A solid rating of 4. They have of flaws in my opinion but the food is very good. First of all the place is always packed and there is normally plenty of parking. We walked in and were immediately seated. We ordered the the Spring Rolls served with Peanut sauce, the Avocado Bahn Mi and the Pork Bahn Mi. We asked that the Spring Rolls have no protein just veggies and that was not a problem. The Spring Rolls arrived and they were delicious. Full of veggies and the peanut sauce was great. The Bahn Mi's are always very good. Big, full of ingredients and flavorful. This trip the bread was a little chewy but overall very good. I wish the pork in the Pork Bahn Mi was a bit higher in quality. I also wish that the Avocado Bahn Mi had more avocado in it. But that being said, I would still order both again. My biggest problem with this place is I believe a flaw. Once you finish your meal(after dining in) you must go wait in the long ling with everyone ordering their to go meals. While this little gem doesn't look like much, it's a delight to the taste buds! My husband had raved about the banh mi's from Lees for a while and we were in the area, so why not? We were immediately greeted and our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered two of the combo banh mi's and the pho dac biet. I've only tried this place once, but it's probably in my top three Vietnamese restaurants I've tried in the Atlanta area so far. The quality of the food was excellent even for take-out. My mom and I tried the rare steak, well done flank, and brisket combination pho, the grilled pork báhn mì, and the spring rolls. Everything was very tasty and fresh! We would reorder everything we tried. I can't speak on the in-person service or ambiance as this was a delivery order, but I would definitely recommend the food. I don't normally get beef but I enjoyed it. The banh mi was excellent. One of the best I've had. Dining in: some seats along the windows are by themselves, but the middle of the room has rows of tables pushed together. The spring rolls were standard and yummy. The bread on the banh mi was perfectly crispy and had great flavor. The filling was hot and fresh and so good! Lee's Bakery is famous for their Banh Mi's but I was craving Bun, and it looks like Com next door has been replaced by a Cajun seafood joint - thankfully Lee's Bakery also serves Bun and Pho. So I ordered the "Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli Bun" for $12.25 (medium size) - I'm a huge lemongrass fan but I didn't really get the lemongrass flavor ... however the chicken was still flavorful, the veggies were fresh, and their bun succeeded in satisfying my craving. The bun does come with fish sauce to sweeten up the bowl, and I added some hoisin sauce + chili oil to spice it up. FYI the Sriracha shortage is real here - no sriracha sauce and instead, they have Hoisin Sauce and Frank's Red Hot Sauce on the tables, and chili oil upon request. Service is friendly & efficient. Next time I'd like to get the Pho + Banh Mi combo for $11.75 - I love that they have combo options. Like everywhere else, banh mi prices did go up - now $5.95 (dine-in) and $$5.25 (to-go). Looking at my old review in April 2009, banh mi's were $3 and $2.50 :) I love the banh mi bread and for "dessert", I bought a small loaf for $.50 :) Bread is 3 for $1.50, and day old bread is 4 for $1. read more

I came here for lunch. Ordered a medium Pho to go with the brisket and steak. The Pho was delicious it was on the saltier side than what I'm used to but not too salty where I couldn't enjoy it. The medium was a really big portion for me. It was about 2-3 servings for me in a large bowl. There is both a dine in option and to go. Both you pay at the register. When I came it was pretty busy which was a reassuring sign. In addition to cooked food they offer foods such as prepackaged kimchi, meats, fresh baked bread and snacks. The restaurant itself has decent seating. Purely food based review: Bun Riêu - Tomato Crab soup is super underrated. Great in the mornings or for lunch. R and I came here specifically to get a couple of grilled pork bahn mi sandwiches for a late weekday lunch. There is always parking available in the parking lot shared with other businesses in the same strip mall as Lee's Bakery. As soon as customers walk through the door, they come immediately to the front counter where they are met by an employee. Curiously, when I went to Lee's Bakery, there was a sign at the end of the front counter that stated "THE DINING SECTION IS CLOSED" although there were some customers sitting and eating at tables in the dining area. Oh well, R and I were going to get sandwiches for take out, anyway. The employees all wore face masks, as did all customers walking into the restaurant. The woman at the order counter was all business, and I felt just a little rushed by her. She quickly and efficiently took our orders, and even repeated our sandwich orders to confirm she wrote down everything correctly. She spoke so fast that I missed some parts of what she was saying, so I just said, "Yeah," hoping that she repeated everything correctly. We both ordered the grilled pork bahn mi sandwiches with extra veggies, which, after about a 10 minute wait, we received wrapped with white paper with the customary thin rubber band holding the paper to the sandwich, and both put into a plastic bag. We ate our sandwiches in my car under the shade of a tree at the nearby Chevron gas station. The grilled pork meat had a slightly sweet but very delicious flavor. The crunchiness of the thinly sliced carrots and pickled radish, the added heat from the jalapeno peppers, and the aromatic smell and tangy citrus flavor of the cilantro sprigs made for a fresh, crunchy and yummy bahn mi. The French baguette bread held its form, staying slightly flakey on the outside and firm (but not tough) on the inside, preventing the sandwich from getting soggy. The only thing that I could suggest to improve this sandwich is for Lee's Bakery to add more meat. However, since the sandwiches cost less than $6, this is not a deal breaker. I also ordered a bbq pork banh mi to go to eat later. I got the le combo banh mi which came out first, followed by the pho a minute later. Everything was stellar. I wouldn't say that Lee's has the best Banh Mis in terms of taste, but they are very generous with their portions. As my favorite banh mi restaurants have been closed because of COVID, I have been regularly going to Lee's about once or twice a week all month. They have remained open the whole time, and service has been consistent each time. You can call in your order and pick it up or come to store to order. Their service is very quick, friendly, and easy to order. Their sandwiches are a little more pricey than other places, but they also have the buy 5 get 1 free offer. I've been getting 12 sandwiches for $38.50 which is a pretty great deal. You have the option to get vegetables on the inside or outside. A lot of places don't give you enough when you ask for it on the side, but Lee's gives plenty. The meat portions are way more than any other place I've been. Even though toppings are plentiful, I do have to add some soy sauce when I get home because it's not as flavorful as I'd like it to be. Maybe because they give so much meat and vegetables, which I'm not complaining about! Their bread is also really soft. I wish they toasted it a little or it was a little more crunchy. I generally toss it in the toaster oven for a little bit when I get home. Overall, Lee's is a great place to stop by for a quick affordable snack or meal or even just to get your Vietnamese cravings.
