Some rats got in our crawl space and destroyed our heat ducts. I called several companies for a bid for replacement. We decided on Home Comfort after Justin came out to give us a bid and he suggested some improvements that could be made to the system layout. Others did not do that. Unfortunately, this company has gone down hill pretty quick. We had to order a motor for our unit which went out nearly a month ago. Third or fourth time calling in to see where the part was, they said it was lost and had to order a new one. So we will be without A/C for nearly 2 months before this part comes in. This was after we had called a couple other times to check the status of the order, and the person who answered didn't seem to give two sh*ts about the issue, and did not give much of any assistance or information. I used them to replace 2 HVAC units in my home 5 years ago. Last month one unit failed. I called them and they came out and said there is a leak somewhere and estimated $2k to $4k to find the leak and $2k to refill the leaked fluid. They charged me $200 to come out and give this estimate. I then called Rice heating. Within 10 minutes Rice heating found the leak, found it to be a manufacturer warrantee item, and the transfer fluid refill is 1/2 what Home comfort estimated. They did good work on the original installation but they seem to overcharge. read more

I am reviewing the Aire Serv inspection we received today. I live out south of Salem. Had a full home unit, and a split ductless in a studio to inspect. Austin was our tech, he was able to be here early, I was thankful for that with a busy day ahead. I took advantage of the special for an inspection on my a/c units, and start to finish it went just perfect. He went to work and was done in a reasonable amount of time, documenting the respective issues he found with my units. Been with Home Comfort for a number of years thru old heating oil furnace to new installation of heating and air at the farm 6 years ago to yesterday getting my air conditioning restored after being without it thru our latest miserable heat wave. I was dreading hot weather this summer and checked out my heat pump only to find the compressor was basically "gone". I called Home Comfort and even though they were quite busy they fit me in because they know from past I needed to be cool due to an ongoing health issue. A representative came out immediately to inform me of product they like using so I was able to get a quote and have a new unit installed the following week. Everything was finished within 5 hours with no noise or any interruption to my normal life. Polite, efficient friendly workers skilled in installation. They adjusted my thermostat and ran my a/c unit to check it out...did NOT charge me due to no installation and actually took out my dirty filter. Recently Home Comfort installed a complete ductless Mitsubishi hvac system in our house. From Cameron my original contact person, Jessie, Damon + Scott the installers, to Ben the installation manager, a very professional bunch. It was a pleasure doing business with these folks. The complete installation was top notch. You can certainly tell that all take pride in their work. At the end of the installation, I had a minor complaint. I contacted Ben, and he more then addressed my complaint within a very short time.
