Eugene was awesome…read more I contacted Eugene to re-keyed locks to several businesses for us. He arrived when he said he would arrive, his prices were fair, he was able to intelligibly explain to me what he was doing and why. He could not complete the job that same day because he needed to order keys and pick up a dead bolt for one of our doors. He gave me a date and time for which he would return and did just that. He was unable to install a deadbolt on one of our office doors and instead of trying to make a quick buck, he gave us other options. We will definitely use him again. I will definitely be using him again for all of our businesses.

Well I didn't get Eugene, so maybe that's why my experience wasn't as great as everyone else's. We…read moreneeded an emergency locksmith to get us into our place after we locked ourselves out. The star is for the guy showing up on time on a Sunday night, and for getting us in our home (although if I could give zero stars, I would). It cost us around $175 and after we were in the house, he asked us for payment in cash. We don't carry cash. He wouldn't take a credit card (despite them advertising as credit card friendly), so we paid with a check. However, the locksmith had no idea what he was doing. Our lock AND door are totally busted, broken, in pieces. We had to give up a day of work (since we didn't have a way to lock the house) so the technician could come back Monday night and fix the lock, only for him to tell us he had the wrong size lock with him and wouldn't be able to fix and replace it. He had no idea *how* to fix it, even though he's the one who broke it. On Tuesday, he was supposed to come over in the morning to try again, but called us to ask if we could ask our office if they have replacement locks he could use since he didn't have the correct part. We had already explained to him on Sunday that no, they don't, this is not an apartment complex but an owned condo. They don't carry locks, we don't have a maintenance office. That's why we're calling a locksmith. He said he could not help us. We ended up calling a different locksmith company to see if they could help fix the damage done by this company, because J&M's technician didn't have the parts to fix what he broke. Plus, he asked us to call someone else to find the lock. According to the new company, there are pieces missing and broken, and they made so many errors that we need a specialty lock ordered. Now I have to keep spending money to fix what they damaged. We called J&M on Tuesday to explain the damage that was done and ask for a refund and/or damage reimbursement since they directly caused the unnecessary damage to our door. We sent photos of the damage, per their request. We called them twice and both times they said they'd call us back - they didn't. We called again, they didn't answer. We called twice on Wednesday, they still didn't answer. We sent a text on Wednesday asking them to call us back, and they finally texted us back saying they wouldn't do a refund because we didn't contact their office - even though we had been in touch with their employee directly. Their employee said they didn't have the parts, the reason we had to contact another company was because they didn't have the parts. And yet their reason for not giving us a refund is that we should have contacted their other technicians? NEVER do business here. Ever. This was beyond poor customer service, it was a never-ending nightmare. I even filed a complaint with the BBB, which the company ignored (this action can be found on the BBB website).

So I decided to request a quote to get the locks re-keyed via Yelp. 7 MondaysLocksmith came back with a quote at a great price and with immediate availability. Literally, I sent the request at 9 am, right now is 10:40 and all 5 locks have been re-keyed. It was not just the speed of response and getting the service done, but Beskat was absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of Yelp's quote request feature since you can get a fast response from multiple vendors provided that you send a clear explanation of your needs. Not only did Bekzat reply quickly, he also quoted me a fair price. On the day of my closing, I met Bekzat at my property and he quickly installed the locks I supplied. He was extremely collegial, respectful, and efficient. He also took the time to answer my questions about the locks I'd had installed (digital). I have nothing but good things to say about Bekzat and his service. If you're in need of a locksmith, you don't need to look further, he's your guy!

I called several locksmiths about a spare fob and cut key for my wife's 2005 Lexus. I also called a…read morelocal Lexus dealer. The dealership wanted $90.00 just for the privilege of placing my old transmitter into a new fob. Adding a cut key would have upped the price to a whopping $200.00. A car repair shop provided me with the name Ambu-Lock and Peter's contact information. Ambu-Lock had the fob and the key for my car in stock. I chose to drive a little and save a lot, rather than having Ambu-Lock make a house call. A new fob and freshly cut key cost half of what the Lexus dealership wanted to charge. The dealership also attempted to bamboozle me into believing that a new key required additional programming. This was completly untrue. I'm a persnickety consumer and, as such, it's extremely rare when I award I business with a 5-star rating. For a car key at a price that won't send you into lock shock, don't hesitate to call Peter the Great at Ambu-Lock.

I thought the interactions would be incredibly pleasant. So, wtf happened? Did Peter not handle my case? Did I call the wrong Ambu-Lock? I don't know if I interacted with Peter, but I apparently called the right place. I asked whomever I spoke with to quote me a price to unlock a car. He asked what part of town am I located in, and I replied Snellville. Can you guess what he said next? a) Oh, what part of Snellville? b) We serve parts of Snellville. Can you provide your address? c) [Disgusting contempt] Heh, can you narrow it down a little more? Yeah, sadly the joker chose C. I was floored by the fact that he chose to be rude. I wasn't rude to him. Before I even had a chance to clarify, he went on this stupid rant about how the company serves Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, but not all of each county. Snellville is a really big place. They don't serve all of Snellville. Blah Blah Blah. After trying to get a word in multiple times, I said "Okay nevermind" and hung up before this idiot could finish his stupid rant. If this was the end of the experience, then I likely wouldn't even write a review. Sadly, the experience wasn't over. Mr. Jackass went ahead and proceeded to call me multiple times with his cell phone. When I didn't answer, he decided I wanted to be harassed by text message instead. He gave me a different version of his same stupid rant, and at this point, it's all too surreal for words. Don't do business with Ambu-lock. If you must call them, you apparently need to use *67 to avoid being harassed later. To whomever handled my case: don't contact me again. I will screenshot and post any further unprofessional harassing texts. I will report your violation of the CAN-SPAM act to the FCC.

He ended up using a slim Jim to force my top drawer open, but I won't be able to close it. Bottom line, I feel he shouldn't taken the call, knowing that he could not complete the job I requested.
