What a great team they have. I never once felt pushed into getting a complete new system, they did come out a few times to do everything they could to keep it running but alas, it was time. I am truly happy with the results! I was taken through my whole system, once completed they went over everything, left my house as clean as they found it. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs work done on any furnace or air conditioning! The cherry on top is that Freedom Heating and Air was less expenseive than other bids I had previously received.

He advised they service the Portland area by appointment. I asked if it would be possible to schedule an appointment while I was in town. He was accommodating and worked with my schedule. Nate (technician) showed up during the scheduled window. In fact, he was 30 minutes early. After an hour or so, Nate identified the cause of the problem. He had a suggestion on how to remedy the problem, but advised he wanted to confer with Jason. I received a call the following day from Jason with a quote that I felt was very reasonable. The quote included both labor and materials. The work has been completed. I am very satisfied with how quickly they were able to resolve the issue. Jason offers very personalized service. Thanks Jason! Thanks Nate!

Beyond that they seemed most knowledgeable of all the companies, and above board. Some of the companies suggested things that didn't need to be done (such as drilling a vent through the wall instead of pulling the air inside the large garage), or shady things like not pulling permits. The company I used for my Air Conditioner misdiagnosed what was wrong. Mr Freeze determined the correct solution and told me what I needed to tell the other HVAC company to fix it (it was under warranty by them). They didn't believe me, and wanted to do their own diagnostics, which ended up shorting out the furnace. It ended up Mr. Freeze was correct. They were also very friendly and prompt. I don't see myself ever using someone else again.

I've dealt with all the big names in Salem - Woodwards, Judson's, Advantage, etc. DiMartion's 5 Star is the BEST. No big upsells, no propaganda, no $40k estimate... he just took care of our system, got it up to spec again, even showed me how something works on my house I've had for 10 years and didn't know (and, now, in the future, I will hopefully be less freezing in the winters upstairs!! All because he took a second to explain something!) I really couldn't have asked for more. Prompt, courteous, professional, and a great value. Save this number for emergency HVAC needs! What I had done: 20-year old furnace I haven't had "tuned up" in at least 5 years. Service cost $120. VERY reasonable! It's good to have honest people in your corner. This is the one, seriously! Call this guy. Save your money and avoid that icky feeling of being scammed the other places give you. You won't regret it.

Moving forward one year, called because the new A/C unit was freezing over. Paid them to come out and what was the problem? Low refrigerant. How is this it is a new system I asked. "Sometimes it happens" was the response I got and I was told that everything looked fine with the system and I was reassured that it would work moving forward. Paid them $450 in total to refill the refrigerant. Going forward 3 months A/C stopped working again, unit completely frozen over again! Called back for assistance and they were occupied and unable to assist me. So I called around and had Impact heating and cooling come out to take a look at the A/C unit. Sure enough low refrigerant again! I ended up paying Impact an additional $535. So $985 in a three month span because of low refrigerant. Impact told me that the refill valve on the A/C unit was leaking and he let me know that he put in some "stop leak" in the unit that should fix the problem. Guess what??? It has not. I have reached out on a number of occasions at this point to J&S and I get no response. I wish them well but not going with them anymore and I would not recommend them.
