I contacted Danny's Lock & Key to have a key blade cut for my Mercedes. I've used this company in the past and previously had an excellent experience with one of their technicians, which is why I reached out again. This time, my experience was the opposite. I spoke directly with Danny. The interaction was not courteous, and I was told I would receive a callback with pricing and service timing after he spoke with his technician. I waited. After about an hour passed with no return call, I called back thinking I might have missed it. He again stated he had not yet spoken with the technician but promised to call me back. That call never came. I understand that small businesses get busy. What's not acceptable is telling a customer multiple times that you'll follow up and then not doing so. Clear communication is basic customer service. Before posting this, I took a moment to read other reviews, and it appears there may be a pattern of similar complaints about follow-ups and communication. Called the nearest locksmith being locked out of a rental car. No keyless entry on this Kia serious?, still need to stick keys in ignition. Wasn't use to it over the week. Clipped the keys to my bag and put in trunk and closed. I always unlock doors before unlocking trunk, somehow I didn't unlock doors and only the trunk. Sucked and was gonna missed flight. Danny got someone here within 30 minutes. Which I appreciated. Took less than 10 minutes to wedge pump and pull door handle. I thought the rate was a bit high, $100, plus $7 for using a credit card, yes square charges fees, but not this high. But who knows, this is the second time in the last 10 years being locked out of a car, and the first time was a Cadillac rental car too, back in the day they didn't have push start so it was more my fault for careless key keeping. I still recommend Danny's for being quick to action but highly recommend them if the rate was lower. But there probably won't be a next time for me if hertz has better selection of cars coming out of bankruptcy that has smart keyless entry. read more

these guys are great! i locked my keys in my car and they came right out. friendly and prompt. they called to let me know they were otw and only took 10 minutes. he even let me slide ten dollars cause i was broke. told me he wanted to make sure i had money to eat on. real kindness. very respectful. very kind. and another thing... his wife called while he was unlocking the door and i overheard him talking to her. so sweet and kind. shes got a great husband. made me smile for her. so nice to see these days. after a long really hard day, and then finding out my mom was in the hospital, and then locking my keys in the car while trying to take her some things she needed... it was really wonderful to get such good prompt service. i'm not easily impressed but these guys impressed me. no wonder they have 5 stars already. thank you. read more

Danny and his assistant were amazing!! Lost my car key, called Mazda to replace it and they gave me not only horrible customer service but an outrageous quote. Danny was the first locksmith I called after finding him through google. Not only was he super friendly, arrived in kess than an hour, but moat important he beat Mazdas price. Unfortunatly, my car was not playing nice and took alot of tweaking to replace my key. But they did it and were pleasant to be around even though my replacement key may have been, at best, a hassle to complete. I will refer them to all my friends and never use another locksmith again!! Unfortunately I had quite an awful experience with this company. I called to receive a service for total replacement for car keys and the guy that I spoke with was very arrogant and extremely rude. I was quoted a very high price, wayyyy higher than competitors. And when I mentioned it, he got extremely defensive and tried to explain that he had competitive prices. So of course he disconnected. Thought I'd leave it there, but nope. I accidentally called back. I know, silly, I would have at least thought he would at least take the time to explain what I was getting or whatever I needed to hear for the sake, but Nope! He just became very arrogant and just wanted to argue and be super aggressive. My son heard the exchange and just disconnected us. Now I really was trying to get an understanding, but he was here to be verbally aggressive for no reason. Honestly if this is how he deals with people that want to make sure what their spending and getting, I'm surprised he is still in business. Needless to say, I went with a competitor and got 2 keys and remotes for 20 less than his cost for 1 key and 1 remote. So lesson to be learned is always call and price shop! I wish you well with your business but you need to understand you're in a service based business. Having a bad day? Say that, we all do. But don't be a butthole for no reason. Peace! read more

He Used a Racial Slur to My Face.....HUH??!?!? Danny came out to open my house door on Super Bowl Sunday. The service was fine, he was relatively prompt and opened my door without any damage to the lock. We were finishing up and I as I was preparing to pay, my car phone rang and one could clearly hear another locksmith vendor talking with my husband over the car speakerphone (the car door was open). We had called around a few vendors (Danny was the first to answer so we went with him) and this other vendor called back to follow up. He had an Hispanic accent. Danny told me "you can't trust those guys with accents. They'll tell you anything to get your business." I was floored. I'm Nigerian and speak with an accent at times, but I know the racist connotations he was making. I am ashamed to admit I was so stunned I didn't berate or curse him out. I just paid and he left. I regret deeply I didn't tell him how stupid and demeaning he sounded and that he actually got business from me. Hopefully someone else will not make the same mistake. read more
