Terrible company!! They destroyed 2 safes, $1800 worth of damage. They couldn't get the larger open after trying to cut it open. Then sent a contracted locksmith out who got into the safe in ten minutes using his equipment. No need to cut either safes open. I asked why he damaged them when they could be open easily, and he said "I told you I would have to damage them." He didn't HAVE to, he's just incompetent. Then he refused to refund my money. **DO NOT USE** In short: I had a key made for my truck and it stopped working after the first month and the owner refused to do anything about it. In Long: Called back after my key stopped working (specifically the buttons on the key fob. My truck still starts). The first thing I asked is if they guarantee their keys. The owner said "YES". I then said I had a key made by them and it stopped working. He asked for my address and immediately said he couldn't find my information. After a little back and forth, he said let me check again and magically he found my information. He then proceeds to tell me my situation is special and I'm not covered under their guarantee. Horrible customer service. I called and explained that my key fob was inoperable. The technician asked me what he should do. When I told him I didn't know, I not the expert. He responded that he could only replace it. He mumbled the price of which I told him was not a problem. I told him the problem was him. I told him he sounded combative. My technician Mike went above and beyond the call of duty: He not only replaced the remote key for my car with a sturdy new one; he also, without my asking, replaced the battery in my old key and provided me with the copy for the new key (in case I'd need another replacement key made). I asked for the service from them to unlock my locked car in front of my friends home who were ready to leave for a trip. Firstly tried to negotiate the price but agreed on the full price of $69 to unlock my car front door only and got the ETA of 30 minutes. Waited for 45 minutes for service but nobody turned up, when called for follow up he quoted me a price of $95 knowing I am with a kid waiting outside someone house. Finally called my insurance company to unlock the car. Never recommend his service. As a new driver it did not click to my mind first to call my car insurance. read more

Called cause i got locked out my home. Said they would send someone out. I asked for a base price or a price range and he told me the guy couldn't give me one until he got there. Technician called me said ETA was 25 minutes arrived in 45 minutes. Got there popped the door open in 5 minuets then turned around and said 99$ for the "air bags" & tools used $15 to come out & $35 for labor. I was shocked spent a total of $150. He had on no uniform, no work truck, no badge, just jeans and a t shirt. And his girlfriend was sitting in the passenger seat of his car. Door got opened yes! He was there exactly when he said he was going to show up and per my request gave me a call ahead when he was 10 minutes away and when he arrived. I needed a key made for my old Toyota and I had to get a code first and he He answered all my questions and also helped me with every step to acquire the code, even though it wasn't his job. Highway robbery. I lost my car keys on Friday 11/22/19 and called Legacy Locksmith to get a replacement. I asked for a quote and they told me it was $99 plus service fee of $15. I set an appointment for 9pm but at 7pm I got a call from a service provider saying they would be there in 25 minutes. When I got there, the price changed from $99 plus $15 to $225. They charged me to unlock my door. Now my car door is messed up. There is about a 2 inch space between the window and the door frame. The service provider had the flu and told me so. Very unprofessional. Very unreliable. More than highway robbery. Took advantage of a young woman with her 2 year old son trying to get into her car in the dark, cold, and rain. $225 for a basic key with no remote control fob. read more

I am the office manager for a company in reasonable distance of this dispatch office, so I called Legacy Locksmith to assist with a locked drawer in our office building downtown. I was instructed that it would be $15 for the visit and the work would start at $35. This was the extent of the directions explained to me by the dispatcher. When he arrived, he was here less than 5 minutes, and proceeded to charge us $196 for the entirety of the work, included in this price was a 6$ parking fee....which we validated. As I am not on site, my associate called and asked why the fee was so high based on the information provided by the dispatcher, he explained that "we start at $35, and then the price is determined by the type of lock and that he (being me) must not have been listening" and then said that all calls are recorded (this was not explained to me beforehand- as is expected customer service transparency, but that is a separate issue) I said I would be happy to listen to the recording if they could provide it, but that in no industry is it acceptable to present a minimum charge of $35 as a starting fee, and then without coordination with the client, proceed to do work that will be over that price and then expect payment of an amount nearly 4 times the agreed upon price (all in total, this should have been $50) or this should have been carefully outlined by the dispatcher so that I could continue looking for a less costly option. The customer service is sorely lacking, as is the necessary transparency between client and vendor. Unacceptable. I would never authorize $200 for less than 5 minutes of work. In reading other reviews, it appears that the business model of this company is meant to be intentionally vague so that the price can be whatever the technician or the technician's supervisor deems fair. We are a high level company with extensive vendor connections, so it's a shame that we will not be adding Legacy Locksmith to our roster. read more

On Monday 7/16/18, my ignition was stuck. I called Legacy and they said they could take job. They showed up 3 hrs later and said it was the ignition switch and they replaced it for $200. On Friday, 7/21/18 I went out to run errands with husband. We got back to car and igntion switch was stuck and we couldn't go anywhere. We called them at 9:30am and explained what happened and they said they were going to call Technician to come out and fix it. The Tech called us at 10:30am and told us after he finished job he was on he would be coming to us. By me being more disabled then my husband they got me home and he stayed with car. Long story short my husband was outside in the heat, no food, air and no medicine until 5:15 pm waiting for Technician to show up. We called them all day and they said someone was coming. Finally we called a tow company to pick the truck up and bring husband home. It cost $100 to tow my truck home. When he got home we called Legacy and they said tech was still coming to my house to fix car but no show. Both of our cell phones have been blocked from company receiving our calls. The last attempt to contact them was at 10:45pm. My husband and I were very frustrated by them ruining our entire day, my husband was not feeling well from being outside all day and us calling them all day, just a nightmare. On Saturday I called them on landline phone and the same woman answered, named Brittany. I asked how would she feel if someone left her disabled parents outside all day, lying about coming to help them? They was no remorse or sympathy at all. I had to call another company to fix my truck Saturday costing another $ 200. This is not acceptable I will be calling the BBB, 11 and Fox 5 news to report this. We are disabled and have limited income and for a company to take advantage us not right. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AWFUL.
