He always showed up on time and even with multiple parts wrong with our system, got it back up and running again. 10/10 would recommend KAPS Heating to anyone. If you decide to go with them, ask for Jerome, he's the man.

Moving forward one year, called because the new A/C unit was freezing over. Paid them to come out and what was the problem? Low refrigerant. How is this it is a new system I asked. "Sometimes it happens" was the response I got and I was told that everything looked fine with the system and I was reassured that it would work moving forward. Paid them $450 in total to refill the refrigerant. Going forward 3 months A/C stopped working again, unit completely frozen over again! Called back for assistance and they were occupied and unable to assist me. So I called around and had Impact heating and cooling come out to take a look at the A/C unit. Sure enough low refrigerant again! I ended up paying Impact an additional $535. So $985 in a three month span because of low refrigerant. Impact told me that the refill valve on the A/C unit was leaking and he let me know that he put in some "stop leak" in the unit that should fix the problem. Guess what??? It has not. I have reached out on a number of occasions at this point to J&S and I get no response. I wish them well but not going with them anymore and I would not recommend them.

I had Chris come take a look at the furnace that quit working at one of my rentals in Lebanon. I called on a Friday afternoon and he said he could meet me there on Saturday. He diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately, He had to order parts to get it fixed, but was back out Monday after the parts house opened to make the repair. As luck would have it, another rental also in Lebanon that I own lost its heat on Sunday. I mentioned the other furnace to Chris and we both went over to take a look at that unit after he made the repair on the first unit. He quickly determined the problem and fixed it for NO CHARGE! I would highly recommend AC & Heating.

Over the last 19 years I've used many HVAC companies. Mr Freeze was hands down the best I've ever…read moreused. I got 7 offers for installing a new Furnace, and theirs was the 2nd best price. Beyond that they seemed most knowledgeable of all the companies, and above board. Some of the companies suggested things that didn't need to be done (such as drilling a vent through the wall instead of pulling the air inside the large garage), or shady things like not pulling permits. The company I used for my Air Conditioner misdiagnosed what was wrong. Mr Freeze determined the correct solution and told me what I needed to tell the other HVAC company to fix it (it was under warranty by them). They didn't believe me, and wanted to do their own diagnostics, which ended up shorting out the furnace. It ended up Mr. Freeze was correct. They were also very friendly and prompt. I don't see myself ever using someone else again.

From start to finish, our experience with Salem Heating was absolutely fantastic…read more Scott, the estimator, was extremely helpful as we were choosing the equipment. We really appreciated his low key approach. He really heard us, rather than trying to sell us, and patiently answered all of our questions. Next came Ed, who prepared all of the calculations, list of supplies, etc. that would be needed by the installers to efficiently do their work with no snafus or need to leave for supplies. He also patiently answered all our questions. Based on Scott's recommendation, we decided to have our ducts cleaned prior to installation and he set up an appointment with Oregon Duct Cleaning to do so. ODC was a great recommendation and we're very happy with the job they did. They too, patiently answered all our questions. Finally, Mike and Mitch did the installation. We hit the jackpot with those two. What a GREAT team! They were professional, tidy, patiently answered all our questions, and obviously took pride in the quality of their work and the quality of the Lennox products they installed. Mike went a step further and went into a VERY tight portion of the crawl space (he literally had to shimmy in and out) where he discovered a major section of the ductwork had not been properly installed. He fixed that and thoroughly sealed the ducts to the vents. We are so grateful to him for going that extra mile as the problem wasn't visible until he got inside the area. No wonder that part of the house was, depending on the season, either hotter or cooler than the rest of the house. He deserves a bonus for his effort.

I called back after not hearing for a while. This was happening during spring when it was still cold. Finally someone responded to my calls that they had no parts and I'd have to change it altogether. When I was finally told they could not fix it, I sent them a check for the full amount for the second service call. Now months later, I received an invoice in the mail for 49 cents. I called to see what was up. The lady who answered the phone said it was the interest for late payment. Mind you this is the first invoice I received since I sent the full payment. I reminded her I waited to pay based on their advice. And it would cost more to mail a check with stamp being more expensive: she basically said I could pay over the phone to her (which I don't like giving my cc info to people directly) or mail it. I will mail it but will never do business with them. After years of being a customer, $0.49 will be the value of service I received.
