Lee our installer phoned an hour before he arrived to let us know he was on the way. Lee and his young apprentice did a very good and professional job including inlet shut off valve, leak detection valve, new hoses and soldering of fittings and earthquake bracing.. They hauled away the old heater and cleaned up any installation debris. It only took a couple hours.They were very polite and answered all of our questions. I am very happy with the entire job and the cost. This is the best and easiest way for someone who is not a DIY guy, and who is elderly to get your hot water heater replaced.

Just called Lefty's Plumbing Service in Salem, Oregon after my two personal plumbing resources couldn't come out for an emergency plumbing problem. I found them after typing in "salem oregon plumber" in Google and a Yelp page came up with a list of top ten plumbers in Salem. One of my personal (unavailable) resources were listed and had only one 5 star review despite this man having decades of experience and being a highly valuable and reliable resource. Lefty's Plumbing also was on the list and also had one 5 star review. Well now they have two. I couldn't be more pleased with the work, the help, the professionalism and just all around trustworthiness. The arrived promptly on a late Friday afternoon and over-delivered. Thanks to Mike from Lefty's Plumbing our shower and sink are now flowing freely with hot water when hot water is directed and cold water where cold water is indicated! Seems like it's the least that could be expected, but after years of attempting to do it ourselves, Mike finished the job in half of an hour! Of course interested in what I had done wrong, I hovered over his work. Mike was congenial and patiently made explanations and helpful suggestions. His work was so efficient that I asked about a problem with the toilet tank that had been causing troubles for us. Mike scoped out the problem instantly and had the problem fixed almost as fast! Brandon, from Lefty's just left. I had discovered an outside water faucet , which was trickling water, yesterday. While they weren't able to get me in then, they called early this morning. By noon, Brandon had replaced an elderly and mooshed washer. Politely, Brandon suggested that he return in the spring for replacing other faucet instead of charging for the 15 minute job! Before leaving, he even put the faucet cover on! Lefty's has become my new favorite business! read more

This was no small feat given the weird crawl spaces in my basement, that he had to crawl into in order to replace some pipes. Somehow he was amazingly cheerful about this! Of course, given my 1890 house, fixing that pipe uncovered a clog further along in the pipes that was stopping up my sink. So today James and Mason came out, cleaned it all out, showed me what the pipes look like on their very cool camera device,and now everything works like a charm. I thought the prices were very reasonable, and the estimates accurately reflected the final cost. All along, everyone I dealt with was great, from Marcus on the phone setting up the appointments, to Peter/James/Mason doing the work at the house. They were friendly, professional, explained everything, left everything neat and took care of the small details, and were very nice to and amused by my dog, who was doing his best to "help" their efforts. Haha, "help." Overall, this is now my only go-to place for plumbing/drainage problems - which are likely to be a recurring thing given the age of my house. I forget which other maintenance person recommended them, but I'm glad they did. I've had leaking pipes in the past where the leak was so bad that the water had to be shut entirely off, and the companies I dealt with then could never tell me anything more than "well, we're really busy, we MIGHT be able to get out there next week" etc. It was always nerve-wracking, calling different places to see which ones could come out first. I can't imagine that being an issue with Evergreen, given how prompt they've always been.

What's worse, is the service tech didn't understand how they did the pricing because "it is all one cost". Had I known I was paying almost $600/hr for service, I would never had agreed to it. I only found out the pricing AFTER it was installed when we asked if it was covered under our warranty, and he talked to a manager. They went way above and beyond. They even surprised us by fixing a leak under our bathroom floor that had been plaguing us for a year. Then put down a nice wood plank over a hole in our floor so we don't have to worry about falling through the floor anymore. They did not charge extra and only charged what the quote was (which was far more affordable than quotes from other plumbers). Even though they had some extra costs and did extra work they stayed true to their quote, and I am extraordinarily grateful. I have not experienced such compassion from any service in my life. He was going to return in the morning at 9:00 to install it. He also told me the cost and informed we can make two monthly payments if we wanted to. The next morning our doorbell rang at 8:00. I did not see Dave but there were three other at the door along with two large service trucks. I told them they were an hour early and one of them said they were able to get here an hour early. By 9:00 or so they were done. A little while later Dave, who was here last night said another company found out and jumped ahead of Dave and (in my words) literly stole the job from Dave. This other company misrepresented themselves and interestingly never gave us a price. Later Dave showed up to apologize what happened. In essence the other company misrepresented it self which can be construed as fraud and mis-representation. I would think the contractors board would take an interest in this.

I have a small storm drain line that serves my gutter system and a floor drain on the back patio under my deck. Over time it fills with the sand that slowly wears away from my roofing shingles along with any other bits of moss or debris that winds up getting flushed down my downspouts. I had this same company out 4 years ago when I first bought the house to flush it all out with a hydro jet. They did a great job and the price was very, very reasonable. Unfortunately, this past week's storms let me know that it was again clogged to the point of being unable to keep my patio from flooding during really heavy rains. I called them up again and was really pleased that they could get to me in a couple of days (it wasn't an emergency and they may have been able to get to me quicker if it were, but I didn't ask). I was even more pleased that the same gentleman who came out the first time was still with the company and would likely be the one to come this time as well. And he was. Loel was an absolute gem. He showed up on time (few minutes early...). He did an incredibly thorough job. Both times. This job was hourly and he didn't dally but got right to it. He was obviously highly skilled and efficient with years of experience and was a heck of a nice guy to boot. If I recall correctly, I think I had another of one of their guys out to clear a tub drain with a traditional auger snake after we bought this house as well and that also was a pleasant and reasonably priced experience Anyway... I can highly recommend these folks based on multiple interactions over several years. I hope your experience with them goes just as well.
