduation gifts from him. I have collectibles in my office that were bought from his shop. Sports Card shops provide people with a lot of nostalgia and happy memories. It makes it better when the store is outstanding. Give Wes' a try.

We didn't know what we were doing & so we asked the lady at this pawn shop to explain. She gave us an attitude the whole time. We asked her when the first interest payment was due she said at the end of the month. Then after everything was signed , she said i have a week before it would be $6 then two weeks it would be $12. everything was all signed so i couldn't get my items back because they have a 48 hour policy. they are scammers & scumbags who want to take advantage of people in need. when we went in we noticed most of their clients were mentally ill, chronically ill, or down on their luck. we went back before the week ended & the guy tried charging me $12. They thought since we were young they would be able to scam us but i was so upset i told him "no the lady right next you told me it would be $6 for a week." & the lady just sat there looking at me blankly and tried to lie. the guy was like well yes you are under the first week mark okay. Then the next incident is that they have a sign that says you can pay the interest off with a card. you can't ! it's always a catch with these people , you can pay off the interest with card if you wait over a month . overall a horrible place with horrible people. they have signs all over saying "however you treat us the better price you get" when they themselves are horrible people who treat non white people rudely. would never ever recommend.

The owner also came around to check on customers and was incredibly pleasant and friendly, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, there were a few things involving the staff that caught us off guard. While preparing our order, one employee was eating ice cream behind the counter while making customers' desserts. We also observed her repeatedly running her fingers through her hair and then using her hands to crumble a brownie into our ice cream without washing her hands. She also displayed rude and uncalled for behavior with a group of teenage boys that came in before us. It wasn't something we expected to see and it definitely made us uncomfortable. The ice cream itself was good, and the overall concept of the shop is great, but the food handling practices we witnessed took away from the experience. With a little more attention to cleanliness and professionalism from the staff, this could easily be a much higher-rated visit. We wanted to share our honest experience because there are a lot of positive things about this place, but some of the small details regarding food preparation were hard to overlook.

I live in Grand Island but whenever I am in Lincoln, I make time in my trip to check out the store to see what is new. There is usually someone in the craft room working on crafts, and it's fun to visit with them to see what they are making and to visit with fellow crafters.
