I have been coming to this restaurant since 1980. How many non chain restaurants last that long?! My favorite dish is Szechuan Chow Mein. Optional protein of beef or chicken. Both are excellent as it is the sauce that is unique. No other Asian restaurant has sauce that has this flavor. Don't let the name steer you away as it is not hot and spicy but you can request heating it up. Like so many restaurants post COVID service is slower but not enough to complain about as servers are very nice. Ambiance well think diner more than dark and romantic! Other amazing flavors are PRINCESS PRAWNS, PEKING NOODLE SOUP, THREE FLAVOR CHICKEN, MONGOLIAN BEEF, SWEET SOUR anything. Very affordable. read more

I have been an n this neighborhood for two years and ventured out solo to Lee's Kitchen two nights ago... I don't know what I was thinking, no date (odd) and trying a new to m neighborhood joint. The door environment lacks luster... The staff were attentive and very polite and welcoming... Now, I love a good Mooshu! YUM! I had Pork Mooshu and it was spectacular... Was really craving Chinese food when hanging with a friend in Tualatin so decided to get take away from Lee's. The menu online looked really good with many dishes and family meals to choose from. So much sounded good so it was hard to decide. We were not disappointed. Plentiful portions for sure and everything tasted great. Honestly couldn't believe they gave me a whole container just of sauce! I rather enjoy lots of sauce rather than dry items only half coated, so this was great. Not going to lie, used the sauce from a couple items when I made food at home later. Reasonable prices and was ready quickly. My only gripe is that I wish they had online ordering, but for now it's phone in. The woman on the phone seemed rather abrupt. Not rude, just abrupt. When we got there it was no surprise seeing how busy she was. I think her manner of speech comes off like that, but she was quite pleasant. So just don't take it the wrong way. Tried to go to Hunan Pearl on Bangy road.... But surprise... they were closed unannounced! Pissed off, we went to Lees kitchen which I had not been to for many years. I think their hot & sour soup is some of the best I have had and so is their bbq pork appetizer. We consistently have really good food and service every time we go in. There is a large lounge with 5 or 6 lottery machines, a dining area for larger groups and a dining room with tables for parties of 4. read more

My husband and I stopped here for lunch since we were in the area. We wanted to try something new and not a chain. Lee's did not disappoint. You'll find your typical Chinese food menu here. One of the best Chinese food restaurants in the Portland area. Consistent quality of food and friendly staff. The only con is they stopped making their handmade potstickers. This was the main reason I would come to this restaurant, it's so hard to find good potstickers. We purchased $75 worth of food from this restaurant and got home and my Mongolian chicken container was torn at the bottom with juice pouring all over the bottom of the bag. The chicken that had used supposedly had been fried, but it was overcooked and hard to eat. When I called to complain I was told that it was fried and it was supposed to be that way. The soup that I got was hot and sour the color of it was not appetizing at all. I usually don't complain but after $75 I have to say beware. Lee's Kitchen is THE Chinese spot. My wife and I searched for years trying several Chinese restaurants before we found Lee's. The staff are friendly (we have known the same couple of people who have remembered our family for 12+ years) and polite. The food is outstanding. I will admit that I desperately miss the old potstickers. They used to be the best I've ever had - and many of my friends used to only go to Lee's for their potstickers. They changed them a while back and the new ones just aren't the same. But regardless of that they have too many dishes that we love. Been going here for many years. I like about 3/4 dishes really well, so those are my go to. The sesame chicken is very good, tho, they don't use as much sesame seeds as they used too. Like another reviewer, i was seeking the chinese american version of chow mein, which is made with bean sprouts and has the crunchy noodles under it. This place has it! Be sure to ask for them on the side (if you order to go), otherwise they will get soggy. The pork spareribs are meaty but not as sticky sweet/tender as i like (need more sauce). The twice cooked pork special is great with lots of my favorite veggies (cabbage, zuchini, broccoli) paired with big chunks of cooked bbq pork. I enjoyed the fried eggroll (fresh tasting) and fried won tons on the side. Fried rice is a little plain, just ok, but entrees are well prepared. Portion size is generous, so its nice to be able to take home leftovers. Really an impressive selection of combinations and lunch specials at good prices for lunch...i will probably try sesame chicken next time or kung pao or triple crown or curry chicken! Good value. My basic order at almost any Chinese restaurant is Broccoli Beef and hot and sour soup. The broccoli beef was decent (it was actually really good after not eating for a long time), they were fast, and it was really nice that they are open as late as they are. The one downfall that really stood out to me was their soup though. I don't know if they accidently gave me egg drop or something, but this is as far from hot and sour soup as you can get. I've eaten here multiple times and loved it every time. But, tonight, my family and I met here around 5pm for dinner and it was basically empty. We ordered our food, but when it came out, they messed up one of the orders completely. We ordered two #4's, but they gave us a #5 instead. My dad agreed to eat it, but what shocked me is that they didn't apologize much, or even knock off the price of the meal to the price of the #4. So we paid more for their mistake. Lee's kitchen has good and bad. The good: Strong drinks, quiet bar, the BBQ pork, and the Cashew Chicken. The cashew chicken is light, and tons of veggies. The bad: So many fried items on the menu, and not all items state they are fried, so make sure to ask! I ordered the Pepper Shrimp, and nowhere in the description did it state it was breaded, or fried. When my order showed up breaded and fried, I stated to the server that was not in the description, and I would like it not breaded and fried. Due to a difficult situation with my banking institution running its maintenance during the early morning hours on a Saturday, we were unable to get my debit card approved/ran for anymore than $1, also their ATM was out-of-order. Never disappoints and has actually gotten better! So many places in the Tualatin Tigard And Beaverton area have lacked taste, quality and service in dining out. Lee's does not fail in any of these areas but has actually taken the time to ensure their food is even more consumable. This is what restaurants should be paying attention to not quantity of fast inedible curbside orders but making sure your name is in what you deliver because we will all remember come time to dine back in at your restaurants and love that Lee's Kitchen has definitely taken that into consideration! Maybe I got a horrible batch!? I'm just shocked on how bad our food was that this place has semi-decent reviews.... We eat A LOT of Chinese/Japanese food as it's my partners FAVORITE and this is by far one of the worst places we have tried. The orange chicken tasted like it was dipped in ketchup and the hot and sour soup had big chunks of beef in it (usually has tofu)? Non of their combinations had mandarin or "orange chicken" which is fine but they wouldn't even allow substitutions! We had to buy the full thing and buy everything separate in full. To top it off the Coca Cola or RC cola had the weirdest taste to it! Not to sound really picky but how is their pop even messed up!? Definitely not coming back and kind of sucks because we love to walk around the pond and eat on the benches near by, would have loved to have the option of Chinese. read more
